I loved havin the breakfast, that was a nice bonus The location was perfect to everything
Hotel has a good location right by the waterfront, near all the restaurants. Rooms are decent and depending your selection may have a nice seating area, tub with jets and nice glass wall shower. No microwave in rooms or in food area. Morning breakfast is a “grab and go” (muffins, yogurt, juice and hot beverages) with no trays to bring items back to rooms.
Location couldn’t be better. I’m reading the other reviews maybe we had an upgraded room because it was very nice with a king size comfy bed. Fabulous shower with towel warmer and mood fireplace. Very VERY friendly front desk staff.
Dated hotel, spotted a shrew on the corridor. The continental breakfast was a variety of muffins fruit and yoghurt. Not exactly what you would expect. Nothing wrong with the muffins... Spacious king size bed.
Room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Friendly service on the front desk.
Every time I go to St. John’s and need to stay the night this is where I stay. The hotel is the closest & in walking distance to restaurants, bars, local shopping & the Mary Browns Centre. No need to move your vehicle once you park it unless leaving downtown. The rooms are beautiful and the tubs are amazing. The one an only thing I would change is the size of the tv, they are too small. Other than...

Older hotel & the free breakfast is in the sorta Italian restaurant. You use coupons for the free breakfast. Toilet ran constantly. (We took the top off so we could pop the rubber thing down to stop it. Didn't know the big difference in this Holiday Inn from the newer one at the airport! What a difference! If we return, we know which one to stay at NOW!
Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The one bad thing about our stay was a running toilet. Easy fix, we kept the lid off to keep it quiet. THAT was the only thing negative, of course, there was the cold wet weather that couldn't be helped.
Needs some updating. Cleaning was an issue. The hallways were discussing. I advised the front desk and they did nothing for the three days we were there. Instead they sent someone to my room to clean when I specifically requested no one enter. Not very attentive to guest requests. They just ignore and do what they want. Poor quality breakfast. Cold & recorded day Fter day the same items. No variety...
I loved the rooms and the reception was very friendly and helpful but the free breakfast was cold. The toast was hard and still white, the hash round thing almost broke my teeth when I bit into it. Could only get scrambled eggs and they were also hard and cold. No options, no refill of coffee offered . I passed many tables yet to be cleared and no one ate the eggs or 'toast'. The waitress was embarrassed...
It's a quiet and clean hotel. When I am for business always stay there. The new management has to improve the speed of the internet although not very bad.
Allowed beer inside. Escort given a go ahead after visiting hours. All good

Room was very clean and well maintained, staff were great. Loved the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.
Very close to George and Water Street, as well as many other attractions (Signal Hill, Cape Spear, Quidi Vidi). Bed was super comfortable! Note to Bonvoyers - $10 voucher is not good for alcohol in the bar of the hotel. Pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and all working.
Good location right in St John’s. Our experience was not very good, the two check in staff didn’t care to talk. No greetings, no smiles, no introducing us to the hotel. Just so Minimum, immediately felt unwelcomed, they were border line rude. The first people you talk to make an impression on the city and after the wonderful people we meet at deer lake, this felt like a huge let down. The first room...
Delta St. John’s is located at one end of Downtown and walking distance to Water Street and George Street. Hotel has a big lobby with a good restaurant located right in the lobby. Even though I didn’t use them, but they have a nice gym and a pool in the lower level. There’s a Starbucks right in the lobby which is very convenient. The entrance of the hotel is from the back and if you are going there...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Delta in St. John's, Newfoundland, and I must say, despite a few outdated elements, the experience was truly delightful. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who ensured my check-in process was seamless. The lobby exuded an elegant charm, though I couldn't help but notice that the overall style of the rooms seemed...

Nice hotel, good location with working distance to most attractions in St John's. We stayed here for 7 nights, very satisfied with the facilities, enjoyed the gym and swimming pool. After a day touring, soak into the Hot tub, then sauna, you feel relaxed and refreshed. The hotel service is good, warm and kind reception. We also had a dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious
Upscale hotel with a touch of luxury and creature comforts appreciated by those who travel frequently. Conveniently located on the East end of downtown St. John's within walking distance of many interesting sites in this oldest city in North America. Beautiful indoor tropical garden with waterworks. Spectacular room views of the city to the North and West as well as the historic Signal Hill (The...
I was a regular and a true fan of this location for many years. Sadly, my staying this week resulted in looking for a new Hotel for my future staying. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare and inconvenience. I'm going to spare you all the 4 times I tried to get in and out that made me almost being late from meetings. The restaurant is no longer there which would have been lovely to know so I wouldn...
Good friendly service. Nice hotel - the atrium looked nice. Gym and pool in good condition, clean and well equipped. Our room was clean and well appointed although the carpet was due for a cleaning. Overall a little pricey but still good value and a quality stay. Would go back.
From the moment I walked through the front doors into the lobby, until my departure, the experience was amazing. All staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. The meals in The Bivver Restaurant were scrumptious ~ I enjoyed every bite-full! The servers were very welcoming, efficient and knowledgeable ~ it made a pleasure to dine there. We loved the suite we had booked as a mini anniversary celebration. The hotel, overall, and location were perfect for a lovely stay in the city following a conference in town. Our room service dinner on arrival was excellent as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!

It was very nice environment. Cool pictures of great artists.
4.5/5 stars really. Great location close to George St. Service good except for some housekeeping misses (didn't replenish hand towels, soaps). Bathroom sink had very poor drainage. Breakfast that was included in price was very good as were the waitresses and waiters. Wonderful lemon water at the front to fill water bottles and staff always at the front doors letting you in and out. Can avoid the...
We went to Newfoundland for the first time and we had the privilege of staying at this place which is amazing at their service. The staff like Jennifer, shay, Stephanie, Justin, Dave all were amazing at their service. As soon as you enter the hotel they greet you and welcome you. First off, I have to talk about the decor as soon as you enter...... absolutely incredible! It's a beautiful hotel with a musical theme. The artwork is incredible! A local artist painted some of the artwork, and it is stunning. The mural behind the front desk is amazing. They even have a coffee table in the form of a giant cassette tape. Next, the service. JAG hotel is very unique featuring popular band art adorning all the walls, restaurants and guests rooms of the private owned hotel. The hotel features valet parking as limited parking available. On site restaurant and bar is great on comfort and menu choices. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. High marks for this hotel and I highly recommend this hotel.
Great place and price, staff were very friendly, bar and restaurant nice. Music rock and roll theme "Rocks' new extension also sounds awesome, walking distance to MB center and downtown and George Street makes it awesome. Valet parking a little extra but worth it.

Courtyard by Marriott St. John's Newfoundland, St. Johns1 / 50
St. Johns, 131 Duckworth Street 🧭 Map
Great location near downtown. Dinner at restaurant was very tasty. Friendly staff. For some reason my middle name was put as part of last name, making reservation hard to look up. But reception was really helpful to get it solved.
A solid Courtyard hotel, but what makes it really stand out is the incredible service. Everyone was fantastic, and when my travel plans got disrupted they did all you could expect and more to help make things work for me. Everyone I dealt with was kind and accommodating, and the staff alone is reason enough to stay here.
Nice location. Not a far walk from the downtown core on water street. The receptionist was super friendly and accommodating. She let us check in early! Good view of the harbour from the restaurant. Only complaint is that there is no coffee, and the breakfast inside the restaurant is $$$$
The location is quite convenient for restaurants and pubs. The stores and locals nearby the hotel are quite convenient too. Not everything is perfect, we were accommodated to the 3rd floor right in front of the cleaning room, we had noise and staff taking in front of our room (considering we add our do not disturb sign) every single morning starting around 7am disturbing our sleep. Also rooms cleaning...
St Johns hotels can be quite pricey during peak summer months but this Marriott property was a welcome respite. When you are hotel hopping for a few weeks with your family across The Rock and find yourself on the East Coast, check out this downtown hotel. Ask for Robinson. He's The Man. He's like a Ferris Bueller of this hotel that gets stuff done. He could see how tired this old dad was and worked...
Nice location close to the harbor and nightlife and daylife. All amenities not included are near. The rooms are well appointed and have everything you need for your stay. The beds are comfortable. The staff are always willing to help with anything you may need help with.

Two nights at St John’s best hotel. Luxury casual in a location close to everything. Chris and his staff pampered with the best beds, bath and baked goods! Next time we’re on the Rock, this is where we will call home! Thanks for a top-notch 5-Star visit!
I went here for drinks and had a great time. The bartender was very friendly and mixed amazing drinks. Unfortunately he was working alone, and it was quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait. Overall great experience, with delicious drinks!
Stayed here last night of my friends visit to NL and we were very pleased. Beautiful modern room. Great location and great service. I absolutely loved my stay. The bathroom touches put this room over the top! It’s kinda hard to beat to be honest. Go and enjoy! If I were to change anything it would only be the mattress. I love plush but the bed was firm
Best cocktail bar in the city bar none. Friendly engaged staff aim to please the clientele. Great selection of high end spirits. Extensive menu and they can make most anything even not on the menu. Our favourite place to relax with a really good drink.
Beautiful Hotel with a great view, fantastic service and simply one of the best bars anywhere, every cocktail is a work of art for you tongue, the skilled bartenders are masterful at their craft.

Excellent and clean location. I stay here every time I come through St John's airport and have always had a good rest. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, ideal for single night stays close to the airport. If you're looking to stay for more then a couple days I reccomend staying closer in town.
The bed was very comfortable and the lady at the desk was very helpful and kind.
Nice rooms and staff were friendly. The breakfast was ok if you are looking for a light breakfast .

This was a great place to stay for a few nights while we toured around St John's. The bed was comfy, room was clean, desk staff were excellent! We loved the breakfast buffet. It was handy to the airport. We even had a decent view from our room.
We needed a room last minute during a busy weekend. The staff were amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Recommend for couples families or groups.
It was nice to have a hot breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ample parking.
Highly recommend as a base for day trips and transit travellers to the airport. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and most valued extras like a gym, pool and coin operated laundry were also available. The breakfast station while simple ticked the boxes. A really terrific stay!
We stayed here for our first night in Newfoundland and loved the entire experience. The check in person helped us find a nice place for dinner. Beds were comfy, room clean and modern. Good choice of food and we appreciated the fresh fruits.
Everything was great. Only one suggestion for the management: if you could add a few more toasters so all guests don't have to wait in a long line to have toast that would be terrific.
Always welcoming environment makes this Hotel a Ideal place for the tourists, divers customer care for all sort of occupants from kids to elderly and from patients to athletes. Cleanliness is utmost and the guest services are outstanding.
We stayed for the first half of a family trip, and the kids loved it! The water slide was a great source of entertainment that kept the kids off their tablets up in the room. My favourite place to stay in St. John's. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and so helpful. The home is beautiful and well kept, located walking distance from shops, hiking trails, and historic sites. Breakfast is fresh and delicious! Seriously recommend.
At Wit's Inn is amazing! The room is incredible and the claw foot bathtub is superb. It's close to everything in St John's. The breakfast was delicious and the host, James, is so great! I only have great things to say about this place!!
The house is beautiful and in such an amazing location! You are getting so much more than a place to sleep when you stay here. You're getting a great breakfast and start to your day, a stunning room and view, and advice on what to see in this beautiful city thanks to James, the caretaker/owner! Cannot recommend more!
Few words other than perfect can describe our stay At Wits Inn, in St John’s NL. When you walk in to this beautiful Queen Anne home, it is as though you have been swept back in time. A well located hotel in St John’s with decent size room, ok amenities and good view of the harbour. There is a good size underground car park with a cost of $10 per night. Clean hotel, friendly staff, great location - good selection of galleries and restaurants (the one in the hotel has a great view). St. John's more "lively" street life happens more the other end of downtown - a dozen blocks away. We felt safer at this location/area of downtown, not that any area of St. John's is 'unsafe'. Our very clean, forth floor room had a great view of the harbour. We liked the...
We ate at the restaurant at the hotel. Food is pricey, but wasn't great quality for what you pay. It also takes quite a while to get your food. I had the sizzling fajitas, which were not bad, but the cold setup was quite small. The Caesar salad was quite tasty and was a good portion. Overall, it's fine but not great.
Staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Room was clean and cozy, with a nice view of the harbour (glad the hotel lived up to its name!). Definitely a great budget option if you don't want to go bankrupt on the Sheraton.

The restaurant there was closed. We had to go out to eat . The room itself was clean.. I did find a few spots on the top blanket of our beds. And I asked for extra towels every day but never received them. And the location of the elevator is very confusing.
It was a nice hotel the AC doesn't really work and the showers are super short but besides that a nice place
Very clean And good service, however the restaurant there is only for private use, so you may need to find nearby restaurants
Hotel is clean a little dated but not and issue to us.
Very nice room but no breakfast, Very disappointed, the website says free breakfast but it's false, so if you want breakfast in your price, don't stay here!
