Wonderful, empathetic, and very personal help from Charlyn at the front desk at check-in and problem solving for the rest of our stay. She worked to get us exactly what we wanted for our stay. She is truly exceptional and made sure we were happy at this lovely hotel.
Wonderful stay. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. I was very pleased that there were non dairy options for the cereal and coffee in the breakfast area. No complaints. I would definitely stay here again
Excellent experience at the Fernie location. Impressed by the professional and pleasant staff as well as the attention to sustainability in the room and at the included breakfast buffet (water bottle filling station, real plates and cutlery, no single use plastic toiletry containers, etc.). We even had a great view of the Three Sisters from our room window! Would highly recommend this hotel.
Modern, clean, and friendly! The room was very clean and wasn't missing any of the important amenities. Staff were super friendly during check-in and out. Location is easily accessed and has adequate parking. The included breakfast was great and was staffed to ensure hot food was hot and plentiful. Will definitely being staying here again when in the region.
Great small town hotel, have stayed here numerous times over the years and never disappoints. Cookie at check-in, water bottle refill station and coffee machine station in main lobby, breakfast was decent, free parking, good indoor/outdoor hot tub setup. This time we paid summer peak rates and still didn't feel too bad about it due to the setup. Highly recommend.
The room was large and the bathroom very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and tv a decent size; staff were welcoming and responsive.

We're a couple of international 'Travel Journos' and ski around the globe including BC. We have our favourite large and small resorts and off course a selections of mountains and accommodation we like to spend extra time at. Lizard Creek Lodge and Fernie are on our list of top 3 places we like to ski and stay at. Yes, there are always more challenging slopes and larger Hotels like the LCL, but few...
Have stayed here a few times now and enjoy it a lot. Great staff, nice rooms, restaurant and bar on premises is very good!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The one bedroom loft was the perfect size for our family with enough space for everyone. The kitchen was very well appointed and we weren't left needing anything. The room was extremely clean and looks to have been recently painted with new furniture. Beds were actually very comfortable! Check in and out was simple and fast. Service was prompt and courteous. There was...
Best ski in/ski out that I have ever seen. The location is simply amazing. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Our room 1101 needs update, mostly in the bathroom. The shower head and caulking around the bath need replacement and the window treatments in the room were beat up. Parts of the wall in the entrance were chipped too. A spiderweb could be seen on the celling near the bed. The setting...
Great location, you can ski straight down to the lift. Rooms were clean well maintained and we're equipped with kitchens, washer and dryer. Plenty of facilities, pools, hot tubs, excercise rooms, didn't try the food. Staff were friendly and good.
I'm enjoying my stay here. The day I arrived I felt totally welcome. The staff really comes together to make you feel at home. The suite is wonderful, cozy and equipped with all the comforts you may need and also very clean. The bed is super comfortable. It's the perfect place to be whether you're on vacation or on a business trip. It's nice to have 3 Jacuzzies available, which were very well...

I highly recommend staying here!! We had just been tenting for 8 days, we had so many problems leaving our site, showed up at 7pm to realize the room we booked through a site had screwed us over. Sandy, while dealing with 5 other families at the same time, managed to help us while also dealing with the other company with grace. We are so unbelievably grateful for Sandy for helping us out because the...
It's okay. The hotel looks beautiful and the customer service was good. The location is great and there is plenty of parking. But the hotel does need a really good scrubbing. We had multiple stains on the duvet and opted for sleeping without it. It was overall grimy. You can't beat the price.
Hotel was good. Normal rooms and bathrooms if staying in a standard room. Pool was amazing for kids. Also a close walk to the river where you can float and hang out. Great location for biking as it's close to the ski hill and other trails.
We were on a road trip and stayed at 4 different places. Stanford Resort was the best! We stayed in the family suite. PROS -very friendly helpful staff -great pool -awesome view of the river from the balcony -good breakfast -beautiful building with a spacious breakfast area -awesome room with separate upstairs area with King Sized Bed CONS -no AC on the upper part of the room. The staff were...
Great Place! You are greeted by warm, welcoming staff who offer a seamless check-in process. The decor, featuring rich wooden accents and a roaring fireplace, makes you feel right at home. Our room was a spacious layout with tasteful mountain-inspired design, and high-quality furnishings. We had a nice, private balcony that overlooked the river which was beautiful. The hot tub faced toward the mountain...
The rooms are comfortable but showing age. There is s pool with waterslide so great for kids. It's off the highway enough there is no road noise. The breakfast is good. All you need to start your day

Clean and good sized rooms, decent breakfast with coffee all day. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved their decors and the area rugs. Great job on the renovations. Kitchenette is a great amenity. The Fernie free shuttle stops at this hotel.
The person that checked us in was very friendly, happy and had lots of knowledge. Let us know where everything was and 2hat time breakfast would be, awesome job. Nice rooms, but the heater needs to be put on a thermostat so it doesn't constantly run.
Better than expected! The rooms were a good size , very clean and a good price point. The big hot tub outside was very nice to relax in. The beds were comfortable and the street noise didn't bother us at all. The breakfast was simple but perfect for what you need ( Hard boiled eggs, diy waffles, yogurt, muffins, etc). Would stay here again if needed for a night.
The room was very clean. The bed is not too comfy. They have liquid soap, body wash and 2 in 1 shampoo in dispensers in the shower and by the sink so best to bring your own. There is a continental breakfast in the lobby each morning or Smitty's is right next door. The staff is helped and friendly. It is a 100% smoke free building. Skiing in the area is most excellent.
Great atmosphere and we'll decorated. Great stay, only detraction was that the breakfast was fairly minimal with options.
Just off the highway; super easy to find. They had good service, clean amenities, and a great hot tub (if not a little to soapy). Good bang for your buck in my opinion, a great place for a bunch of people to congregate for a weekend on the slopes or exploring the area. Beautiful surroundings and not far from the border if you're interested in visiting the states.

Outstanding small hotel beautiful clean room and amenities great staff shout out to Lisa on front desk and young girl from UK when I checked in. Housekeepers Outstanding could stand more help hotel full. Only negative is restaurant is closed. I highly recommend this hotel if you can get a room reasonable for area
This is truly a pet friendly hotel. Upon entering the room there was treats , a toy and bowl with my doggies name on it. A Small map to the local dog park. Only about a 10 min walk. Probably the best dog park I've ever seen Also even closer the Elk river walk was perfect for late evening walk(Bed was extremely comfortable. Great hotel with a mix of standard hotel rooms and multi bed rooms. Good amenities and it has a restaurant at the reception. But the restaurant is a separate unit from what you pay for when you pay for the room. The included breakfast is a breakfast "snack" including muffins, small yogurts, fruits, and coffee/tea. Served next to the reception, and you can eat as much as you want. But don't expect a...
Stay here for two weeks during a Nonstop ski improvement camp and the facilities are great. boot room, ski repair room the ever so important hot tub that I used almost every day after freezing temperatures on the mountain. Great value for accommadations. . Stayed on mountain as opposed to in town. 7 minutes away. Would be better once spa, gym and sauna open.
Convenient location, right on the hill, heated underground parking and practical room layout. Was a little dated and just the basics maintained but great for the price. Did not see/use spa/pool facilities due to COVID. Each unit might be different but ours had the absolute bare minimum.
Thank you Ryan, Holly and Team for helping make our family visit from South Africa to Canada, Fernie a wonderful experience. We enjoyed all your great facilities at Cornerstone and can attest to your great and sincere customer service. We look forward to coming back to visit!! You’re a super group!
My friend and I stayed at the Cornerstone Lodge on a Sunday night while in Fernie. The front desk was extremely accommodating with my late check in, as my friend and I had a rafting activity leaving when we were due to check in. The condo was very clean. Loved our own hot tub on the balcony but also used the outdoor heated pool and other hot tubs on property. Views were great and so close to the ski hill. Wasn’t aware that this condo had two bathrooms so the en-suite was a pleasant surprise
Felt like home. If I asked for something it was delivered. Can't complain about much. Had a great time in a great room

Great time at The Griz Inn! Felt welcomed, easy access, right on the hill, Rusty Edge bar fun, close & super friendly staff😀😀! Loved the slightly older feel and vibe yet everything worked great and want to go back ASAP👍⛷⛷😀😀
I booked an appartement in Air BNB and it was perfect! However the service was ok. I know it is off season right now but we had to ask front desk when we wanted to go at the pool and the front desk didn't seems happy and was not super professional. Other than that the location is amazing and it is really quiet
Super comfortable place to stay. Updated 80s vibe. Feet from the elk chairlift and bunny hill t-bar. The rusty edge restaurant has great specials and surprisingly good vegies and salads. Try their Mediterranean platter for something tasty and guilt free. Outdoor hot tube great for a sore skier at the end of the day. Look forward to our next stay.
Great little in at the base of the ski hill. Went during off season and it was nice and quiet. Pool and hot tub are well maintained and were lovely to relax in.
Allowed me to cancel last minute when my friends bailed last minute. Then on my next trip when I actually stayed there, they were laid back and very helpful. Great rates on decent sized rooms with great internet (the cheap g floor rooms have thier own internet for every room with 100 download and upload).

Stayed in the alpine suite. A great location, the definition of ski in and ski out. Great large space for groups or families, a little dated but can't beat the location and price.
Even if I could afford the ritzy hotels next door I would probably choose this place. I just hope it doesn't get bought out by a big chain and have more stars added. As it stands, the Fernie Slopeside Lodge is perfect- excellent location, friendly staff and comfortable beds. You can see the chairlift right outside the window and there is free parking right in front. Both Fernie and this hotel are a...
Stayed 2 nights over a weekday, reasonably priced and clean. Hot shower and good pressure. Courteous staff. Right at the base of the slopes. Can't get much better for the price. Would stay again.
I love staying here. The rooms are simple but the proximity to the hill for the price can't be beat. There is parking included either in the upper lot near the front entrance but also behind the building there are some spots. Each room includes use of ski locker that is designed with heaters under all the lockers to help dry your gear. Ski right down to the back door and put your gear away for the...
Half decent rooms, for what you pay. It's right in the hill though. Perfect for a one or two night stay for a if you're skiing everyday. There are a few places to eat in walking, only one is open for dinner. Also a liquor store within walking distance. This would be a perfect place to stay with a larger group so you can split the cost, but if you have an extra $$ bucks to spend I'd go stay at one...
Great budget hotel. You can literally ski to the front door. To get back to the lifts about a 1 minute walk up a hill. The beds are doubles not queens but its a great location and there are indoor hot tubs. There's also a liquor store attached which is convenient. It's always been clean in my experience and I've stayed here a few times. There are common areas with couches and chairs to lounge and play...

A secluded Alpine inspired B&B. Setting is mountainside forest. The steep drive from the hiway to the resort requires AWD or 4x4 type traction. Side by side 1 bdrm cedar chalets are simply appointed. Room and kitchen are clean. Breakfast was good, nutritious and ready to eat at the time ordered the night before. Hosts are easy and accomodating. Beautiful location and views, clean and comfortable cabin, wonderful hosts! Our "go to" destination in the Fernie area.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Birch Meadows Lodge B & B and booked our next visit before we departed. Sonya and Marcel are incredible hosts and we can't wait to return this winter. The log chalets are beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Their property is very private and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Breakfast is always served hot and fresh. Quiet little cabin tucked away off the highway! The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Our breakfasts are hearty and a great way to start the day. Would recommend to anyone looking for the peace and quiet aspect that the mountains have to offer!
Great B and B with beautiful scenery and great location. Near to the Fernie ski atea, but very quiet. Love it here.

The loveliest and most beautiful Guesthouse I've ever experienced! The rooms are beautiful and cozy, the atmosphere calm and relaxing, the hosts are warmhearted and prepare diversified delicious breakfast and on top of that: the fireplace outside on the porch, which can be used anytime (I enjoyed the evening at the fireplace so much that I didn't even think about taking pictures at night :) )
Cannot say enough about Twisted Timber! WOW, what an incredible place to spend our ski vacation through Canada! It is like staying at a family members home, that is how comfortable Susan & Andre make you feel! Superb accomodation. Really comfortably rooms, very friendly and helpful hosts and the best breakfasts!

I was not sure what to expect being a small town. The price was affordable and very pet friendly. The service was excellent. The hot tub room puts you in a whole different world, in mind and spirit. My room was very clean amd welcoming. Very well put together. I would certainly recommend to anyone .. the pet even gets a welcome bag.
This is not your average lodge, WOW! The amenities they have are endless from a neat tiny home experience to free laundry. They are dog friendly and have puppy swag too! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend!
Bike friendly. Very comfortable rooms. Really friendly and helpful staff member allowed us to wait and shelter from some heavy rain, when we showed up too early to check in and was able to get our room ready much earlier than the stated check in time which was greatly appreciated. Great location. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the decor was excellent. They offer free cruiser bike usage and are using a sign up method for use of the hot tub. This means you have the hot tub for 30 minutes by your selves which is good. Location maybe an issue for some as it is on the main road through town and you can hear some road noise. For us we found it quiet and a none issue...

Visited Fernie for the first time and stayed here because I booked later than I should have. The rooms are not fancy, but are very comfortable, at least mine was. I was a single traveler and stayed on one of the studio suites. The room was quite cozy, and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water -- both of these are necessary when skiing at Fernie...
Definitely a 5 star stay to me! Apartment was clean with all necessities including 2 portable AC units. Very beautiful view from top floors, clean pool and jet tubs. Fitness center was also great. All at a very reasonable price (at least for summertime)
Great summer stay! We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. One queen and 2 twin, plus sofa bed the price was very reasonable for the area. You'd have to buy your own condiments and oil etc if you wanted to use the kitchen. Also no AC, they provide fans. You can prop the door open to use the hallway AC haha. But it was clean and spacious, great location about 10 minutes to downtown Fernie. The view...
I agree that the location and the hot tubs and pool were great and we loved the rental shop right in the Lodge! The decor and some of the furniture are showing their age, but, everything was adequate and the beds were comfy. We stayed in 101 - 2 bed, 2 bath - awesome for our family of 5 adults and 1 toddler. The unit faced the hill, the pool and had a nice balcony. We will try to rent this unit again...
The quality of the rooms has started to deteriorate I.e. equipment in the room and bedding. Location and hot tubs are best on the hill!
Stayed overnight for a snowboarding trip. Place is right at the base of the hill. We literally walk outside the building and there's the chair lift! Room fits 4 of us comfortably.

Great / cheap way to stay in Fernie. The place was relatively very clean. Couple showers were out of order and very small when using, but overall the experience was good. was a bit upset that the hot tub was not working for the beginning of our stay. Also the hide-a-bed I slept on was very very uncomfortable. but other then that everything was as good as the last time the group of people and I stayed in ?
I went for a massage with Laura Archibald. Amazing massage therapist!! Building is always very clean and quiet.
We stayed in suite 119 which was a beautiful air conditioned room including amenities such as coffee, tea, soap, hair care, body wash, travel guides and cable TV.
