Due to the age of the building there’s no elevator so if you have mobility issues this may not be your stop and only take what you need for the night if your bags are cumbersome. Otherwise, it’s a very clean, unique little Inn focused on preserving the feel of its age while providing modern amenities like internet. This stay was simply a stop over on our way from Charlottetown to Louisburg. We had originally booked the Customs House, but were told they'd overbooked, so the Scotsman Inn was our second choice. It was an interesting old building and the room was very nicely decorated. So many steps to get to it though! The building may not allow for an elevator, but perhaps they could hire a student and pay them...

We had the best sleep of our whole 2 week vacation! The king sized bed had a memory foam on top of the mattress, the pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were so soft. The continental breakfast was a bit on the formal side, and we sat with others at two large tables. The only thing that would make this better is not having to lug out luggage up two flights of stairs.

Sandy and Cathy were wonderful hosts. The Inn is well kept. There is a lovely deck and garden in which to sit and enjoy a beverage. There are numerous stairs as it is a historic building so if you have mobility issues it will be a challenge to a stay here. The bed in our room was exceptional. The shower was small but had great water pressure. You can see the effort they put in to the up keep. Overall...
