Delta Hotels by Marriott St. John's Conference Centre, St. Johns1 / 50
St. Johns, 120 New Gower Street 🧭 Map
Room was very clean and well maintained, staff were great. Loved the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.
Very close to George and Water Street, as well as many other attractions (Signal Hill, Cape Spear, Quidi Vidi). Bed was super comfortable! Note to Bonvoyers - $10 voucher is not good for alcohol in the bar of the hotel. Pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and all working.
Good location right in St John’s. Our experience was not very good, the two check in staff didn’t care to talk. No greetings, no smiles, no introducing us to the hotel. Just so Minimum, immediately felt unwelcomed, they were border line rude. The first people you talk to make an impression on the city and after the wonderful people we meet at deer lake, this felt like a huge let down. The first room...
Delta St. John’s is located at one end of Downtown and walking distance to Water Street and George Street. Hotel has a big lobby with a good restaurant located right in the lobby. Even though I didn’t use them, but they have a nice gym and a pool in the lower level. There’s a Starbucks right in the lobby which is very convenient. The entrance of the hotel is from the back and if you are going there...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Delta in St. John's, Newfoundland, and I must say, despite a few outdated elements, the experience was truly delightful. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who ensured my check-in process was seamless. The lobby exuded an elegant charm, though I couldn't help but notice that the overall style of the rooms seemed...
Clean, affordable, great service. The hotel took care of me despite being very busy with a dance competition. Restaurant staff were very attentive. The only thing I thought could have been better was for the hotel to upgrade the vending machines to take card payment. The parking was very convenient. And they had a dedicated spot for door dash deliveries. No issues ordering in.

Older hotel & the free breakfast is in the sorta Italian restaurant. You use coupons for the free breakfast. Toilet ran constantly. (We took the top off so we could pop the rubber thing down to stop it. Didn't know the big difference in this Holiday Inn from the newer one at the airport! What a difference! If we return, we know which one to stay at NOW!
Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The one bad thing about our stay was a running toilet. Easy fix, we kept the lid off to keep it quiet. THAT was the only thing negative, of course, there was the cold wet weather that couldn't be helped.
Needs some updating. Cleaning was an issue. The hallways were discussing. I advised the front desk and they did nothing for the three days we were there. Instead they sent someone to my room to clean when I specifically requested no one enter. Not very attentive to guest requests. They just ignore and do what they want. Poor quality breakfast. Cold & recorded day Fter day the same items. No variety...
I loved the rooms and the reception was very friendly and helpful but the free breakfast was cold. The toast was hard and still white, the hash round thing almost broke my teeth when I bit into it. Could only get scrambled eggs and they were also hard and cold. No options, no refill of coffee offered . I passed many tables yet to be cleared and no one ate the eggs or 'toast'. The waitress was embarrassed...
It's a quiet and clean hotel. When I am for business always stay there. The new management has to improve the speed of the internet although not very bad.
Clean and spacious room. The front staff was friendly and attended to my needs. The attached East Side Mario's restaurant is a bonus

Hotel has a good location right by the waterfront, near all the restaurants. Rooms are decent and depending your selection may have a nice seating area, tub with jets and nice glass wall shower. No microwave in rooms or in food area. Morning breakfast is a “grab and go” (muffins, yogurt, juice and hot beverages) with no trays to bring items back to rooms.
Location couldn’t be better. I’m reading the other reviews maybe we had an upgraded room because it was very nice with a king size comfy bed. Fabulous shower with towel warmer and mood fireplace. Very VERY friendly front desk staff.
Dated hotel, spotted a shrew on the corridor. The continental breakfast was a variety of muffins fruit and yoghurt. Not exactly what you would expect. Nothing wrong with the muffins... Spacious king size bed.
Every time I go to St. John’s and need to stay the night this is where I stay. The hotel is the closest & in walking distance to restaurants, bars, local shopping & the Mary Browns Centre. No need to move your vehicle once you park it unless leaving downtown. The rooms are beautiful and the tubs are amazing. The one an only thing I would change is the size of the tv, they are too small. Other than...
This hotel has the best baths in town - get the executive king room with the whirlpool jaccuzzi, it's worth it. The rooms are nice with very comfy beds, the hotel staff are fantastic, and the property is in a great location downtown.
The historic building is lovely and in a great location for quick access to restaurants, shops, and George Street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the wood beams and exposed brick walls in our room, a very unique but wonderful stay.

We loved our stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast had a good selection.
Excellent and clean location. I stay here every time I come through St John's airport and have always had a good rest. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, ideal for single night stays close to the airport. If you're looking to stay for more then a couple days I reccomend staying closer in town.
Nice rooms and staff were friendly. The breakfast was ok if you are looking for a light breakfast .
Nice clean hotel near YYT with free shuttle to the terminal. Convenience store, Tim Hortons and Subway across the street. The Rock steakhouse next door.
We had an amazing 3 ďay stay! The room was spotless, the breakfast was delicious and Carol Anne is the most hospitable, funny and welcoming soul! She is an asset to the Inn and we hope to see her again soon! 👍

Beautiful Location on the Hill O Chips directly across the road from the Bannerman Brewery. You'll have a lovely ocean view as long as there's not too much fog. Room had a not-over-the-top nautical theme with dory blueprints as the bathroom wallpaper. Hotel restaurant is pretty upscale and we only had one breakfast there. Note: For about a $50/night upgrade you can get breakfast included. I did...
I had a wonderful stay on my trip. The room was clean, the views spectacular, and the rooms were very unique. The restaurant below had great views of the bay. The gym was nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with tips on where to visit around town. Some oddities is to call ahead to have your room cleaned if you want it done before the standard 3 days (this is not uncommon for...
A well located hotel in St John’s with decent size room, ok amenities and good view of the harbour. There is a good size underground car park with a cost of $10 per night. There was some issues with cleaning staff, I was made aware of this on check in. However, after a 4 day stay, my room was never cleaned. The restaurant and bar is very good, all the staff there was very welcoming delivering great...
Clean hotel, friendly staff, great location - good selection of galleries and restaurants (the one in the hotel has a great view). St. John's more "lively" street life happens more the other end of downtown - a dozen blocks away. We felt safer at this location/area of downtown, not that any area of St. John's is 'unsafe'. Our very clean, forth floor room had a great view of the harbour. We liked the...
We ate at the restaurant at the hotel. Food is pricey, but wasn't great quality for what you pay. It also takes quite a while to get your food. I had the sizzling fajitas, which were not bad, but the cold setup was quite small. The Caesar salad was quite tasty and was a good portion. Overall, it's fine but not great.
Staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Room was clean and cozy, with a nice view of the harbour (glad the hotel lived up to its name!). Definitely a great budget option if you don't want to go bankrupt on the Sheraton.

This was a great place to stay for a few nights while we toured around St John's. The bed was comfy, room was clean, desk staff were excellent! We loved the breakfast buffet. It was handy to the airport. We even had a decent view from our room.
We needed a room last minute during a busy weekend. The staff were amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Recommend for couples families or groups.
Highly recommend as a base for day trips and transit travellers to the airport. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and most valued extras like a gym, pool and coin operated laundry were also available. The breakfast station while simple ticked the boxes. A really terrific stay!
We stayed here for our first night in Newfoundland and loved the entire experience. The check in person helped us find a nice place for dinner. Beds were comfy, room clean and modern. The common areas were well kept. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best I ever had and it was included. I highly recommend staying here and will return when I come back.
I had a phenomenal stay at this location during a recent trip for business and medical appointments. A little out of the way, but it's perfectly located for easy access to highways and quick drives to all essential areas of the city. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of my room. I certainly recommend staying here!
stayed here for a night, and I can say that the price for the room and the room itself is so worth it! and the breakfast is good, there's a lot of items to choose from and the good thing here is that it is a buffet type. the staffs are really nice also. will comeback to stay here if I can in the future.

I’ve stayed here many times and usually have a great experience. Front staff are always so friendly and helpful. I did have an issue during my last stay here, however Cory the manager was very prompt in rectifying...
First time I've stayed in a hotel in maybe 12 years due to uncleanliness in even upscale hotels. Was nervous, but I would stay again without a doubt. So very clean, comfy, and amazingly pet friendly.
Excellent service all around - from free shuttle to/from airport, delicious breakfasts (also free), comfortable rooms, helpful and friendly front desk staff, and complimentary desktop computer and printer in the lobby. The cleaning staff always had a smile too.
Rooms were good but a little musty. Maybe we got a room that was vacant for a while. We were there for a wedding. The meal was top notch. The open bar is highway robbery. $4 for 3/4 of a can of 7up. Double whiskey was $20. Some might say that's fair, I think it is taking advantage of people.
Staff are amazing. Great restaurant right in hotel, awsome breakfast served by the Clancy's complimentary from the hotel. They all go above and beyond for the guess and treat you like family. LOVE THIS HOTEL.
It was my husband's Birthday! Bed very comfortable and inviting! We had a beautiful supper and breakfast at Clancy's. Very clean hotel and friendly staff!!

Everything was great. Only one suggestion for the management: if you could add a few more toasters so all guests don't have to wait in a long line to have toast that would be terrific.
Always welcoming environment makes this Hotel a Ideal place for the tourists, divers customer care for all sort of occupants from kids to elderly and from patients to athletes. Cleanliness is utmost and the guest services are outstanding.
We stayed for the first half of a family trip, and the kids loved it! The water slide was a great source of entertainment that kept the kids off their tablets up in the room. We opted for a 2 Queen + Sofa bed, which was the perfect set up for our family of 4. We and our 14 year old could stay up playing cards for a bit after our 10 year old went to bed, and having the kids in separate beds meant that...
We stayed as couple twice in last 3 months. Great service, Perfect Location, Reasonable price and Delicious breakfast. Rooms are spacious and equipped with all basic utilities. Also has pool to relax. Highly Commendable.
An excellent hotel located in a more commercial/industrial part of St. John's. Rooms were clear and standard, very nice bathrooms. Breakfast was standard as well, but very good. Staff members were all super helpful and nice. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you have a car, if not it's a very challenging location to get around in.
An excellent place to stay in St John's when you want to be close to everything. This hotel has it all. Comfortable beds, a clean room and an amazing waterslide. The breakfast was good with lots of options. The staff here are also amazing and very helpful. I look forward to staying here again.

Absolutely love the people , very clean and Absolutely wonderful customer service from all departments, I can not rave about the food enough, my favorite experience during my medical stay in St. John's, I also want to add they also have medical shuttle which is a bonus
The location was great for appointments in the west end of the city as well as center city, access to main arteries right around the hotel, you are only minutes from other areas of the city from this location, love it.
I enjoyed my weekend stay here. It has a nice dine-in restaurant & fitness room. The rooms are very modern, but not a spot if you're looking for a great view.

The restaurant there was closed. We had to go out to eat . The room itself was clean.. I did find a few spots on the top blanket of our beds. And I asked for extra towels every day but never received them. And the location of the elevator is very confusing.
It was a nice hotel the AC doesn't really work and the showers are super short but besides that a nice place
Very clean And good service, however the restaurant there is only for private use, so you may need to find nearby restaurants
Very nice room but no breakfast, Very disappointed, the website says free breakfast but it's false, so if you want breakfast in your price, don't stay here!
Great experience here. Flew from AB and had a long day. The lady at the front desk was welcoming and made things easy. She sorted us out in seconds. Rooms are unique compared to most hotels and the beds are awesome.
I spent the night there recently, the Wifi didn't work properly and I was getting warnings about the certificate being expired. The front door is not really wheelchair accessible, once you're inside there's a few steps to go down, might be a door elsewhere to get in because there is a ramp off to the side. Staff were very friendly and kind.

Two nights at St John’s best hotel. Luxury casual in a location close to everything. Chris and his staff pampered with the best beds, bath and baked goods! Next time we’re on the Rock, this is where we will call home! Thanks for a top-notch 5-Star visit!
I went here for drinks and had a great time. The bartender was very friendly and mixed amazing drinks. Unfortunately he was working alone, and it was quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait. Overall great experience, with delicious drinks!
Stayed here last night of my friends visit to NL and we were very pleased. Beautiful modern room. Great location and great service. I absolutely loved my stay. The bathroom touches put this room over the top! It’s kinda hard to beat to be honest. Go and enjoy! If I were to change anything it would only be the mattress. I love plush but the bed was firm
Best cocktail bar in the city bar none. Friendly engaged staff aim to please the clientele. Great selection of high end spirits. Extensive menu and they can make most anything even not on the menu. Our favourite place to relax with a really good drink.
Beautiful Hotel with a great view, fantastic service and simply one of the best bars anywhere, every cocktail is a work of art for you tongue, the skilled bartenders are masterful at their craft.

The hotel is in a pretty good location. The room walls had what was most likely just beer splashed on them, but it still sparkled in the sun light. The blanket on the bed was dirty. Breakfast was lacking service and even after we got staff to...
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room definitely did not sleep 5 as advertised. Maybe three, but the pullout couch was super uncomfortable. Some of the lights and outlets in the room did not work as well. The main bed was quite nice however.
Amazing place to stay. Quiet, quaint and clean. The staff were fantastic and the little pool and slide was so much fun for the kids. We will be back!
I recently completed a one-year lease for a bachelor and I must say, it was the perfect choice for someone relocating to the city without any hassle. I was given a jacuzzi room (no extra charge), and they received me really late due to my flight delay with an smile and lots of gratitude to arrive and be hosted on their place…. no words to describe the happiness it creates you after a hard day of travelling.
Friendly staff with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. I was at the spa yesterday for the first time. I received a prenatal massage, I felt so comfortable being there. They have the proper prenatal table which helped relieve the pressure of the baby while receiving the massage. I haven’t had any of the other services, only the massage (as of now). Although, I am planning on returning.
Booked a much needed Therapeutic Massage. My massage therapist was Stephanie M. and she was fantastic. I had a lot of tense muscles when I arrived, but not when I left. Great location near downtown. Dinner at restaurant was very tasty. Friendly staff. For some reason my middle name was put as part of last name, making reservation hard to look up. But reception was really helpful to get it solved.
A solid Courtyard hotel, but what makes it really stand out is the incredible service. Everyone was fantastic, and when my travel plans got disrupted they did all you could expect and more to help make things work for me. Everyone I dealt with was kind and accommodating, and the staff alone is reason enough to stay here.
Nice location. Not a far walk from the downtown core on water street. The receptionist was super friendly and accommodating. She let us check in early! Good view of the harbour from the restaurant. Only complaint is that there is no coffee, and the breakfast inside the restaurant is $$$$
The location is quite convenient for restaurants and pubs. The stores and locals nearby the hotel are quite convenient too. Had the soup of the day, Moose Vegetable Soup, with a prime rib sandwich. Definitely didn't disappoint. The soup was loaded with moose meat and the prime rib was delicious.
There is no better place to go in St. John's to get an authentic English pub dining atmosphere. On top of that, the food is excellent, well priced, and the service is friendly and prompt.
Best all-day brunch in the city. If you are a Hungry Person, they have you covered. Plus, they rotate local brews on tap.
Cozy atmosphere, great pub grub with some unique items like bison burgers and moose burgers. Can't go wrong with the Scotch egg or fish and chips. Craft beer on tap, as well as bottles of the usual.

Well worth the value, our room was clean, location and buildings were quiet, bed was comfortable. Like with other reviews, parking was an issue as we had to park on the road well away from the room. Stairs are narrow and plentiful for any one with mobility issues. Breakfast was included but somewhat bare bones.
Great stay! Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, ans washroom was spotless. My flight was delayed so I checked in At 3 am and was greeted by a very friendly staff member. Breakfast was simple (fresh delicious muffins, boiled eggs, jams, coffee/tea). Location was every thing. Will definitely be staying at the same hotel next trip!
Nice clean, well kept hotel within walking distance to downtown. If you're older, ask for a room on lower levels as the 3rd floor rooms are a bit of a hike upwards. Also, If warm out, make sure you are given a remote for the a/c.

Location and ease of parking was excellent. The room was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Breakfast was outstanding but amongst all our wonderful experiences here was our host Cheri. She was very welcoming, personable and just a lovely person.

In the room, I liked the detachable shower head in the bathroom, as well as the solid hook for hanging things on the back of the door - important details. The room (1) had a nice view of the harbour and the colourful houses. Good air conditioning/heat system if needed. Two chairs and a coffee...
This place is an absolute gem!! David, our host, was super friendly and whom we got the privilege to know personally. He gave us some of the best tips while visiting Newfoundland. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to many shops and restaurants downtown and on the waterfront. Lots of parking in front. The breakfast options were fantastic. Lots to choose from. Wine glasses, cork screws...
David was an excellent host! The inn was very clean and we had fantastic sleeps both nights we were there. When we woke up, there was an assortment of breakfast options set up. It was also in a great location, close to everything!
David and Sherry were very accommodating when we arrived early after a red eye flight. The location was very central to downtown sites. Clean and great breakfast options. Would highly recommend the Balmoral Inn.
Well maintained and very clean B&B. About a 10 minute walk to George St. Bathroom in our room was small but it worked and was spotless. Hosts friendly and informative.
