Honestly - I’m not sure why you’d book anywhere else for your stay in Halifax if you like a friendly atmosphere in a historic setting. The Halliburton is a collection of old homes on Morris Street converted into a boutique hotel. Parking in back, with easy access from Morris Street as well. Comfortable rooms abound in this former college law school property. Easy walk to the piers and downtown. Avoid all the traffic snarls in Halifax and have easy access to dining downtown. You can order a continental breakfast in, but if you don’t mind an easy morning stroll there are several excellent coffee shops within 3-5 minutes walk. Of note Wired Monk within sight of the hotel, and Jolt Cafe with their amazing breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread, to name a few.

Classic boutique hotel. Loved our suite and the hotel's back garden. Friendly efficient staff. Excellent location, two blocks from the waterfront.

Great experience! We appreciated being close to the pier and water and walking all over the waterfront. The check in and check out was quick and we loved staying in a heritage building in late 1800s. It was also very quiet and not busy which we enjoyed.

The location of this hotel is the best part. Lots of stairs so be wary if you have mobility issues. The rooms are small but work for a few nights. Some areas can be noisy due to the blues club located behind it (ask for front of the house if possible). The library had a happy hour and the staff were delightful. Worth it to check it out.

No elevator. But I love this place!!! The staffs are nice and friendly. The room is beautiful and delicate. Having breakfast beside the window is so enjoyable and the bed n pillows are really comfy… make me fall asleep quickly. The water stream of the shower is big and feel so relaxing .
The only thing I don’t like is the room doesn’t have many spots to charge.. especially when my charger is not usb type.
Otherwise, I will book again definitely when I come back to Halifax. ( without much luggage ^^

Small boutique hotel. Three older buildings side by side. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Unfortunately they only had a double bed available instead of a King or queen. Mixup/misunderstanding during telephone reservation

Perfect inn. People are lovely, room was clean and cozy, food amazing.. .breakfast included and is served in a lovely cozy dining room. Location is perfect...a few feet from boardwalk and walking distance to downtown.

Beautiful, historic series of row houses functioning as well run and well cared for hotel in the heart of Halifax. it's near the bay and major streets but very quiet. Easy access to all historical sites and downtown.

This is a nice alternative to a large hotel for its location by the waterfront. However, I would have liked to love this more. For the price point it wasn’t much. WiFi in our room was weak. We were on the top floor and had a sloped ceiling which made getting in and out of bed something you had to bend to do. Restaurant closed super early (8:30). No bar. Breakfast not included (only $10 but...) and very meh. It was nice, and friendly staff, but only boutique prices. Amenities were not there.
