Shorewater Resort1 / 25
Qualicum, 3295 Island Highway West 🧭 Map
This is one of the best accommodations I've stayed at. Spacious and clean room, amazing private beach views, and friendly staff. I spent the morning walking on the beach and listened to the ocean wave in the backyard, where a couple of black rabbits leisurely hopped by. Strongly recommend.
A great place to relax and enjoy a walk on the beach that is right out your front door. Staff is amazing ... so friendly & helpful. No better way to enjoy the Salish Sea and all it has to offer.
I love this resort. This was our second stay here, and we will be back again. Right on the beach. Has its own private beach area. Full kitchen. Friendly staff. Great location. Rooms are large and very comfortable with all the amenities you need.
We love The Shorewater!❤️ A beautiful place to stay. This was our second time and we've already booked for next year. The views are spectacular. Watching the seals play, get visit from deer and delightful bunnies of various colours. Glorious walk along the beach when the tide is out and so many delightful little spots to stop and get a bevie and a bite. Staff at the Shorewater were exemplary, Janet...
Very clean, comfortable accommodation. We will book here again.
We arrived as a family of 4. Room had a full kitchen. Unobstructed view of the Ocean. Loft Queen size with a Murphy and sofa pull out bed. Staff was super friendly and remembered our name. We could stay there for a month. Short drive to shopping. Quick walk to a pub and restaurant across the road. Stayed there before as a couple on the ground floor. Patio right out to the beach.

Nice hotel , only downside was indoor pool and spa were under renovation which we were not notified of beforehand, one of the main reasons for booking
A beautiful smaller hotel right on the ocean in Parksville! We had a room on the ocean, beautiful views and so light and bright with comfortable beds. Everything was clean and fresh. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Gregory at the front desk. My only regret was that we only booked one night.
Perfect spot for our ladies' getaway. Really appreciated the big coffee mugs (hate paper cups and plastic is even worse.) And the real wine glasses too. It's the little details that make a big difference. Beds were very comfy. The Nespresso decaf coffee is the best I've ever had. The front desk staff were so friendly and nice. The restaurant for dinner was excellent. Overall, extremely good...
This was my first time ever staying here and I was very impressed. I will definitely be coming back to the Bayside Resort in the future. The staff from the moment I walked in the door were amazing. They were super polite and very helpful and very informative for all my questions and needs. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I came there for a relaxing weekend and got just that...
The staff were very friendly, We had an ocean view room that was amazing and loved waking up to the sound of the waves. The room was very clean and it was nice to see real coffee mugs and wine glasses instead of plastic. We had an excellent supper at their restaurant (scallop and prawn pasta and a short rib rigatoni. Both were very tasty and cooked perfectly.
This is a beautiful hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in Gregory noticed a couple errors that the booking agent made and rectified them right away. We ended up with a much cheaper rate and an oceanfront room at no extra charge. Gregory even called the room once we were settled to make sure that we had everything we needed! The room was beautiful, the views spectacular, if...

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was close to where we were working in the area.
We very much enjoyed our annual stay at The Grand. Excellent, friendly service. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious as always although the Mother’s Day brunch could have been organized a bit better. We were surprised not to have a balcony in our Deluxe room this time. We’ll have to be sure to request it next year.
We enjoyed our night , it’s a bit noisy from the road near by, but it was nice to have a balcony and everyone we encountered was friendly
Large rooms with gas fireplace. Clean with good beds. Air conditioner is limited to how low the cooling setting is allowed, which was not as low as we would like for sleeping! If you like a warm room, this is a good spot for you!
We have stayed here 3 times & have always enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is very nice, the food is incredible & Hussein is an amazing server.
The room is badly in need of renovations because the very old carpeted floor is uneven and bumpy. There is a smell in the room where I had to open the window to air. The bathtub hot water is just barely warm. A report to the receptionist on my 3rd evening.. who suggested I change my room. When I checked on the first day, the reception offered a room upgrade which I rejected after I went to the room...

We used this as a one night stop over before catching an early morning ferry. The room was rather outdated but clean and comfortable which is all we needed. 3 mins to the ferry terminal so no need to add extra travel time for city traffic. Easy to get into the city from. As others have said friendly welcome and helpful staff at reception . Not sure I’d stay more than 2 nights here but if you are just...
An absolute diamond in the rough, Departure bay is in between renovating but without the construction. The customer service from the front desk was a testament to Canadian hospitality and due to arriving early we were offered our choice of the rooms with guided tour before selecting. Room 19 had been freshly renovated, a nice clean room with a modern en-suite, smart TV, mini fridge, coffee and a...
We thought the staff nice and helpful. The room was very dated, but clean. The bed was not very comfy and we could smell cigarette smoke from other rooms.
Clean and close to lot of interesting places! Liked the price and the people working there!
Business When I come into town for work, Departure Bay is always one of the hotels that I check for availability. The staff is always friendly, professional and well informed about the area.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The room could use a little updating. Overall my daughter and i thought it was a decent place
