Pauline's cottage is our favorite place to come and rest. She provides everything we could possibly want or need and she is so good to our dogs. Can't say enough good about her.

Had a few glitches that were worked out immediately amazing friendly accommodating staff. Love the location. Easy to get to. Very quiet
The staff is wonderful & they even had a surprise doggie bag when we checked in with treats & poop bags with a case! The rooms are always super clean & the beds are amazing! My husband & I have stayed a few times as a little getaway & look forward to staying there again!
Having stayed there for several days over the past 5 years, I can admit it's an excellent, quite, clean and worthy choice. The staff will not bother you at all, always there to help you. I enjoyed their free-for-all jacuzzi and pool. Nice place near Elk Lake and Saanich. Bus stop almost outside.
The receptionist staff were not welcoming whatsoever. I wanted to ask a quick question but was left waiting to the point where I decided to walk away. I attended a professional event in the banquet hall. The room was a little dated in regards to the furniture and carpeting. The serving staff, in contrast to the receptionists, were excellent! The food served was mediocre but I enjoyed the varied selection...
Had a great experience here and I've never seen a hotel so accommodating to pets. We had a room with outdoor access and they prepared it by covering the couch with a sheet and provided a spare towel for our 4 legged family member. It definitely made us feel welcome and happy to stay.
The restaurant is great, it's called The Lakes and they have good breakfasts. The dinner is alright, but I like them mostly for breakfast/brunch. They can be really busy around noon, so the earlier the better.

Very easy to access from transit and only 8 min bus ride from downtown Victoria. Reception staff was super friendly and helpful giving us a map and sightseeing suggestions. The room was more spacious than expected with a small kitchen table, microwave, fridge, sofa, TV, 2 closets, mirrors, washroom and 2 queen beds. Ideal for multiple people and longer stays.
This is NOT a chain, but run by a kind family. The room was very large - with full kitchen. Just ask to borrow plates, etc. at the front desk. We were able to do our laundry in the evening. Nice place north of Victoria downtown. The folks at the desk called us a cab when we needed one.
The room we stayed at was a lot larger than we thought. It also came fully supplied from amenities such as soap and towels to a fridge and keurig machine. We are really happy with the service and the place exceeded our expectations. The front desk lady, assumed to be the owner, was friendly and also directed our attention to events and attractions happening that weekend. She was extremely helpful and...

We were very impressed with the size of the rooms. They were huge! And very clean with comfy bedding. For the price we paid, we consider this a hidden gem. It is near a Starbucks, Tim Hortons, several restaurants and a 7-11. You will be spoiled for choice, all within walking distance. One small issue we encountered was that we could hear the people above us moving around in the morning, the floor...
The may be the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Excellent value for the rate and located near many amenities. I liked to walk downtown (20 min) but there are buses that pass by every few minutes as well if you are not driving.

This place is awesome! So much thought has gone into so many things that are important these days. We were particularly impressed with but being so bike friendly, no single use cups in the room, refillable shower stuff and 24/7 coffee and tea at reception. Staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. I am rarely impressed with places like this but the place is an exception!
We love this place! We chose it because it cost less than the hotels downtown. It turned out to be the perfect place for a visitor without a car. It's across the street from a mall and food court and half a block to Denny's, KFC and Starbucks. The hotel is cute, clean and has free bike and skateboard rentals. The staff is fun and friendly and our room had a balcony. And there is bus stop across...
Wonderful experience for us. The vibe and decor are so fun and guest centered. Really focused on ensuring we had a comfortable stay and every detail was thought out and anticipated. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, knowledgeable and generous with their time and suggestions. Borrowing the free guest bikes added a huge bonus to the stay. We saw Victoria from a whole new perspective and saved...
Can't go wrong for the price here. We loved the slide, hottub and pool. We also used the free bikes to do a little self guided tour. Staff was amazing, helpful and super friendly. Only thing I disliked was that the street noise was a bit loud at night as were the people above us. I would just stay on the upper level next time.
Rooms are clean and spacious with a modern TV. The staff is nice and they offer regular cleaning. Great place for kids and it is in a good location. Only few comments, my plane was at 8 and the staff wouldn't let me stay beyond 11:30. An hour or two would have been nicer. And a bottle of water and some coffee in the room would have made it more pleasant. You wouldn't feel like taking a walk to the...
Stayed here back in August 2017. This hotel is awesome. The staff were friendly, the rooms were beautiful, and the location was close to a bus stop and in walking distance of shops. It was a good 3-day stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cheaper hotel to stay at while in Victoria.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night in this beautiful B&B. We had the "Serengeti" and the "Hemingway" suite. Both were very lovely and cozy. Charly and Patti are very friendly and have a lot of tips for places to visit. If we come back to Victoria we will definitely book this B&B again!
We had a great stay the host are extremely sweet and the room was very clean. It is outside the Victoria hussle so, it was quite. The breakfast was huge and they catered to food allergies.
We had a wonderful stay here. Spotlessly clean room and facilities and a lovely breakfast. The hosts are very attentive and go out of their way to help.:-)
This is a very nice bed and breakfast. The room is well decorated, like it's out of an antique book. The owners are great too, nice and friendly people.
Stayed here a year and half ago. It was quiet and the food was amazing! Our hostess was kind, gracious and provided excellent conversation! For anyone looking for this kind of atmosphere, I would highly recommend staying here!

I found my stay at HI Victoria to be great. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place was quite clean. Yeah, it's right on Yates and across the street from Lucky, so there's a good amount of noise at night but that's what earplugs are for. The breakfast was typical hostel fare. My bed was comfortable and the locker was a $5 deposit, of which $4 were returned on check-out.
Was kept awake by people yelling outside every night. The dorms are very large with up to 20 beds. The carpet in the dorm is badly stained and I would rather have Linoleum in a dorm, so the floors could be mopped. The kitchen compost was really piling up and it appeared it was only emptied once per week, since there were five, five gallon pails. This is unsanitary as the compost was decomposing...
Simples.
This place was alright, although the elevator to my bunk bed didnt work, and how jaundice of them to not repair it for me, Im only 5'3 Im pretty much a pokemon
Very nice place. Close to downtown and the Seawall. I slept in one of the female dorms. There was about 4 of us in a room for 20, so it was very quiet in that way, but they're right across from a bar and it might be a bit noisy until 2ish. Showers are nice and hot. Everything seemed to be in good repair. Fitted sheets on the beds and towels that are not just white indicates they don't have a linen...

Simply amazing! BEAUTIFUL garden with perfect little seating areas to quietly soak it all in while relaxing with a book our conversation. The cottage was cozy, quaint, and very comfortable. We absolutely love it!
This B&B is just a couple blocks from where the Victoria Clipper docks. It's a beautiful old house with gorgeous gardens. The room we had was very generous with a separate bedroom, living area, bathroom and small but complete kitchen. The house has several community areas to relax and visit. The innkeepers are very nice and responsive to requests and inquires. The breakfast was absolutely amazing....
Wonderful stay at Albion Manor. The Shakespeare room was great - comfy and quiet. The house is unique and beautiful, in a great neighborhood and within easy walking distance of central Victoria. Fernando and Don do a great job making their guests feel at home. Breakfasts are particularly special.
Really enjoyed my stay at Albion's Oscar Wilde room (one of a total of 8 rooms + cottage). The artefacts, curios and books inside the house are so fascinating to look at, explore and read, but the fancy breakfast service where 8-10 guests at a time sit around a large table in a dining room and eat out of quite Victorian looking plates and bowls, really takes the cake. It's a good time to meet other...

Extremely comfortable rooms and overall a great time staying in the hotel the location was absolutely terrific, you are close to the parliament building the museum government street and the fishermen’s wharf. Almost everything you need to do is on 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. And the view was absolutely stunning you can watch boats take off and sea planes land. If you’re visiting Victoria...
We wanted to love our stay, but unfortunately we were disappointed. We chose this hotel because it was our first get away as parents without our daughter, and thought it sounded lovely with the views and amenities. We stayed two nights. The room had a great view, but the room itself was dated. We also weren’t told at check in that there was no housekeeping for those who stay less than three nights...
Amazing location, feels like the sea planes are going to land in your room if you get the right one! Service was excellent and easy to walk along thr coastal path to Fisherman's wharf or the other way to central Victoria. Great place.
I recently stayed and attended a conference here at the Laurel. I was truly blown away with the positive experience. My room was exceptional with one of the best views in the city. All staff went above and beyond being super friendly and receptive. The food at the conference was to die for. Thank you so much and I am excited to go back!
Absolutely amazing hotel. The rooms are clean, bright, and spacious. We had a room with an unbeatable view of the harbor - we even got to see a heron frequent the shellfish beds in front of the hotel! Staff was excellent and made our stay great, and were so helpful when we forgot something in the room after checking out. The restaurant was delicious and we were always able to quickly get a table. They...
Had a dinner sent to our room with wine, it was fantastic. We had awesome service from all the staff that we interacted with at the hotel.

Good hotel right at the center of everything! Lots of good restaurants and tourist places are near by. We were able to see the Victoria Day Parade from our room! Only disadvantage is you can hear traffic sound at night, if you are sensitive then book a room that doesn’t face the Main Street!
The hotel has really comfortable beds, awesome pillows, great water pressure, and atmosphere. There is a slight smell to the hotel that is not completely unpleasant. It kind of smells like old books. It's unfortunate that the parking is limited and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The hotel does have a good security system in place to combat the neighborhood issues. The staff are very welcoming...
Room was decent enough, but nothing special or nearing luxury.... the problem is you are paying luxury prices in summer season for a clean but budget style hotel..... close to shopping and food downtown, but also close to homeless sleeping in doorways and wandering around..... at the right price, say under $175 a night, not a bad option ... but with the high season rates you are getting really ripped...
This hotel was nice for our 1-night stay. You can park outside the hotel for 10-15 mins while checking in which was super convenient. The staff member who checked us in was friendly and helpful. We were provided with a map to find the hotel's parking due to the one-way streets. The hotel's parking is not attached to the hotel but not far away either. It is underground, safe and easily accessible. The...
Stayed here for two nights recently and found the location fantastic in downtown Victoria, the staff insanely lovey and helpful and the room cozy. Bed was super comfy and the pillow were nice and solid, not like the ones that just sink right through when you lay down. It was perfect for someone with acid reflux who needs to prop myself up from time to time. Had two great night’s sleep and didn’t...
Excellent hotel right in the heart of downtown Victoria. Hotel was clean, had a neat restaurant/bar, bed was very comfy and bathroom floor was heated! Mai was very helpful checking me in and out....well I don't think she was checking me out (haha). Nonetheless, it was a great location that is walkable to literally everything you need or want. Will be staying here next time I'm in Victoria.

Great location, within walking distance of waterfront, float plane, whale watch, and downtown. Very comfortable rooms.
GREAT building. Visit an old English Club, but one that allows both genders in. I have not stayed in the guest rooms. The common areas are what makes this place special.
Joined the club in March. Nice quiet peaceful atmosphere. Have eaten some awesome dinners. Five star meals and service.
Beautiful old world charm right in the heart of downtown. Especially love the rooftop deck and views.
Took a tour as we are considering joining the club. Our tour guide, Danielle, was friendly while being very informative and helpful. An impressive landmark, with rich heritage... truly beautiful building. Amenities were nice, and the location is amazing. Non members can book rooms here, might be a unique place to stay on your next visit to Victoria.
I went here for a work christmas party and nearly every part of the whole experience was amazing. Truly some of the best food I've had. BUT to be fully honest, the beef was not good at all. So chewy that if you went to take a bite of your beautiful sandwich that you just assembled, you wouldn't be able to pull away and you'd be stuck gnawing until something gives.

I had a perfect stay at the Gaslight Inn. The location is convenient, the room was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The host is very nice and the process was so easy. I loved the breakfast that was included. Highly recommended!
We stayed in the basement suite and it was so private. Separate entrance and keys were provided, along with a private smoking area and delicious daily baked goods made by the host herself. Ultra pleasant and so nice. One of the easiest 5 stars ever. I thought it was really close to downtown, government street is like a 10 minute walk, maybe less?
