Delta Hotels by Marriott St. John's Conference Centre

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Delta in St. John's, Newfoundland, and I must say, despite a few outdated elements, the experience was truly delightful.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who ensured my check-in process was seamless. The lobby exuded an elegant charm, though I couldn't help but notice that the overall style of the rooms seemed a bit outdated. However, I soon realized that this minor drawback was overshadowed by the exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Upon entering my room, I was greeted by a spotless environment that made me feel instantly comfortable and at ease. The housekeeping staff should be commended for their meticulous attention to detail. Every corner was flawlessly clean, and the linens were fresh and inviting. It was evident that cleanliness was a top priority for the hotel, and it truly made a difference in my overall experience.

Although the room lacked a modern aesthetic, it possessed a certain charm and homely atmosphere that added to the overall appeal. The furniture may not have been the most contemporary, but it was comfortable and well-maintained. The amenities provided were of excellent quality, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Very close to George and Water Street, as well as many other attractions (Signal Hill, Cape Spear, Quidi Vidi). Bed was super comfortable! Note to Bonvoyers - $10 voucher is not good for alcohol in the bar of the hotel. Pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and all working.

Delta St. John’s is located at one end of Downtown and walking distance to Water Street and George Street. Hotel has a big lobby with a good restaurant located right in the lobby. Even though I didn’t use them, but they have a nice gym and a pool in the lower level. There’s a Starbucks right in the lobby which is very convenient.
The entrance of the hotel is from the back and if you are going there for the first time, it is difficult to find.
My room had 2 queen beds, a sofa chair and a desk with chair. Bathroom is nicely appointment but a little dated. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles are fixed on the wall of the shower right where you are standing under the shower, which makes it very difficult to move your arms.
Overall, nice hotel for the price and good value for money.

Clean, affordable, great service. The hotel took care of me despite being very busy with a dance competition. Restaurant staff were very attentive.

The only thing I thought could have been better was for the hotel to upgrade the vending machines to take card payment.

The parking was very convenient. And they had a dedicated spot for door dash deliveries. No issues ordering in.

Very friendly staff all throughout the building. When checking in, some people in my group got charged more than others for the deposit so we were not sure what happened there when our rooms were all the same. One day a man knocked and came into my room to check my room phone which I found a bit odd but maybe there was an issue I wasnt aware of. The pool was nice and warm, and the restaurant is beautiful. The security in this building is superb. You have to have your access key to get in at night, and to go up in the elevators from the main and lower level. Close to many shops and pubs. Overall I suppose I agree with the 4 stars.
