As a former employee of this place, I would not recommend it to anybody. Unsanitary work environments where they let those who live there into the kitchen to make food at any time. They don't have housekeeping on duty past 5pm so if you want anything you probably won't get it. Only one person at front desk, no manager on duty ever and when he is he will avoid anyone because he hates doing his job. Deerhurst is a much better resort and for similar prices. Cleaner living spaces and actual staff constantly. Don't waste your money and time here.

Amazing customer services at the resort. We left behind my daughter's school notes just this past weekend. Angie at the reception checked the room right away and arranged courier to delivery the notes to our home. We are very grateful!

We visited for a wedding, and the staff were very nice, especially in the restaurant. The room was quiet and comfortable. You could tell this place is an older hotel, but it was clean. There is no elevator, so dragging luggage up and down the stairs was a bit tough. Be sure to specify if you need an accessible room on the 2nd floor (which is the ground floor).
There is also a $30 amenities fee on top of the cost of the room, so keep that in mind when booking.
Overall, I give it 4/5 stars. Would stay again.

This is an amazing place for a great weekend with your family! Kids loved the swimming pool and hot tub! The view on the lake is just wonderful. “Mommy, this is the best breakfast we have ever had” I heard from happy kids :) I recommend Hidden Valley Resort for family time!

Truly beautiful location for all seasons, however, the resort itself is in need of updates/renovations. We have been here previously a few years back but it doesn’t seem like changes have been made yet. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Heads up that they do add on an amenity fee of $30 which is not included in the original total for the room. We didn’t get a chance to use the amenities but it does seem like they have quite a few and both an indoor and outdoor pool which looked nice.

Great view from the docking area especially for stargazing at night. There's also a fireplace so I recommend you grab some marshmallows for roasting :)

I recently stayed at Hidden Valley Resort and I have to say, the atmosphere was truly beautiful. The resort really put me in the Christmas spirit with all of the holiday decorations and festive atmosphere. The service at the resort was satisfactory, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and I felt comfortable and relaxed during my stay. However, I was a bit surprised when I was asked to sign a waiver upon arrival. I wasn't sure why they didn't mention this during booking, but I ended up signing it anyway. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Hidden Valley Resort and would recommend it to others.

I expected more for sure. For starters our room heaters were not working and even after complaining no one attended for hours and slept like that. It was cold fall time, not winters thankfully.
That brings me to the next point on service. They get that extra star for the restaurant and its staff. Always pleasant and helpful .
Remember it's an old property so nothing much to expect.
Nothing for children's recreation activities. Pool us fine but small. Jacuzzi and sauna were great.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at hidden valley resort. The hotel itself is outdated for sure and can use some renovations/paint etc on the walls, ceilings etc. which is why I removed a star. Our room was clean and comfortable though. The food was absolutely awesome - we had the dinner buffet on Friday night and then the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning, many delicious options to choose from and great price! We would definitely stay again.

When arriving, I was so pleasantly excited to see how great and big our room was.
The location was great. Staff were +++ courteous and helpful.
Yes perhaps there is some outdated carpet and walls, but if you’re just going to stay in your room and look at carpets and walls this isn’t the place to go.
This place is located in a beautiful spot. This time of year (fall) I was mesmerized by the beauty that surrounded us.
You won’t be let down if you’re an outdoors person who is looking for a comfortable place situated in a great spot.
