Breakfast was delicious, but would have really appreciated gluten free bread to have toast. Our waitress at dinner was terrific.
The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated with local indigenous young artists work. We had dinner in the pub and it was amazing! I had the Diablo Prawn Capellini and it rivaled a fantastic meal I had in Napa Valley a couple of years ago. If you are coming to Pirt Hardy I recommend this hotel and pub/restaurant.
This is the hotel to stay at in PH. Clean, modern, quiet nicely decorated rooms. Absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff are friendly and attentive. The pub/ restaurant has good quality innovative food. Plus the hotel is within walking distance of everything in PH.
Fantastic property: beautiful decor, extremely clean, and well-maintained - in both the common areas and the guest rooms. A quality hot breakfast in the pub/lounge is complimentary. All of the staff, from desk to food servers and room keepers, are all very nice and helpful. Even the gift shop is cute. The location is walkable to a center for groceries and other provisions, a little further to the town...
Breakfast was good Sausages were very nice flavour There were beans and egg “cakes” potato chunks Also cereals, porridge packs, yogurt, and bread, buns and bagels to toast, packaged waffles. Juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate Enough for everyone We had a late dinner in pub, we shared nachos which were good. We had a great server, Darren from Dublin and also talked to Mac who is from Port Hardy...
The friendly and helpful staff make this hotel a very great place to stay, seriously probably one of the best customer service experiences I have had. The breakfast is great, the bar has great food and live music. The rooms are modern and very nice and clean. Obviously newly renovated with nice attention to detail. Walkable to downtown no problem.

Breakfast was tasty and a good size. Our waitress was very friendly and handled a busy morning with a 😀. Also a great view.
Check in and checkout were great. The room was in good repair. The bed was very comfortable and the fridge kept my food cold. Beautiful view & I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Amazing view. Clean reasonable rooms and friendly staff. I will stay here again and recommend for a business or recreational travel guest.
Rooms are very clean. Didn’t get to eat at the restaurant due to short staffing but Karen (night shift at front desk) made up for that. Very friendly and made our check in the best.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and have balconies with a great view. Attached restaurant was busy and althoughshort staffed the waitress was so good! Had the salmon for dinner and everything was fresh and hot. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel, rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and approachable! Went to the attached restaurant for dinner and the food was great and although short staffed the waitress was amazing and brought us anything we needed ! Would recommend.

Quarterdeck Inn Port Hardy

Probably wouldn't return if I had the choice. Dreadful beds - like cement blocks. Very dated and badly planned rooms. Staff look like they don't like their jobs and are bored. No ideas on sightseeing or dining options. Mediocre at best.
The best part of staying at the quarter deck inn is the amazing free breakfast. Every morning you get a free full breakfast at the pub in the hotel and it is fantastic. Complementary coffee and amazing customer service is what makes this inn a great place to stay. Some improvements and the reason why I couldn't rate it a 5 was due to the room quality. The rooms are dimly lit and can get cold in the...
Great location for experiencing the north island life and scenery. Good amenities, really enjoyed my stay

The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds. Each room over looks the Bay. Ours had a charming balcony with deck chairs. We will stay here our next trip to Port Hardy.
A quite, friendly hotel overlooking the beautiful Port Hardy harbour. If you have a chance to wake up at sunrise the view is spectacular!!
Overall a decent hotel, not the most updated but still nice. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. The windows are single pane, and you can hear the sounds of Port Hardy at night. Internet is fast.
So far my experience has been great here, nice and clean, the beds are nice and comfy, the recreation area is simple and has coffee. Over all a very pleasing and affordable with a nice ocean view. You also get a play ground out back for the kids.

Unlike a post 4 months ago which seemed to at first "like" the hotel and then went on to criticize I thought this venue was lovely. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The view great, the coffee hot, the large room clean and the bed comfy. I've done a lot of travelling all over the world and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want a full breakfast then...

Alonso is an awesome host excellent location clean comfortable and breakfast is everything you could want and more
Stayed in Summer of 2017 and I still think back fondly to the delicious breakfast and lovely rooms at Escape B&B! Would highly recommend.
Awesomene B&B! Very well equipped and spacious! The hosts are amazing and make sure your stay Is comfortable. Would stay again in a heartbeat, can't rave enough!
An extremely well furnished and roomy B&B. Alfonzo and his wife are wonderful hosts and do everything to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed for five nights last week and it was a perfect base of operations for our San Josef Bay Tour and Tide Rip Grizzly tours, as well as the various local hiking trails. The wireless is excellent (5G and 2.5G both available) and there is cell coverage in the area...
Fabulous, Alfons and Jane are super hosts. Escape B&B has spacious, well appointed rooms. Ours (#3) had a king bed, private entrance and a very nice en-suite with rain-shower. The common area is spacious and inviting. Breakfast was exceptional, offering lots of choice and a host prepared to meet dietary requirements and special requests. The flat screen TV and High-speed Internet were just a bonus

Great location, and the cleaning staff are super friendly. Our room was really musty and very outdated (peeling paint, mildew around the sink and toilet, stained sheets and blankets in the bedroom), which was a bit disappointing as we had to stay there for 8 days while we waited to move into our new home. We enjoyed the nearby trails, but likely wouldn't stay here again based on the condition of the...
If you have ever wanted to stay in the motel from schitt's creek, this is it. It was old, and needs updating, but we honestly had a pleasant stay. It's a five minute drive down the road from Port Hardy, and easy to find. Dog friendly.
Appears to be an older motel in the process of updating their rooms. Our room looks to be recently updated with new bathroom and fresh paint. Mattress was firm and area is quiet. Located just a few minutes drive outside of Port Hardy. Room was clean.
Motel is in need of some updating but had everything we needed for out stay. Nice home base for our visit to San Josef Bay and other surrounding attractions. Owners were very nice, check in was easy. Our only complaint is that we found to beds very hard (we prefer a softer bed). Room included fridge, microwave, and dishes. Coin laundry available if needed, ice for sale. Lots of parking, overall pretty...
It's alright for the price. The staff are great but the rooms are a bit run down. Clean but certainly not fancy.
It is old building but it is clean also isolated from trafic noise if you need good sleep go for it

It was very clean, well equipped with cooking facilities. Amenities and a cozy atmosphere. A little self in the bathroom on top of the sink would be handy. Thank you for having us!
Been staying in the cabins for over a year - every time I'm back at work. It is by far my first choice when staying in Port Hardy. My cabin is always clean, warm and inviting when I arrive. Each cabin comes equipped with it's own wi-fi and tv. Tracy and Pam are so accommodating! They have gone out of their way to ensure I enjoy my stay...every single time!! I love that they have good beds,...
We visited San Josef Bay in early October and this was the closest dog-friendly place we could find in Port Hardy. The cabins are small but clean and well equiped. A few more hooks for hanging items and a couple more electrical outlets for charging devices would have been helpful. The service was outstanding and the location is perfect; close to town but not too close. Easy access on and off the...
No privacy at all and right on the highway. Rv sites are very close together as well as the cabins. It seems they may do long term rentals? The truck next to us was overflowing with trash which did not smell well. Only stayed because we got off the ferry very late. There's pull outs along the road that would have worked just fine...
Not sure how this is a "resort". Right next to the highway it is a row of little cabins and a small field with gravel and grass with trees only on the perimeter. RVs packed in no privacy at all. The $48 a night with tax is only worth it if you are getting off the ferry at midnight and need full hook-up. Backs up to a creek and wetlands area, so no paddling out of here. Will give the night clerk kudos...
Very clean cabins with small but welcome kitchenette facilities (no stove but hotplate). Staff were super helpful and all the amenities including wifi worked perfectly. Lovely location at the estuary beside Port Hardy.

When we pulled up we thought the place was closed. Needs alot of TLC but the room was a surprise. Clean and large. A view from the balcony. Bar fridge and coffee maker. No restaurant. The front desk lady was very nice.
Great view of Port Hardy's harbour, I think most or all units have a balcony with water views. Pets allowed! Very friendly and helpful front desk, A nice lady was able to give me a map of the area and find a restaurant that was still open for me (my phone was dead). It's an older building, but very clean and comfortable. All the same amenities you get at a place that costs more: microwave, mini fridge...
It's a bit rough looking, but we actually had a great stay with our two dogs. The room was clean with a flat screen TV and a decent mini fridge, beds were pretty comfortable, but the view was what made our stay totally worth it. It was an especially wonderful place to stay during FiLoMi days! Would stay here again! Hopefully they can get the bar in the lower part of the hotel fired up soon!

Low season so had the place to ourselves. Ann was very friendly and a great ambassador for the area! Would stay here anytime!
My son & I stayed 3 nights in this hostel .I wasn't informed of stairs & had alot of luggage accumulated fr my shopping spree.Grateful ,for my son's help.I was later informed that I could have left heavy boxes in office until I checked out.Not recommended if you can't climb on bunk beds.other than that it was quite & well maintained. I especially liked being able to cook y own meals & clean up my own...
Absolutely lovely hostel staff who were very welcoming and helpful, make sure you tell them when you arrive otherwise you might find they are out of the office itself. The hostel itself is not the best, we stayed in a private room that needed a bit of modernisation and love (throughout the whole hostel to be fair). It was clean and relatively quiet. Overall perfect for an overnight stop before the...
Wife and two teenage daughters. This place might not look like it from outside but it’s awesome!! Super clean rooms. Bathrooms are immaculate. Instead of being in standard hotel room I played table tennis is huge great room with kids. If they were younger it would be better!! Great place
The best hostel i've stayed at. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - they went as far as letting us wash and air dray our dirty hiking gear, boots, and tents in the shop
Clean place, nice shared kitchen/living room/sun room. Wasn't too busy so we only shared it with one other couple. Super friendly staff!
