More like 2.5 stars. Reasonably priced and close proximity to fernie ski slope and a short drive to downtown. Staff didn't seem friendly and room isn't cleaned well. Found an empty can of Pringles and cup under the bed. Also can hear everything outside from people walking by the room to the freight trains passing through the night. We had a very pleasant stay over New year's with our family. We really loved the close proximity to the downtown area and the ski hill was only a short car ride. The room was clean and quite spacious. Great set up with the three double beds and we had lots of room to set up a small cot as well. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was fantastic. The "hands off" approach really made us able to appreciate our guests and company, without worrying about lodge staff. The ability to chose our own caterers, decorations, alcohol service etc, was absolutely perfect for us as a couple. We hosted our wedding at Elk View Lodge and had such a wonderful time! The space was perfect for our families to enjoy inside and out. The view is amazing and the house itself was bright and clean. It was great to have the space to ourselves for three nights, so we could enjoy the company of our guests before and after the wedding. Thank you Shantelle and Andy!

My husband and I booked Elk View Lodge for 3 nights for our June 21, 2019 wedding. It was the perfect venue for us. We had a large booking taking over the whole lodge. We found it easy to access the ski hill and head into town if we felt the need for dinner out or just a grocery run. The house is way bigger than the photos and website give it credit for. I am all ready planning my next adventure back with a whole new group of people!

Great / cheap way to stay in Fernie. The place was relatively very clean. Couple showers were out of order and very small when using, but overall the experience was good. If you are looking for a cheap / cost effective way of staying in Fernie for a couple of nights I would recommend the Raging Elk.

AMAZING HOSPITALITY!!! As a family being evacuated from kelowna and every hotel booked, Sadie went out of her way to make a space for us and our SON. Her generosity and lovely personality was one for the books. The kitchen was super clean and the games room was just what we needed to decompress. Great spot, full bar, large kitchen and live music. Rooms are a bit small and a bit more cleaning needed but otherwise good value.

Great location. Walking distance to everything downtown. A little loud at night but no other complaints
