Amazing! It started with a friendly greeting, then we were shown to our room which was in a new addition. The room looked like it came out of a magazine, with a lovely beachy theme. The proprietor is super friendly and knowledgeable about the area's events. The included breakfast is fresh and fantastic. This is our second time staying at the Evening Sail. I recommend it.

We come to the Pictou area for jiu jitsu competitions and stay here every time. Really helpful staff, Shelby always remembers us and takes care of us. The bathtubs are nice and deep for cutting weight FYI!

We stayed two nights at Dolan's Inn, the room was clean, bright and newly renovated. Loved having an on-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. It was a relaxing stay, great hospitality and terrific breakfast food. Location is perfect for checking out the market, and for any EV car owners, there is a level two charging station at the public library, a 10 min walk away. Would definitely stay again.

Cheap but you get what you pay for. Nothing extravagant, nice homely place to just sleep and wake up and get going.

We stayed one night at the motel. It has clearly been renovated recently, as our room was very clean and bright. It was nicely painted with modern fixtures, and had bedspreads that were clean, comfortable and pretty! Very good quality for the price. The only criticism is that there was no place to hang clothes. No closet or hooks. Overall, great stay!

This resort is beautiful. My family and I had an extended stay while we were waiting for our house to close. The views were great, and lots of entertainment for the family. During our stay hurricane irene swept through. We were received with multiple updates from the staff. When the power was out for an extended time at no fault to the resort, they provided options to accommodate us. Kate was amazing...

Recently visited Pictou Lodge for supper and it was wonderful! The view is spectacular, the staff is wonderful, and their menu has excellent gluten-free and vegetarian items to pick from. We'll definitely be back!

Great rooms and service. Restaurant offers good meal options but is pretty expensive. It's a great location and there is plenty to do there (pool, beach, basketball net, playground, kayaks and canoes, bikes..). But our room did not get cleaned while we were here, disappointing...

Was here for a wedding. Incredible place. The scenery is great, the rooms were rustic and spacious. The food was delicious as well.

It's not far from downtown, yet it's still it own place. Walking into the property is like walking into my own home. The host is a wonderful person and very accommodating. It has a lot of history for those who are interested. Rooms are spacious and a mix of old style with up to date amenities. Breakfast had verity and very healthy.

The photos make it look amazing but we weren't impressed. No lift to rooms which is awful when you have luggage. Breakfast was very basic and very little interaction with the owner. Would not stay again. So much better places than this

Very lovely stay at Braeside inn which has hundred years of history. Lots of interesting history and facts with this inn, the room is a little dated given the history but clean and feels like home. It’s a old house but very well maintained. The host Linda is very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and bed is comfortable too. Great location in Picton, walking distance to waterfront. I spent a week in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, a new hotel every night. By far this was my favorite stay, in fact I wish I had been able to stay longer. The most gracious host, beautiful historical building. Not only do I plan on visiting again for longer but I tell everyone about this Inn. And please read the owners book, wonderful story.

Room was clean but quite small and lacked extra plugs for electronic devices. View of the water from the room was very nice. Location was a few minutes walk to restaurants and pier area. Inn is old but well preserved and clean. Breakfast was included in room price and was very tasty. Owners work very hard to insure that you have a good stay.

Came to the town for the mma fights. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was super friendly. Very welcoming environment.

Wow! We had trouble finding a place to stay late in the evening, and the owner had closed up for the night. 30 minutes later they call us back to see if we have found a place to stay, then offer us a room as they had to go back to the office. For the price, we didn’t expect such a large and comfortable room. The beds were super comfy and the room was immaculately clean. Very impressed, thank you!

Due to the age of the building there’s no elevator so if you have mobility issues this may not be your stop and only take what you need for the night if your bags are cumbersome. Otherwise, it’s a very clean, unique little Inn focused on preserving the feel of its age while providing modern amenities like internet. This stay was simply a stop over on our way from Charlottetown to Louisburg. We had originally booked the Customs House, but were told they'd overbooked, so the Scotsman Inn was our second choice. It was an interesting old building and the room was very nicely decorated. So many steps to get to it though! The building may not allow for an elevator, but perhaps they could hire a student and pay them...

We had the best sleep of our whole 2 week vacation! The king sized bed had a memory foam on top of the mattress, the pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were so soft. The continental breakfast was a bit on the formal side, and we sat with others at two large tables. The only thing that would make this better is not having to lug out luggage up two flights of stairs.

Sandy and Cathy were wonderful hosts. The Inn is well kept. There is a lovely deck and garden in which to sit and enjoy a beverage. We chose the Willow House Inn as a pit stop on our way to Cape Breton Island. We didn’t expect it to be one of the BEST stays of our two week trip! In all our travels over the years, Willow House ranks one of our two best EVER BnB stays. First, we had no idea how adorable Pictou is! There are so many historical and well loved houses, the Trans-Canadian hiking trail passes through town, and the waterfront is quite nice. We arrived before check in but had no problem leaving our car and taking a walk round the town - it was only about a 5 minute walk to the shore and various restaurants. We had a delightful stay at the Puffin! Our hostess was attentive and kind. She truly cared if we were having a good time in Pictou. Her house is a charming, historic treasure, full of old photos and antiques. The breakfasts are varied and healthy, generous and delicious. She happily gave directions, made good suggestions for site seeing and eating out. Will I stay there again next time? You bet.

An award winning, historic 161 year old Bed and Breakfast nestled on the seaside in the quaint Town of Pictou. The breakfasts are amazing.

Very good that we came upon this place because our ferry ride got cancelled. They had a cabin left and it's such a cute place! The heating may be lopsided, where it doesn't go into one of the rooms. But the cabin was still cozy! Had what we needed, including a stove, fridge, microwave, utensils. The appearance was a sweet country cabin, made of lovely wood! Some decorations to make it feel homey...

Other than the price and location, this place is very, very basic. Old room without AC, outdated decor, cracks in the wall and no water pressure in the shower. I'm talking about the cottages in the back where we stayed; maybe the rooms in the front are better. Anyhow, super cheap and you get what you pay for. It's a roof over your head to spend the night and head to PEI via the ferry.

Good place to stay for the night. Motel is easy to locate from the road and conveniently located near the ferry. The room was as expected. Checking in was odd, but easy. I arrived later than the regular check in time and on the website, it indicated I would receive an email with instructions. I did not. I called the phone number on my confirmation email and the front desk person answered. From there...

Stayed at the Lionstone Inn on Saturday September 2 2017. The room we stayed in was excellent, very clean good Internet service and the owners keep everything looking great. The customer service was excellent everyone was so pleasant and helpful, would recommend this place to everyone..
