Lunenburg Arms Hotel
Lunenburg, 94 Pelham Street 🧭 Map
The location is excellent and the parking was greatly appreciated. The room was bigger than expected and very pleasantly appointed. I loved the big windows with the privacy shutters.
Nice hotel centrally located in Lunenburg, staff are pleasant and actually offer to service your room during your stay....unlike many other hotels. Our room had a good view of the harbour (305). Rooms are not large or fancy, and the bathrooms are small. There is currently no on-site restaurant, but plenty nearby. Free parking across the street.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here if you’re visiting Lunenburg. Hotel is located in a beautiful historic building and the rooms are a fair size. Parking is available on the street or in the lot across from the hotel.
The nicest hotel experience we have ever had, by far. Very clean room with comfy bed and high quality bedding. Tastefully set up. No funky odors. It was very quiet and we both slept great. Lovely staff too.
Clean hotel. Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Room is a bit small. Hard to have 2 suit cases open anywhere in the room. Really meant for 1 person I would think. Parking isn't managed very well at all. Staff doesn't record vehicles properly so the car blocking mine may or may not have been a client. Didn't do anything to locate them or move vehicle either way so it's really all just pretend on their...
Excellent experience!
The building is historical, but they have done a fantastic job to balance modern comforts!
Stayed in double double suite and had a comfortable living area and a good size bathroom.
The whole place was super clean.
Breakfast is not included, but they have a restaurant in premises - the original - and they make a wonderful breakfast, the staff was fantastic!

Smugglers Cove Inn
Lunenburg, 139 Montague st, NS 🧭 Map
Had a wonderful stay! Rooms are very nice and clean, close to the harbor and restaurants and Mike & Rita make it perfect!
Can't miss the breakfast with fresh croissants, fluffy eggs and fruit cup!
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the Smugglers Cove Inn this summer. We felt right at home in our comfortable room, with beautiful views of the town and harbour giving us a great sense of the area's rich historical significance. The Inn's decor is very charming, and the hospitality far surpassed expectations, with Michael the owner going above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible...
Our stay at Smugglers Cove Inn in Lunenburg was excellent—an absolute gem. The apartment we stayed in was very clean and spacious, with convenient access to a balcony and downstairs. The location is perfect, close to everything in town, making it easy to explore. The owners were very professional and kind, adding to the overall positive experience. This is truly one of the best places we’ve stayed...
Solo female traveller, felt very welcome and service was excellent. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, what a surprise! Wonderful sheets. Nice and COLD aircon, which is a priority for me. Great location, best in town and a very quiet night’s sleep. Large rooms. Free parking and parking was never an issue for me. Will be back!
This hotel is just one block up from the harbour, so prime location. This does mean parking can be quite awkward during the day.
The hotel doesn't have any parking. However between 17:00 and 08:00 Street parking is free and you can usually get quite close to the hotel.
The hotel itself does need some TLC, some areas seem unfinished.
The room was a good size and there is a lift.
Breakfast is on offer...
Great location. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The building is full of character and charm. Room was good, nothing fancy but very clean. Would definately come back.

Boscawen Inn
Lunenburg, 150 Cumberland Street 🧭 Map
Stayed here this weekend with 3 friends. First time to the region. They were very pleasant to work with and were extremely accommodating. I'd highly recommend this spot for a stay. I'd not hesitate to stay here again. Cheers, Chris
This was the highlight of our trip. Margaret and the staff were wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Sitting on the back deck, looking over the town and water with a glass of wine was exquisite. I would recommend this highly.
Beautiful, charming, historic property, with elegantly decorated sitting areas. We had a room with a turret that was lovely. And home-cooked breakfast was included. Great value! It's obvious the owners are passionate about their guests' experience.
Everything about this place is just lovely. Every area of the inn they have some item of interest and historical significance.
The rooms are very comfortable. The view is brilliant and sitting on the patio sipping wine is heavenly
Would go back to Boscawen again. Room was comfortable, staff were friendly, common areas were gorgeous. Breakfast included was much better than expected, ended up being delicious!
Inkeepers were as gracious as any hosts could be... Worked with us diligently as our plans changed at the beginning of our vacation! Great staff, great location and the delicious breakfast was a plus... Experienced different rooms throughout our stay and one was just as clean as the other ... Beautiful views!!
Already planning an extended stay for next year!!

The Mariner King Inn
Lunenburg, 15 King St 🧭 Map
Cozy historic inn and old decor, but newly renovated bathrooms. The common area felt a bit run down with dirty carpets, but the room itself was good. Very warm when we got in and there is at least one window overlooking the street. Our room has a creepy old portrait of a boy so we had to take the down before sleeping lest we wake up in the middle of the night and see him looking back at us. Front door...
Would HIGHLY recommend! The perfect place to enjoy a relaxing, pampering, and charming getaway. The top floor suite that we had was absolutely amazing. This historic building transports you to a romantic time that has been “updated” with today’s amenities and comforts. The wonderful and helpful staff is attentive to every detail and always there to greet you with a smile & positive words. Even with...
such a beautiful hotel. one of our party has mobility issues and our room and facilities were ideal. Walk-in shower, tall toilet, disabled parking and an elevator. To boot, the room was extremely comfortable and decked out with many thoughtful elements, more than many other hotels and inns. exceptional location. laundry, parlour, sunny conservatory for the breakfast which is included.
It was a unique experience to stay in a home from 1830! The service was excellent and included use of the sitting room, dining room, and patio. There were Swiss chocolates and snacks (fruit/coffee) available at all times for no charge. The room fridge had a loaded mini-bar with decent pricing as well. Awesome inn. It's for sale currently, so if you want to stay here do it while it's still possible
What a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Candy Apple in the Deluxe suite, and honestly couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful room, comfy beds, and perfectly located to enjoy all that Lunenburg has to offer. One of our favourite parts of the stay was our front desk host, who grew up in Lunenburg. She was super informative, great sense of humour, and made us feel right at home. Could not recommend this...
Stayed here for a night while cycling around Nova Scotia. We had room 206 in the Cranberry addition. Everything was great--loved the large shower and the air conditioning units. Took the elevator a couple times to see the murals. Breakfast was more self-serve than other places we stayed but that was fine with me. This Inn was my husband's favorite from our trip.

Ashlea House B&B
Lunenburg, 42 Falkland Street 🧭 Map
We enjoyed every moment in this beautiful house. Our hosts were very helpful and charming. The breakfast there is amazing. You certainly won’t need lunch :). Everything is a walking distance from the house. The rooms are nickel clean, quiet and comfortable.
Stayed 2 nights, beautiful house and close to uptown, easy walk to all restaurants and the Harbour. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable bed. Kim and Ed were great hosts and gave us lots of suggestions on where to eat and sights to see. Would definitely stay here again.
Where do I begin?! A stay at Ashlea House is an incredible experience. This heritage house is charming, with beautifully appointed common areas and bedrooms throughout as well as amazing outdoor seating spaces to enjoy the view (and the salt air!) of Lunenburg. Our bed was comfortable, and the luxurious linens made for a great night's sleep.
As if the beautiful surroundings weren't enough, there is...
We stayed at the Ashlea house for 2 nights and it well exceeded our expectations. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so incredibly comfortable. Kim and Ed were wonderful, they put on an excellent breakfast each morning and provided amazing recommendations for what to do in Lunenburg! The town was beautiful lots of cool things to do and great restaurants. Would highly recommend.
More than 5 stars! The house is so charming and the hosts, Kim & Ed, have made every effort to create a beautiful bed and breakfast. You can't beat the location either, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, galleries and the Bluenose. The rooms are spacious, beds are super comfortable and each has its own bathroom. The whole experience is topped off with the breakfast, everything is homemade...
Best experience we have had!!!! The hosts were amazingly welcoming, knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was absolutely the best I've ever had, 3 courses and healthy. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

Enjoyed location, quality of room, incredible view of harbor, and our host who was very friendly and helpful.
Our booking was made through a third party site, on arrival there was a slight mix up, but the owner Tim was on top of sorting it out and getting us squared away in the proper room. With unseasonably warm weather, we opted for a room with a balcony and were lucky to have an amazing view of the harbour. The hotel is centrally located, easy walk to so many restaurants and of course the Waterfront. Parking...
My parents decided to treat themselves to a much delayed honeymoon in Halifax and were so excited. They are also from the midwest and did not think to consider hurricanes as a possibility while in Halifax. Was surprised we were able to get a number of consecutive nights in July 2022 with only booking a couple of weeks in advance. The owner, Tim, was extremely helpful and took the time to share his knowledge of the area with us. His staff were equally attentive: one of them noticed the box of herbal tea I bought and the next morning there was a selection she left in our room! The beds were very comfortable and they even put an extra chair on our balcony for my mother. Just so focused on meeting our needs and making it the best...

Went here for my mother-in-law's 15 and 3/4 birthday dinner and if was a devine experience. Next year will be her sweet sixteen so we may go to the city, but if we stay in town we will likely return here.
Went for brunch today. I had the Eggs Benedict. I believe it is the best in the South Shore of Nova Scotia! And they have a great amount of the sauce on it. No need to ask for more like most places. I also love the decor of the restaurant, just beautiful and fresh. A very nice experience.
Our 2 night stay was fantastic. Mark managed to accommodate us with a cot for our daughter as the inn was fully booked. Charming atmosphere, warm and friendly service, fantastic patio full of flowers where we enjoyed a little wine before a delicious dinner. Avocado toast both mornings- best I’ve had! Rivalled by the brioche French toast,
so declared my daughter. Can’t wait to return!
The owner was very informative and friendly. Loved the room, very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the brunch that was included with the room was delicious. We enjoyed sitting on the patio which was filled with flowers, it felt private but you could also watch the world go by. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay there again!
The Bluenose Lodge hosted our small, intimate wedding ceremony dinner in October, and it was an absolute dream. Homeport Motel
Lunenburg, 167 Victoria Road 🧭 Map
The rooms were dated. We booked a room with a kitchenette expecting a stove but there was only a microwave and fridge. We thought we were paying extra for that feature.
On the positive side, it was close to town and across the road from Tims and next door to NSLC and a grocery store.
It was a very nice room and we all had our own beds.It provided everything needed. My only complaint would be when I arrived they told me my reservation was cancelled.I never cancelled and it was good they were able to ac omodate us.
Very clean motel approx 10-15 minute walk to historic Lunenburg town centre. Also dog friendly and large grounds to stroll around with dog.
Really great value.
The place looks like a 3 star motel but because of the functionality I upgrade to 4 stars. The rooms have a full kitchen with everything you need to cook your meals. The wifi is strong and fast. Parking is right beside your door. All the rooms are quite a distance from the road so very quiet and secure.
Excellent value! Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great sized rooms with plenty of amenities. The rooms are set well back from the road so it's a very peaceful setting. The owner is super nice too!

The property was very well maintained and clean, it had very good facilities for self-catering. We had a wonderful view from our property across the bay to the front and over the lake to the back.
We were grateful for the kindness and friendliness of the staff, especially Mary who we had a great laugh with. All the staff were very hardworking and helpful.
Fabulous location near to NS famous sites with stunning views of the Atlantic. Staff were friendly and cottage was squeaky clean.
The couple that own this property were lovely. :) Made us feel very welcome. The view was stunning 😍 and it has a private beach. Loved the colors of the motel and cottages. The area was so quiet and the beds super comfy so we had a great night's sleep! 😌 Nice that there is a big communal fire pit that you can use.
What a lovely stay at this cute motel. It's decorated nicely. Only stayed one night in the main motel. The couple who own the motel were great! The veiws were spectacular with a private beach. Fire pit was available for use.
Coffee maker and fridge in the room.
Location was a 5 min drive into Lunenburg or 30min walk.
This place is a great little motor inn! Marcus, at the front desk, was welcoming. The views from the room were incredible! There was a small coffee maker in the room with coffee and tea. I would definitely come back! One note though, the bathroom in room #7 was super small and might be uncomfortable for a tall person.
We love, love, love this place!!! We stayed in the Blue Heron cottage and found it to b very comfortable! Decorated beautifully and thoughtfully! The owners are lovely. View of ocean was an added bonus. Beach access was easy. Property has been lovingly restored and is well maintained. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Rooms are dated, however they are clean and comfortable. No restaurant on site or close. Walking distance to water, possible driving distance to down town. Parking downtown may be limited and is expensive.
Huge rooms (the one I was in), comfy bed, couch, lots of closet space, nice staff and beautiful view out back The only downfall is no AC and no staff overnight from approx. 10pm - 10am. Sound proofing could be better.
Room was clean and reasonably priced. Fluffy pillows and good temperature control. Would recommend if you just need a bed to sleep in.

Location was great! On the main Lunenburg strip. There was a small table to eat at as well as a desk to use for my laptop. Price was right.
We have stayed at this Inn twice. Check-in is through the restaurant, which is a bit bizarre, but was painless enough. Kind of weird that there isn’t any hotel staff on. Both times, we found the beds to be small and uncomfortable. This last time, the carpet was lumpy and a tripping hazard, and the curtains were ripped off the hooks so we couldn’t close the blinds properly. It can be a bit loud, but...
The room was comfortable and clean. I thought the skylights were a cool feature :) It was relatively quiet for the location, but remember that it's right in the middle of town, and above a bar/restaurant, so don't expect silence. Note that you have to check in at the bar downstairs.

We didn't stay here, just had dinner. The food was amazing - so fresh and delicious. Between the 5 of us, we had the seafood chowder, a mixed plate with lobster, salmon, haddock, and the best scallops I've ever had, a club sandwich, and the surf and turf. We also had a shrimp cocktail and deep-fried pickles. Everything was perfect. Service was also wonderful and the view of the harbour is lovely.
We had breakfast here and the food was okay. However, the service was fantastic. The waitress who served us was very attentive and responsive and that just made our day. Also, the chef showed us the live lobsters in the tank just beside the entrance. The friendliness of the staff was just amazing. Overall, the most enjoyable meal we had in Lunenburg.
Arrived after 630pm and seated ourselves outside on the patio overlooking wonderful view of the harbor. Had the fresh clamstrip dinner and was wonderful and fresh tasting. Great service and fast arrival of food. Cheers

Clean room with a nice view of the bay. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the walls aren't as soundproof as newer places (the building is older). It was quite easy to hear the TV or people talking in the adjacent rooms. Even with that, I would definitely stay there again.
