Staff are nice,helpful snd friendly.
Clean and quick and easy check in and check out. Thanks!
Cleanliness , Staff very friendly
Check in was very good
Had an incredible getaway with my children lastnight. We ate good food, had a lovely room that was clean and comfy. Went swimming and had a dance party
Enjoyable and comfortable place to stay! Staff are friendly and accomodating
Older hotel & the free breakfast is in the sorta Italian restaurant. You use coupons for the free breakfast. Toilet ran constantly. (We took the top off so we could pop the rubber thing down to stop it.
Didn't know the big difference in this Holiday Inn from the newer one at the airport! What a difference! If we return, we know which one to stay at NOW!

I loved havin the breakfast, that was a nice bonus
The location was perfect to everything
Hotel has a good location right by the waterfront, near all the restaurants. Rooms are decent and depending your selection may have a nice seating area, tub with jets and nice glass wall shower.
No microwave in rooms or in food area.
Morning breakfast is a “grab and go” (muffins, yogurt, juice and hot beverages) with no trays to bring items back to rooms.
Location couldn’t be better. I’m reading the other reviews maybe we had an upgraded room because it was very nice with a king size comfy bed. Fabulous shower with towel warmer and mood fireplace. Very VERY friendly front desk staff.
Dated hotel, spotted a shrew on the corridor. The continental breakfast was a variety of muffins fruit and yoghurt. Not exactly what you would expect. Nothing wrong with the muffins... Spacious king size bed.
Room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Friendly service on the front desk.
Every time I go to St. John’s and need to stay the night this is where I stay. The hotel is the closest & in walking distance to restaurants, bars, local shopping & the Mary Browns Centre. No need to move your vehicle once you park it unless leaving downtown. The rooms are beautiful and the tubs are amazing. The one an only thing I would change is the size of the tv, they are too small. Other than...

This was a very good stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is just okay. There is an airport shuttle van available. It is an easy walk from the airport. There is a bus stop at the airport and one by the hotel. The bus service was good.
The morning breakfast buffet pool, laundry, work areas and gym set them apart
Always stay here. Close to the airport, convenient pickup (even without the shuttle currently). Breakfast is great for an express hotel.
We did not like that the curtains were only shears. It was very bright in the morning with no way to darken it.
It was very good. We got picked up at the airport. The receptionist the next morning was very helpful and printed out something for me.
Always love my stay at the holiday in! Always have good breakfast options too!

Quality Hotel St. John's
St. Johns, 2 Hill O' Chips 🧭 Map
Nice restaurant but did not like the Italian menu. Hotel much more modern than it use to be.
This is a comfortable hotel in a great location. We booked a suite and it was perfect for our week-long stay. We also had a lovely dinner at the Little Sparo restaurant with superb service. Overall, I would recommend this place. The view is lovely and although there was some noise from the working harbor, it didn't go beyond 10pm. A couple of areas where there is room for improvement: 1. The bathroom...
This was my second Double Tree hotel on my Canadian holiday and it was great. I chose a corner room with a harbour view and it was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. The guest laundry was easy to use and well located. The staff were very helpful. I was only here for one night before joining an expedition cruise but it was perfect for my needs, especially the easy walk to the waterfront shops...
This is actually the second time I’m staying here. My first visit, back in the summer of 2019, this hotel was undergoing a major renovation/rebranding. Now with all of the work completed, I was eager to return. Our harbor view room (two queen beds) was tastefully decorated and the view was as great as I remember. It is fascinating to watch all of the activity taking place on the offshore supply vessels...
Great location on the water. Staff very professional. Rooms are clean and quiet hotel with amazing view of the bay. Treat Diamond members well not only with water and preferred parking but also free parking for Diamond members! Always a nice touch to have a warm chocolate chip cookie but we were disappointed the second night arriving back home from dinner they were being “rationed”
Stayed 3 nights in a King harbour view corner suite … very interesting to see personal watercraft & marine activity in the harbour. Nice view of Signal Hill from our room! Our suite was very modern & clean, luxurious bedding & towels, quality Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in shower as well as body lotion on vanity; really appreciated nice wine & drink glasses in room...

nice hotel, friendly staff. Airport in the name, is a little misleading, although not far..shuttle service was a bonus.
No exhaust in the washroom, need to call to complete the expected amenities such as slippers, etc. and the room that I got has no view. The pool was not warm enough so we and the other guests who swimming in there didn’t enjoy it much.
The breakfast was average and the room was very big. The location was not very convenient if you don't have a car. There is a convenience store in the lobby, and you can buy pre-made lunch boxes and heat them up for dinner. The driver who sent me to the airport had a very good service attitude.
Not bad, the bus is also convenient, like
The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, clean and sanitary. The service staff is enthusiastic. This hotel is a good choice for traveling to St. John's. Here we went to Cape Spear to watch the sunrise. It was an unforgettable trip.
Nice environment, good equipment, friendly and patient front desk staff.

Staff was friendly and helpful room was okay but you could hear people talking in another room
We stayed here for 1 night, in a good area. The restaurant in the hotel is closed down. Which is not posted.
The restaurant there was closed. We had to go out to eat . The room itself was clean.. I did find a few spots on the top blanket of our beds. And I asked for extra towels every day but never received them. And the location of the elevator is very confusing.
It was a nice hotel the AC doesn't really work and the showers are super short but besides that a nice place
The hotel is old, the service is OK
Environment: average, not far from the airport, shopping is also quite convenient
Facilities: outdated
Service: The attitude is very good, this is a satisfactory place
Hygiene: Not bad, it's clean to me
Very clean And good service, however the restaurant there is only for private use, so you may need to find nearby restaurants

Two nights at St John’s best hotel. Luxury casual in a location close to everything.
Chris and his staff pampered with the best beds, bath and baked goods! Next time we’re on the Rock, this is where we will call home!
Thanks for a top-notch 5-Star visit!
I went here for drinks and had a great time. The bartender was very friendly and mixed amazing drinks. Unfortunately he was working alone, and it was quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait. Overall great experience, with delicious drinks!
Stayed here last night of my friends visit to NL and we were very pleased. Beautiful modern room. Great location and great service. I absolutely loved my stay. The bathroom touches put this room over the top! It’s kinda hard to beat to be honest. Go and enjoy!
If I were to change anything it would only be the mattress. I love plush but the bed was firm
Best cocktail bar in the city bar none. Friendly engaged staff aim to please the clientele. Great selection of high end spirits. Extensive menu and they can make most anything even not on the menu. Our favourite place to relax with a really good drink.
Beautiful Hotel with a great view, fantastic service and simply one of the best bars anywhere, every cocktail is a work of art for you tongue, the skilled bartenders are masterful at their craft.

It was very nice environment. Cool pictures of great artists.
4.5/5 stars really. Great location close to George St. Service good except for some housekeeping misses (didn't replenish hand towels, soaps). Bathroom sink had very poor drainage. Breakfast that was included in price was very good as were the waitresses and waiters. Wonderful lemon water at the front to fill water bottles and staff always at the front doors letting you in and out. Can avoid the...
We went to Newfoundland for the first time and we had the privilege of staying at this place which is amazing at their service. First off, I have to talk about the decor as soon as you enter...... absolutely incredible! It's a beautiful hotel with a musical theme. The artwork is incredible! A local artist painted some of the artwork, and it is stunning. The mural behind the front desk is amazing. They even have a coffee table in the form of a giant cassette tape.

JAG hotel is very unique featuring popular band art adorning all the walls, restaurants and guests rooms of the private owned hotel. The hotel features valet parking as limited parking available. On site restaurant and bar is great on comfort and menu choices. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. High marks for this hotel and I highly recommend this hotel.
Great place and price, staff were very friendly, bar and restaurant nice. Music rock and roll theme "Rocks' new extension also sounds awesome, walking distance to MB center and downtown and George Street makes it awesome. Valet parking a little extra but worth it.

New Favourite
Frequent visitors to St. John’s but we had never stayed here. That said it was a very busy time in St. John’s: end of Easter Break and lots hockey tournaments. We stumbled on this place just due to availability. It’s our new favourite in St. John’s.

Great location, menu options were great and food was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!
Excellent service, location, shower, meals, housekeeping, and quiet room. Will come back every time.
Everything about my lengthy stay was terrific!
This was the friendliest hotel I think I’ve ever been to. Can’t wait for an excuse to come back.
Marriott Review
We had a nice, comfortable stay with friendly service. Great breakfast options!
Only one issue. Ordered breakfast to our room, asked for two coffees. Received one coffee and a tomato juice. Called to have order fixed, was delivered a coffee and told I would be charged for the tomato juice, which I never asked for. Told the room service personnel that I would not be paying for something which was delivered in error. I was surprised that this was even suggested.

Hometel on Signal Hill
St. Johns, 2 St. Josephs lane 🧭 Map
Well worth the value, our room was clean, location and buildings were quiet, bed was comfortable. Like with other reviews, parking was an issue as we had to park on the road well away from the room. Stairs are narrow and plentiful for any one with mobility issues. Breakfast was included but somewhat bare bones.
Great stay! Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, ans washroom was spotless. My flight was delayed so I checked in At 3 am and was greeted by a very friendly staff member. Breakfast was simple (fresh delicious muffins, boiled eggs, jams, coffee/tea). Location was every thing. Will definitely be staying at the same hotel next trip!
Nice clean, well kept hotel within walking distance to downtown. If you're older, ask for a room on lower levels as the 3rd floor rooms are a bit of a hike upwards. Also, If warm out, make sure you are given a remote for the a/c.
Visited St.John's twice and stayed at hometel twice. Great Location, nice service.
Great location, we walked up to Signal Hill on the scenic trail. It took about an hour. Walking downtown to Water and George Street is 20-25 minutes. Nice, comfortable bedrooms and large, clean bathrooms. Definitely recommend for a visit to St. John's
Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the 24 hour front desk is always staffed which is wonderful. Parking can be limited, so you may need to park on the street some distance from your unit. You should ensure that you're good with climbing stairs - the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by stairs. If you think you may have problems with this, I recommend letting them know in advance -...

I was given a jacuzzi room (no extra charge), and they received me really late due to my flight delay with an smile and lots of gratitude to arrive and be hosted on their place…. no words to describe the happiness it creates you after a hard day of travelling.
Love it here. Great place to relax. Awesome staff and rooms.
Friendly staff with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. I was at the spa yesterday for the first time. I received a prenatal massage, I felt so comfortable being there. They have the proper prenatal table which helped relieve the pressure of the baby while receiving the massage. I haven’t had any of the other services, only the massage (as of now). Although, I am planning on returning.
Booked a much needed Therapeutic Massage. My massage therapist was Stephanie M. and she was fantastic. I had a lot of tense muscles when I arrived, but not when I left. Stephanie communicated what needed to be done and what she was doing as the appointment progressed. She also clearly communicated what I needed to do as after care. If you are looking for a smooth process and a great massage, definitely...

We are newfies who like to rent out a different hotel/b&b every month .
Our last stay was at Blue on Water, which was amazing .

My favourite place to stay in St. John's. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and so helpful. The home is beautiful and well kept, located walking distance from shops, hiking trails, and historic sites. Breakfast is fresh and delicious! Seriously recommend.
At Wit's Inn is amazing! The room is incredible and the claw foot bathtub is superb. It's close to everything in St John's. The breakfast was delicious and the host, James, is so great! I only have great things to say about this place!!
The house is beautiful and in such an amazing location! You are getting so much more than a place to sleep when you stay here. You're getting a great breakfast and start to your day, a stunning room and view, and advice on what to see in this beautiful city thanks to James, the caretaker/owner! Cannot recommend more!
Few words other than perfect can describe our stay At Wits Inn, in St John’s NL.
When you walk in to this beautiful Queen Anne home, it is as though you have been swept back in time. The house has been restored immaculately. A feeling of warmth and coziness envelopes you as soon as you walk in.

For 23 years, this has been my FAVORITE Saturday morning brunch. I haven't stayed in the rooms, but the restaurant has an awesome, cozy feel. And the staff are great. If you order the toutons GET THEM DEEP FRIED!! ♡
Had the soup of the day, Moose Vegetable Soup, with a prime rib sandwich. Definitely didn't disappoint. The soup was loaded with moose meat and the prime rib was delicious.
There is no better place to go in St. John's to get an authentic English pub dining atmosphere. On top of that, the food is excellent, well priced, and the service is friendly and prompt.
Best all-day brunch in the city. If you are a Hungry Person, they have you covered. Plus, they rotate local brews on tap.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Great staff makes you feel at home.
Cozy atmosphere, great pub grub with some unique items like bison burgers and moose burgers. Can't go wrong with the Scotch egg or fish and chips. Craft beer on tap, as well as bottles of the usual.

Location and ease of parking was excellent. The room was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Breakfast was outstanding but amongst all our wonderful experiences here was our host Cheri. She was very welcoming, personable and just a lovely person.
The host, David, is there at breakfast and is a wealth of information. He’s friendly and easily available.
In the room, I liked the detachable shower head in the bathroom, as well as the solid hook for hanging things on the back of the door - important details. The room (1) had a nice view of the harbour and the colourful houses.
