Comfort Inn Chicoutimi

This Comfort Inn offered clean rooms, hot water for showers and a convenient location. The breakfast room was very hot due to the waffle maker and toaster being used. The kitchen lady was very pleasant.

During our visit on a Saturday in December 2024, the room was fine, but the toilet paper roll was empty when we arrived and there were enough towels for 3 people even though there were 4 of us. Fortunately, the receptionist was very kind and quickly supplied us with what was missing. However, it was the breakfast that greatly disappointed us. While it is stated on the website that a full breakfast is included, this was not the case. The coffee machine wasn't working, there were no scrambled eggs and bacon in the breakfast buffet, the bananas were overripe (ready for banana bread), no waffle mix for the waffle iron, and the milk for the cereal was several days out of date :( So the only option left was to make toast. I understand that it may not be peak season, but when it says "full breakfast" on the website with supporting photos, that's what you'd expect.

I like this hotel. It was expensive for a night than I expected. But the location was very good.

Bathroom not very clean, hairs on the floor and I had to clean the sink faucet which was dirty, toothpaste or something else.

At the time of year I stayed there, August, I found the tariff too High for what the accommodation offers. $233/ night taxes included.However, the place is clean & the staff was friendly .The room was on the small side but you had a fridge, microwave & large TV. The parking was free and so was the breakfast. Breakfast was more than adequate. I Rate this hotel as a 7.5 and an under $200/night tax included rental.

I stayed in many Comfort Inn but this it’s the first time I am staying at this location. I loved my room, it was located on the ground floor, easy access to my car that is located not far from the door. The bed was extremely comfortable plus with a micro-wave, it’s a blessing to be in the hotel. Nevertheless, firstly, I notice that my bed sheet was a little crimped which means that someone slept there the night before and the bed sheet were not changed. That’s okay, as long as the bed sheet was clean. 😁 Lastly, I was hearing the guy snore who was sleeping next to me. I couldn’t sleep properly because of that. I hope maybe in the future the demising walls for each room can be insulated. However, thank you comfort inn for having me stay by your hotel and for welcoming me with a smile. I would love to stay at your hotel again. Hope to see you soon.

On our way back from Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve to Quebec City, Sequenay what's the logical place to stay overnight to maximize our time in Quebec City the next day. Hence, we picked this economical hotel.

It met all of our expectations for one night stay for the purpose of a layover. For those of you who may have some difficulty with stairs, do you know that there is no elevator at this facility. You can likely request for a first floor room if you think you might run into difficulties with getting a luggage up the staircase.

As you can see from the pictures, the rooms were relatively clean. There are some obvious signs of wear and tear, like The ripping of the sides of the chair at the work desk. Also, your sleep will likely be disturbed because of other travelers looking up at fairly early hours in the morning and banging the doors.
