Deerhurst Resort, Huntsville1 / 50

Beautiful resort and excellent service! We stayed there in March 1-3, 2024 for their annual event of Beerhurst, at Deerhurst. The place was so busy but staff remained kind and patient, they were responsive to any and all of our concerns and clearly knew how to deal with such a busy event. Our daughter, as well as ourselves were very happy with our server Felix, from Compass, took the time to make us...
First time here and it was a great experience. The hotel was very nice and in the process of updating. Rooms were comfortable and large. The pool was huge and kids loved it. There was also an indoor play area for the kids and it was a great place for them to use up their near endless energy. I was really hoping to go skiing/snowshoe/hiking, but the weather was not cooperating. Went from -10°C with...
A nice getaway close to Toronto. It's a nice spot to try out different rentals right on the premises, like snowshoes and skates. You wouldn't get as nice trails as say at the neighboring Arrowhead park, but it's good to try multiple things out without paying extra rental costs. The resort has cool stuff available depending on the season and the process is easy and quick. They also have on site restaurants...
Beautiful resort and excellent service! We stayed there in February with a group attending the conference for the International Society of Arboriculture. The place was so busy but staff remained kind and patient, they were responsive to any and all of our concerns and clearly knew how to deal with such a busy event. We stayed in the Greens, our rooms were spacious, parking was right outside the door...
We had a great experience on a mid week getaway, although not all restaurants were open. We took advantage of the Golf Simulator & Spa (added cost), as well as the pool. Compass Lounge or restaurant was delicious and service was great. Food came out in a timely manner. Will definitely be back in the future and might even bring the kids with lots to do on the resort!
We came here for the first time with our 3 young children. The facility is very family friendly with lots to do for our kiddos. We also ventured out to do Back of Beyond Equine Centers sleigh ride which we all thoroughly enjoyed. It’s an extra cost, but worth every penny. The food we opted (because of the reviews) to cook in our kitchenette and head into town restaurants and it was all good and timely...

The renovation is completed and it is wonderful. Looks sophisticated and beautiful. The breakfast are is great too. Plenty of seating which was great for a family of four. The staff is always so nice and pleasant
Breakfast was good, lots of choice. The room was clean . The lower level is completely under construction but it didn’t bother us this included the pool area which we might have used if it was working.
We came to town from 4 hours away to purchase a van and a part was delayed, The Staff and Team at The Holiday Inn Express took great care of us, making sure we always had a place to stay! Staff were all awesome, room was clean and comfy. They were renovating so it will be a bright, beautiful and serene place when finished! In the interim, we were well cared for and they kept any noise and dust impeccable...
This hotel was great. Very clean, and the hotel staff was so welcoming and thoughtful. Even gave us tickets to family light show that night. We are heading back there this week!! :)
Honestly such a positive experience! We were visiting family and our stay was so enjoyable! Check in was super easy and quick, the staff was super friendly and helpful! The breakfast that was included was amazing! Great service and lots of options to choose from! Rooms were clean and standard. Kids loved using the pool! Location was great, close to everything. Had a very enjoyable stay and...
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Huntsville under necessity. My car went off the road and I had to find a place to stay. The manager was very accommodating and gave me a room even though the hotel was closed as there was no hydro. The next morning he held the room until the roads were cleared and I was well on my way home. The room was perfect and breakfast had everything you might want. Even with the...

Our room was great and being able to pull up to the patio doors to bring in our stuff was an added bonus. Breakfast was great as well. We will definitely be staying here again.
Reasonable location and price. However, they're walking. Rate was more expensive than online rates but they did price match... They worse than most inconvenient aspects was it. They started shoveling the pathway outside the rooms at 3:30 in the morning which I'm sure woke everybody up on the first floor in that area so it meant to pretty bad sleep for me at night. There was no one at the front desk...
It was good because of the location. Good spot for contractors. Overpriced, like almost everything in Ontario. They have a breakfast bar with variety but there is not a lot of room here and the staff could handle more rooms it seems, as there is lots of time for idle hands, and discussions. There is also a paper sign that says supplies are limited, someone printed off and stuck up in breakfast...
I’m happy I chose Comfort Inn. The price was amazing, and ground level access to your car. I was hesitant to stay here because the rooms were pet friendly and I am allergic to cats, but the room was so clean there was no issue! Walls are great at blocking out sound The air conditioner/fan can be set to constantly run, which I strongly prefer. Beds were comfortable. . The floor was pretty wet from...
I stayed in huntsville feb 13/2018 at this comfort inn ,,,great rooms, great beds and breakfast was great in the am,,,thx
My friend and I were two weary snowmobilers who were a bit lost and quite tired when we came off the lake in Huntsville at 8pm this past Friday (Feb. 9). We filled up with gas at the Canadian Tire and spotted the Comfort Inn sign across the street. When we walked through the front lobby we were greeted with a friendly smile from the gentleman working behind the desk who quickly got us a room and placed...

We stopped at this Best Western on our way to North Bay when bad weather made driving unsafe. I’ve never been disappointed staying at Best Western hotels - this location was as expected, awesome! The hotel is very clean. All common areas and the hallways are also well maintained. We were staying on the first floor so we didn’t get to see too much of the hotel, but what we did see, we really liked...
My favourite in this area, and I have stayed at all the major brands here. I love their excellent breakfasts that includes the fresh waffles, the eggs, sausages, and yogurts. They have a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine that is amazing! And it is available all day/night. The pool is warm and nice, just wished they never got rid of the whirlpool!!!! The rooms have queen size beds which are important...
This is a great Best Western. The rooms, halls, and common areas were clean and well maintained. The room we're in had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker, all of which we are happy to have used. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is satisfying and they have a great coffee machine. My only complaints are negligible, the pool is small, shallow...
The front desk staff were amazing. Super friendly and really helpful. We got snowed in on our Christmas Eve travels and were lucky enough to get a room here. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great! So appreciated, too, nothing else in town was open and the breakfast kept us going till we were well on our way.
My wife and I had a weekend getaway and had a excellent stay. The hotel was very clean which is huge factor in any hotel I stay at. The room was very spacious and included mini fridge, microwave and coffee station. The bed was comfortable and heating / ac worked great. The only downfall was the pool area is in need of updating but is usable with no issues. Breakfast in the lobby was very tasty. I...
This hotel is in a great location close to the highway with plenty of places to shop and lots of restaurants close by — even some you could walk together. With great staff and a hot tub and a heated pool — even a small gym you couldn’t ask for more in a place to spend a night. The personable staff from the check in to the to check to check make sure you’re stay is enjoyable.

Very comfortable and cozy room, clean, warm, and well-maintained. You can bring dogs with you (2 dogs per 1 suite). I highly recommend Motel 6 for people who want to save some money and travel with animals.
Clean, Quiet, VERY Pet Friendly and a great location! Stopped here for the night on our way further North, had a dog with us and asked the front desk if our dog was okay to stay here, and the lady said they usually keep people with pets on the first floor but there wasn't any rooms available on the first floor but they are pet friendly and put us in a freshly cleaned and sanitized room on the 2nd floor...
The woman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The air was a struggle, and room could have been a little cleaner. ( Hairs behind sink, webs behind toilet ). Room could use some updates, but overall, not a bad experience for a budget hotel.
It's a budget model. Value is decent. Staff are friendly. There was an older gentleman working evenings who I found especially attentive. Rooms are okay but my nose got really stuffy during my stay here and alleviated immediately after I finished my trip. The air quality has issues so I recommend they get air ducts cleaned and look into the air exchange system.
The girls working at the desk in this motel made our visit wonderful! they were courteous, smiling, and very friendly. The room was neat, and clean...and we had a room facing the back, it was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at this motel.
Super staff - friendly and helpful. Clean and free of critters (2nd floor, Feb 19/18) Pool is possibly the smallest hotel pool I have seen, but warm and clean. Breakfast was Timmy's muffins in the lobby, so we had to top up the kids down the street. Basic room, fairly small, but also neat, clean and in good repair. They do well at what they claim to do. Not fancy, but all we needed.

My fiance and I had a really good time with our stay here. The place is clean, charming and cozy. The location is in a quiet neighborhood and it's surrounded by nature. The room was affordable as well for what it offers. We...
Pam and Hondo are absolute sweethearts! The food was delicious and the stay was very comfortable. They have cute animals to make you feel even more at home! Highly recommend!!
Beautiful bed and breakfast, very secluded and quiet. Very clean and well kept. My husband and I had the queen room and it was lovely. The washroom was spotless! Breakfast was excellent : the owner is an excellent cook, very friendly and helpful in inspiring us what to do during our visit! The farm is a plus! This b&b is conveniently located about 5 minutes from Huntsville, definitely recommended!
Home away from home. Very nice bed & breakfast, well located close to Huntsville and Algonquin Park. Pam and her husband are very welcoming and made us one hell of a breakfast every morning. The living room with fireplace and huge collection of music is the perfect place to relax in the evening after a day of hiking in the park.
This is the most beautiful B&B I've stayed in. The hosts are fun and so helpful with information on the area. Pam is an amazing artist, I was in awe seeing her latest work of art on the go. They have great trails to hike right on the property and a pond to paddle or skate on in the winter. This location is also very close to Algonquin Provincial Park if you'd like to do excursions there. I highly...

Amazing customer services at the resort. We left behind my daughter's school notes just this past weekend. Angie at the reception checked the room right away and arranged courier to delivery the notes to our home. We are very grateful!
We visited for a wedding, and the staff were very nice, especially in the restaurant. The room was quiet and comfortable. You could tell this place is an older hotel, but it was clean. There is no elevator, so dragging luggage up and down the stairs was a bit tough. Be sure to specify if you need an accessible room on the 2nd floor (which is the ground floor). There is also a $30 amenities fee...
This is an amazing place for a great weekend with your family! Kids loved the swimming pool and hot tub! The view on the lake is just wonderful. “Mommy, this is the best breakfast we have ever had” I heard from happy kids :) I recommend Hidden Valley Resort for family time!
Truly beautiful location for all seasons, however, the resort itself is in need of updates/renovations. We have been here previously a few years back but it doesn’t seem like changes have been made yet. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Heads up that they do add on an amenity fee of $30 which is not included in the original total for the room. We didn’t get a chance to use the amenities...
I recently stayed at Hidden Valley Resort and I have to say, the atmosphere was truly beautiful. We really enjoyed our recent stay at hidden valley resort. The hotel itself is outdated for sure and can use some renovations/paint etc on the walls, ceilings etc. which is why I removed a star. I stay here every time I come to Huntsville for work and the staff are always friendly accommodating. The rooms and bedding are clean and comfortable. The grounds are kept shovelled and salted throughout the winter as well. Easy access to downtown and the hwy. 5x stars; will stay again.
We stayed at the Econolodge in Huntsville Ontario & was very impressed how clean & fresh smelling our room was. The staff was very hospitable & catered to all our need's that were met. The stay was excellent, the place was clean and well maintained. We booked last minute because our cottage in baysville became inaccessible due to the winter storm on the Christmas weekend, and we also had pets with us. Mr. Patel, who was managing the property, was very warm, welcoming and very very accommodating as a host. He went out of his way to help us with food and other necessities we required...
Room is a bit small, some carpet stains but the room was clean overall and didn't have any weird smells. It's close to the main road but traffic isn't too loud. Close to the westend fish and chips which is excellent.
Clean room and friendly staff. The parking lot could get a little tight. The place definitely needs new paint and carpets but for the price it’s really good.

Very good location, and wonderful lake view from my room! The staff are all friendly. Will come next time.
It was a great experience with the service and old-fashioned facilities of the room. However, they need to clean the room more properly. We found hair and dirt on the sinks and hair dryer.
Nice cosy and comfortable hotel with amazing views. Basic but fresh breakfast provided. Clean rooms and nice soft beds. Nearby the town center and also nearby good restaurants.
The was very quite and comfortable. The motel has best view of the lake. I and my family enjoyed our stay and breakfast in the morning was best. The staff and the desk was very helpful. I would recommend this motel to my friends and family.
Clean and simple rooms, but comfortable beds and a decent view from the rooms. Comes with a generic breakfast so don't get your hopes up, but it'll fill you up. I would like the inn to stop using Styrofoam plates and cups and switch to something recyclable.

What an amazing space! We booked the inn for a work retreat and had just under 30 people staying. It was fantastic, the inn is surprisingly large and no one felt like they were on top of one another. The kitchen is awesome, and everyone was in awe of the speed of the dishwasher. Rooms were fantastic and we especially loved that every room has it's own full washroom. The hosts are wonderful to communicate...
Was here for a family event where the host booked the entire In. Considering this is a historic building, and the oldest In around, it's in great shape. Showers could use some updating as currently it's a bathtub with a hand held shower head. No place to hang the darn thing. The view from the back patio was amazing, with ample parking in the front. Great place for big events.
We booked two nights at the Portage Inn in late September for our wedding. We hosted our small wedding (25 people) and most guests stayed at the Inn with us. We had a lovely ceremony overlooking the water, and our reception dinner was at one long table under a tent on their stone patio. Our guests were surprised at just how nice the Inn is! Breakfast was not included, which would have been nice, but that's OK The hotel is right in the middle of town so very convenient... The room was very clean and had the best bathtub I've ever used in a hotel.
Easy check in/out. Room was clean and ready upon our arrival, so we were able to check in early. Our kids called the hotel without our knowledge requesting a special delivery to our room, and the staff accommodated! The location was great, we would definitely recommend.
Clean, did I mention clean. Well kept older motel, very comfortable beds, rooms updated and very reasonably priced( visited in January), not sure about summer rates. So nice we stayed there twice before and after our backcountry camping in Algonquin! Great value, and most importantly clean!
I stayed here one night to avoid driving in inclement weather. The office staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean and recently renovated. Lots of parking is a bonus as well.
Great place well maintained and really clean. Warm and cozy with individual heater/ac in each room. Tiny fridge in the room and there is a microwave available for use on the upper floor. Great location very close to restaurants and stores. Very neat to the Lion's lookout which is a must see. Also convenient to drive down to Algonquin park from here. Perfect for anyone who wants to stay in a hotel...
It was good for the price. Under $100 for the night. Breakfast was toast and bagels. If yoy there after 9 pm you most likely would have call in to office to get a room. The room we stayed in had an old mini fridge which had a high pitch noise all night.

A decent motel. Very friendly staff and equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room. Clean and rooms are pretty big. They have BBQ (gas) outside, small area for kids to play and small patio just outside the room. overall it is a good deal.
A pretty friendly motel located just outside Arrowhead provincial park. Got this place for quite a deal at sixty dollars for the night. I would definitely drop the rating if you're paying regular price for the room. It's clean and comfortable though with an excellent shower to refresh with after a day of hiking. It was very basic, but for $60 it was fine. Check in was fine, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked. It was clean as far as I could tell, but had one area in the bathroom where the baseboards were rotten. It was fine for sleeping there one night in December.
A very pleasant motel just at the entrance to the Arrowhead Park. Clean and roomy. Very comfortable to stay.
We've stayed at the inn on several occasions. The rooms are spotless and the beds comfortable. The hosts have always been very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the location is ideal either for Arrowhead park, general sightseeing in the Huntsville area, or just to lay-over while travelling Highway 11.
Rooms are clean & spacious!! Staff is friendly & helpful!! Great location to stay when visiting Arrowhead Provinicial Park!! Best part is they are pet friendly!!
If you don't need anything fancy and you just need a one night stay somewhere, this is the place. It has your basic amenities: queen sized bed, cable TV, desk, microwave, mini fridge, and bathroom. Lovely hosts, they even gave me an upgraded cabin because there was not too much to do because of the weather so that i at least had a fireplace in my cabin.
The place was super clean, and the fireplace was nice on a cold night. A somewhat basic lodging but with all the important stuff: kettle, coffee maker, a surprisingly good sized mini-fridge, microwave, a fold-away table & chairs. A shared deck with a bbq is provided. Very clean rooms, wonderful view of the lake. We came in November but had some really nice weather. Was able to spend time outside and enjoy the view. We can as a couple and stayed ina little cabin Echo 15, view of Lake from living room and bedroom. Looks like this would be a great place for families especially in the summer.
The staff was very nice. The location is very good. Free water entertainment and nice coffee and comfortable beds! Good price, too. Beautiful trees, lake, and colorful hills. The only thing that was not very impressive was the cabins were old and needed a very good housekeeping. It smelled a bit weird when we were there. Hope they can fix it.

Always clean. Always friendly. A basic motel room but somehow it “fits” the area better than some ridiculous big box motel. We have stayed at the motel at least six times.
We were there this past weekend for a family gathering. Our host was friendly and very gracious when we checked in. We used the propane barbecues for a big dinner and breakfast for the dozen of us, and sat around the fire pit long into the evening. (The firewood and propane were both provided for free!)
