Hotels in Edson

We ate at the Fresh Vine for breakfast. They open at 530 am. Perfect for us, as we get off nite shift then. They also have a deal with the hotel guests for fixing breakfasts quick for them. Very good. Simple but hearty and always fresh. Thx everyone. And fast!

Shout out to Jackie at the front desk. There was some confusion with my online booking and she handled it in a most professional manner. Excellent customer service.

Clean bright rooms. Well kept by the friendly staff who always had a hello! The adjoining lounge and restaurant are very convenient and easy to get to. Delicious food and portions are plentiful!

Comfortable, large rooms and the hotel was very quiet. The pool and hot tub were great, but the hot tubs jets didn't all work and the timer for the water for the water slide was quite delayed. Pay attention to the price they charge you for the room and your booking price as there was a discrepancy. They did honor the booking price however, and it was an overall good experience.

We stayed at this hotel for work, and did not expect it to turn into a three month temp placement. We had our young son with us, and the staff was amazing. Melissa was super kind and helpful. Everyone was really nice to our son. They worked with us often when we needed something and really made what could have been a very unpleasant experience much, much easier.

Really great place to stay. The staff are all friendly and eager to assist their guests. The housekeeping is great, and keeps things in order without disturbing you whether you work night or day shift. If I'm ever working in Edson again, I will always stay here. We were staying here for work and it was the perfect home away from home. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff are all so pleasant and accommodating. If we needed anything the were quick and happy to help. We stayed in one of the suites with a stove top oven, full fridge, washer and dryer, it was a large suite and it was extremely handy. They had everything in suite that a person could need...

Decent rooms decent rates and very friendly staff breakfast needs a little less mass produced and more personalization but still good

I stay in Edson a few times a year and have stayed at a number of hotels through out all of Alberta. This one is the only one I keep going back to after my first stay in Edson. The staff are always super friendly and the rooms are nice. They are typical hotel rooms you would find anywhere else but the staff stick out the most to me. Breakfast, the bed, the laundry facilities, the front-end ladies were excellent ! Overall, it's very comfy.

Most of staff very good, usually very clean rooms, Poor, very limited choice for complementary breakfast (never changes) and supper (if you like soup and stale buns)

The breakfast far exceeded our expectations for a continental breakfast. The made-to-order waffles were a huge hit with my three granddaughters. Special shoutout to Candace :)

My wife and I stayed there with our dog. It was very comfortable and reasonably priced. They even provided a very decent breakfast Scrambled eggs, sausages, potato, yogurt, cereal and many other items. I found the hotel very up to date and new looking unlike the comment another guest wrote in June, I did not see any sinking beds or bed bugs. I was surprised to read that review.

This is my first time here and the rooms were very clean. They also have amazing beds. Friendly staff, good internet. The food was alright and good channels on the tv overall this hotel was amazing and thank you for the amazing service

The rooms are clean and spacious, loved the shampoo lol. We could barely hear the people above or around us so that was huge since we have 2 small kids. Valerie was wonderful, making sure we always had what we needed at breakfast and even watched/played with our youngest so I could run to the washroom with our toddler. Really great stay - we'll be back!

We came in around Christmas time, last min due to unfortunate events with a nearby hotel. They were super accommodating, friendly and just all around a breath of fresh air. We will be returning every year now. Thank you Ramada

Hotel is okay. Under staffed and the 6 am housekeeping is a little much. Pet friendly rooms only have queen beds which is beyond me, very much a just pay your bill have your sleep and move on kinda place. You can do better Ramada!

Good room rate! My first stay, the room wasn't as clean as I would have expected. On my return trip, the room was much cleaner. It was comfortable and is close to amenities.

Room was cozy, the bed was not the standard Super 8 bed I have come to know and love. Not as comfy as the normal beds. Staff was very friendly.

Room was very neat and clean. Bed was comfortable but pillows were very thick. Service was good staff at the dining hall was very polite and helping but the front reception the guy was having some medical issues I think. They should keep some one fit at the front desk. The door key was not working.

Poor customer service, cleanliness wasn't good. Washroom is not enough clean.Worst part is you have to park your vehicle on your own risk. Not recommend. Surprisingly just opposite of the motel there is a Mosque. Love that part

The Black Gold Inn is cheap and cheerful. The Black Gold offers clean rooms and a bed to sleep in for a low cost. If you need somewhere to stay last minute and are short on cash this is the place to go.

Family run, well maintained, all rooms are no smoking no pets so there's no smell in the halls or anything. You can tell the paint is often touched up and the rooms are cleaned well. Not many hotels are this well kept after so many years in service. 10 minutes walk to Sobeys which goes well with the kitchenettes which have all the dishes and cutlery, pots and pans, 4 burner stove, microwave, giant...

We stayed in the Black Gold Inn March 30th 2021, we had a late check-in (10:30 pm). The lady was very nice and helpful, three guys and three rooms. The rooms are very clean and we will stay there again after our next rotation. Thanks, for the great service!

Motel run by nice and attentive chineese couple. Rooms spacious and one of the best kitchens I've ever seen for that price range - - Induction stove and all pots and pan and cutlery you need. And individual internet WiFi station for every room!

The motel was good like most of the motels I have been for work just missing few cleaning things but no biggie if you can suck it up like a man. I called the motel because I have bad experiences using online reservation before and from since then, i never made online reservations from any motels, just simply search up motels in those area instead of being lazy ass and relying to online reservation...

This was the only motel I STAYED AT BECAUSE I WAS TIRED, that insisted they take $100 off my debit or VISA and then, after they inspect the room in the morning at check-out, I get it back. I do not care who has trashed or stolen stuff at the place before - I get offended with anyone taking money off my card like this. I Stayed here on the way home from a long trip— was a great experience. The front desk attendant was super friendly and welcoming— this was great as I was very tired and travelling alone. The room was large very clean... in fact, the bathroom sparkled ! The motel is old but well taken care of and clean. The bed was new and comfy and it was very quiet at night. Staff is great and it is fairly quiet if you are on the back side. I first stayed in a room across the street from Tim Hortons which is a bad idea. Truckers park on the street and leave their trucks running in the middle of the night, despite the many signs saying no idling. I stayed in two different rooms and both could use some upgrading. It's okay...kitchenettes are super small..no cupboard space...the fridge is ridiculous..the freezer part comes right down so its hard to put certain things in there no much for space...the cleaning staff are pretty good..friendly, cleaning is okay ...owners seem to be okay

The rooms are not fancy but they are clean. AC doesn't seem to be as good as it could be the weather is cool out but room is hot and is April. Service is very friendly and I would say good value for your money.

Stayed here for a week and absolutely 0 complaints, clean quiet place. I was there for work and didn’t have any interruptions past 9 pm. Recommend for sure

Fair rates for an inflated hotel experience in Edson. Room was well kept, modern bathroom; carpet could use an upgrade. The staff was excellent in the front office.
