This is one of the best accommodations I've stayed at. Spacious and clean room, amazing private beach views, and friendly staff. I spent the morning walking on the beach and listened to the ocean wave in the backyard, where a couple of black rabbits leisurely hopped by. Strongly recommend.

A great place to relax and enjoy a walk on the beach that is right out your front door. Staff is amazing ... so friendly & helpful. No better way to enjoy the Salish Sea and all it has to offer.

I love this resort. This was our second stay here, and we will be back again. Right on the beach. Has its own private beach area. Full kitchen. Friendly staff. Great location. Rooms are large and very comfortable with all the amenities you need.

We arrived as a family of 4. Room had a full kitchen. Unobstructed view of the Ocean. Loft Queen size with a Murphy and sofa pull out bed. Staff was super friendly and remembered our name. We could stay there for a month. Short drive to shopping. Quick walk to a pub and restaurant across the road. Stayed there before as a couple on the ground floor. Patio right out to the beach.

New management starting mid-marçh. Yay! Prior to this I would have given a 2 rating. I am hopeful that new management will be helpful, respondent and polite.

Rooms are fantastic, super awesome clean and well equipped. Service crew are amazing, friendly and very prompt. And location is great just minutes and seconds to the beach!! Superb !! I Absolutely recommended!!

I stayed at the Ocean Crest Motel during a work trip and it was one of the cleanest accommodations I have ever stayed: spotless. The motel is a quiet spot that is not expensive. The staff is polite and efficient. The decor may be a tad old school but our room was clean and comfortable. It is only 2 minutes of walking from the beach. We found a reasonably dark parking lot only 30 seconds of driving from the motel to enjoy a bit of casual stargazing.

A beautiful smaller hotel right on the ocean in Parksville! We had a room on the ocean, beautiful views and so light and bright with comfortable beds. Everything was clean and fresh. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Gregory at the front desk. My only regret was that we only booked one night.

Perfect spot for our ladies' getaway. Really appreciated the big coffee mugs (hate paper cups and plastic is even worse.) And the real wine glasses too. The staff were very friendly, We had an ocean view room that was amazing and loved waking up to the sound of the waves. The room was very clean and it was nice to see real coffee mugs and wine glasses instead of plastic. We had an excellent supper at their restaurant (scallop and prawn pasta and a short rib rigatoni. Both were very tasty and cooked perfectly.

This is a beautiful hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in Gregory noticed a couple errors that the booking agent made and rectified them right away. As I entered for the first time I was struck by the open and airy feeling. I was heading in to have lunch with some family. We sat out on the patio area and the view of the beach was wonderful. Easy access off main road. Safe &Family friendly. Pets allowed. No credit card needed only cash dep in lieu..(which we really appreciated). Close to main shopping centers and attractions. Staff very personable and accommodating to our requests. Nice rooms with kitchenette. Very comfortable and affordable. We stayed for three nights and would definitely return.

For the money it is hard to beat this location, the cleanliness of the place, but most of all the hospitality. The front desk manager took care of all our needs and requests, and did so with a smile. For the price, this place was actually pretty decent! Nice location with a short walk to the beach. Beds were decent. And even anbasic breakfast included. If you are looking for an affordable place, this place is great!

No pool, vending machines inoperative jacuzzis in the room don't work. Restaurant closed on good Friday. Room was nice, TV in a weird spot. Quiet and friendly front desk. Their advertisement needs serious update.

This is a beautiful historic hotel with fine dining and an incredible atmosphere. The staff is excellent and friendly. I will be back as often as I can. I will recommend this hotel to everyone in the US looking for a great Vacation experience.

Beware: this place is totally HAUNTED but an incredible place to stay. The whiskey bar is super chill and the leather coach in there is sooo comfortable. I felt really connected to spirits here especially my Dad Warren Bradbury and ex who committed suicide. Great place to stay and I look forward to coming back for the scotch festival 😀

The reviews about the Grand are true; this is a hidden gem that you never considered or forget to consider. I cannot comment on the food since we only visited the lounge but the lounge and dinning area have character. The lounge is very comfortable and has an excellent selection of beverages. It is now at the top of my list of must try dining. I hope my future dining experience will be equally rewarding...

the lobby is absolutely beautiful ..spotlessly clean and everything was shiny and dust free. I would of liked to have been able to spend more time there

Bev and Sandy are wonderful and they accommodated my family so we could all be together for Christmas. They rearranged furniture so there was room for the kids and the dog and made sure we had everything we needed. It has a private entrance, parking right in front for easy access and a lovely outdoor area. I recommend Bev & Sandy's Place!

I'm staying here as I'm posting this review,felt it was right to give credit where it was due. This place is a nice affordable hidden gem. Came here for work but got the relaxation I needed and will hopefully bring the wife back here next time. The complimentary breakfast was well thought out and appreciate it a lot, felt like my mom was looking after me. ☺️Thanks so much again!

The location is easy to find and the owner was very friendly. Our only problem was the heat was turned off on our arrival and it took a long time to warm up our room.

The suite was spacious and really clean. The view was spectacular. It was also very quiet. We were happy with everything.

Great view and location. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast is $10 but well worth it. I payed for 2 nights, but could only stay 1. The hosts offered to refund the difference, but I just asked to give me a credit since I plan on coming back one day.

Solid 3 because of the view… otherwise the place is nothing special and a bit awkward for the layout. Nothing spectacular about the hosts and this is NOT and a traditional B&B. There’s no breakfast. It’s just average and again the B&B is somewhat of scammy for the lack of breakfast.

We spent one night in this beautiful homestay. It was one of the best stay i have experienced with my lovely family. It doesn't look fancy or luxurious but the view is marvelous. I am so loved and so blessed.

Nice place with a beautiful view. A few things you have to maintain, you have to come back here within 10 pm and no noise after 10 pm and breakfast is not included. But, one thing that is granted is to get a beautiful view. This picture is from the window in which room we stay.

The roomy, beautifully decorated room and ensuite plus the spectacular view makes this B&B a treat fit for royalty! I found the continental breakfast more than adequate and appreciated that the lovely proprietress catered to my need for gluten free.

Stayed at the Stephenson for my anniversary and was incredibly happy with how amazing my time there was. Cher is a wonderful, gracious host with an amazing B and B. The Eagle's Nest room has a luxurious set up with a large, cozy bed and a deep soaker tub in the bathroom. If you're a bath lover, you will be in heaven! The view from the room's balcony is breath taking. This is a wonderful weekend getaway!

This motel is a bit outdated, but clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room is at the back, wich is more quit than the front. The ferry to Departure Bay is a few minutes away, wich is very nice. You can park your car in front of your room. I would stay here again next time!

Considering it’s a small motel, the rooms are clean and great for a temporary stay, at least from my one week experience. The owners were very kind and accommodating. The place is old but at least it’s clean. I would go back there again for sure if I needed a place to stay in the area.

For a motel in Nanaimo bc, I'll giver 5 star, it's a motel what u expect, it's clean, owner is friendly, we checked in at 2.30 am due to late ferry and he welcomed us, definitely one of the cleaner motels on the island.....no complaints

I stayed here for a week while waiting for my rental suite to become available. It's older but suited me perfectly. The staff were super friendly too. It's hard to find anything negative to say when you pay $85 for a room with a kitchenette and included breakfast. Would highly recommend!

This place used to be my stomping grounds so to say as I lived here all my life. The Cambie is ok for myself to sit and relax during the day hours. The nights usually seem geared for the younger generation and it should be. I stood in there one night a year ago in 2019 with the loudest music i ever heard in this place. The rooms left me wishing more, so simple but whatever just slept one night there, also the music is bumpin hard (it was metal karaoke night) but good thing is that it finished at midnight on dot. The bar is cool tho and the bathrooms are trippy. Nice treatment by the staff too.

Looked in with my wife for a couple of beers during the afternoon having read reviews. It was dark and very much a 'dive' and she wasn't too impressed to start with. Great choice of beers, good music through the speakers, what's not to like? By the time we left she loved it.

This place was awesome! Huge, lots of things to do, a stage, and friendly bartenders. We went on Thursday evening and the girls behind the bar were awesome. Cool art in the bathrooms, if that matters to you. TONS of different types of beer. Might come to the island again just so we can go back!

We didn't feel well but wenn didn't feel unwell. It is an old Hostel and you can see that but you can arrange with it.

Attended a meeting in one of the conference rooms. I've stayed here before and it's lovely. Great rooms and great food in the restaurant.

A little Spartan and some odd resident behavior, but affordable and easy access to the highway. I got a last-minute reservation here and the office staff was very friendly. There are laundry services and detergent on-site; the machines take loonies.
