Stratford, 104 Ontario Street 🧭 Map
This was our first time staying in a hotel above a restaurant. We were.a little nervous that it was going to be noisy with the bar below but it wasn't at all! Its a 14 room boutique with a private entrance. We had the king size room with fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. It was very silent and we liked we could just go down and get food or have It brought up if we wanted too. Beds were comfy and the service...
We got excellent service from Emily there, our server. She treated us respectfully and assured us our food was hot and catered to our needs most efficiently and promptly. Thank you, Mercer Restaurant, for hiring such excellent servers there. Warmest Regards, Rani & Monica March 27th, 2023.Stratford ON.
The Mercer is right in the heart of the action on the main street in town so for me, a person visiting for work and zero night life, it gets a 3 whereas a party person would probably give higher stars for this spot. Great service and efficient staff. Was unable to try the onsite restaurant. Lots of quaint shops and other bars/eateries nearby but I didn't try any. Anyone that does not like climbing...
The service was very friendly and they really wanted to be of help. The room was beautiful, very pretty and clean. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and fun, and the hotel was in a perfect location for walking around Stratford for a weekend.

The motel was exactly what I expected. Clean and tidy, beds reasonably comfy, Owners very friendly, ample parking. Close enough to Stratford for an easy drive into town.
Quiet efficiently run and super-clean. Nicest owners give a "family" feel. Our room had the basics without pizzazz and though slightly dated everything was updated clean and comfortable. Our room backed onto peaceful and picturesque farmland which gifted us with fresh air and silence. Though we never used the pool, the pool area, pool and grounds were well kept, inviting and again, peaceful. We enjoyed...
Wow! A hidden gem in Stratford. 3 night stay. Value for money - check, room and property cleanliness- check, outstanding and courteous customer service by the owners Mike and Mandy and their staff Danielle and Nicole - check, quiet and peaceful sleeps with rooms facing a green field with a little balcony if lucky enough to get one of these rooms - check, well tended, beautiful gardens offering privacy...
We have no complaints about this motel. It's very clean. We have a lovely little deck that you can set out on. The pool is secluded and friendly and nice to be around. If we were to visit Stratford again we would choose this motel. It is situated outside of the main town but it's like 3 minutes away so who cares.
We were recommended to this place by a family friend. Amazing experience ! Would 100% recommend. Very clean and friendly. Cute garden and pool. They have a guide to Stratford in every room that recommends literally anything and everything you want to do and eat. It was pretty awesome.
The room was very clean and tidy. The property has very beautiful gardens. We ate by the pool under an umbrella because the gardens were so nice to look at. The location was perfect for touring around Stratford. Would definitely stay here again.

An old-fashioned motel, well maintained, on lovely grounds, quiet, beds comfortable. Nothing fancy, but will return for its simplicity and clealiness.
One word: clean. From the moment of check in to check out, everything was spotless and I'm a very meticulous and careful person when staying at accomodations where I double check everything. Staff/owner was nice and the restaurant just down the road was a nice hidden gem as well which I would recommend. Happy with the value and stay overall.
The room was spacious and very clean. My stay there was pleasant. The owner of the motel is a super nice lady. I will definitely stay there again, when I am back that way.
What a great motel. Clean, clean rooms, comfortable beds, spotless washrooms, pleasant staff, great price. Not sure what more you could ask for. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend to friends.
This has become our favorite place to stay when we come to the Stratford festival. Although it is not downtown, it is still a quick 5-minute drive to all the theaters. The rooms are spacious and both sides of the bed get equal treatment with a nice nightstand with shelf and drawer and good lighting. It is well designed & comfortable with several chairs, a fridge, big TV (that we never use) and a nice...
The facilities were clean and well kept. The motel had a vintage feel. The breakfast included coffee, tea, orange juice, and breads and muffins. The owners were nice.

Super nice owners of this hotel. They diligently monitor the grounds well maintained safe and sound. Plus they have the a pet dog known as thier "Prince". When you see him you'll know why! The of the beautiful dogs I have ever seen. He's actually stunning. If he ever has puppies I get first pick...
Staying in Room 6, room is perfect for just myself. Room comes with a little glass dining table and a larger desk; which was perfect for the Zoom meeting I had today. Wifi works excellent! Although on a busy road, the atmosphère and outdoors seems more peaceful and relaxed. There is a gazebo that I must try out tomorrow! The owner Dee is very professional and pleasant.
Decent prices a little run down from the look of it but the rooms look better than you'd think from the outside. Clean. But you can't control heat from your room, and the housekeeper is elderly I was told and forgets things sometimes like the alarm clock that went off at 1 am. Maybe it's also my fault for not checking but I don't stay in hotels/motels often. The lady at the front desk was very sweet...
People seem to dislike management here but we didn't have an issue with them. I came in having low expectations but I was completely wrong. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, and have wifi. There's a beautiful courtyard where you can relax after a long day. Since I'm tall the small washroom/shower was a slight issue. Obviously it's not a 4 star hotel but for what you pay for you will be pleasantly...

Stayed here a few times over the years - always a great stay! I’ll be sure to be back in the future. Great location in Stratford with the Main Street just a short walk away.
What an incredible place! This is the perfect spot for a weekend away in Stratford. The owner Tim is welcoming and takes the time to get to know his guest, making you to feel welcomed and at home. Also his recommendations for restaurants are superb! The rooms are uniquely designed making you feel like you’re living in your very own Shakespearean story. The Stone Maiden Inn will for sure be my go to...
Rooms were cute and cozy, with plenty of room and storage for our clothes. Breakfast room was bright and the food was delicious! Host and Staff were courteous, friendly and attentive to any of our needs. Site was convenient (5 minutes to downtown shops and theaters)and very quiet. Accordion window curtains blocked out any outside night lighting and the mattress was just right. All in all a very lovely...
My wife and I booked a weekend away for our anniversary at the Stone maiden inn and it exceeded out expectations. Upon arrival the we were greeted by Tim and felt very welcomed and showed us around. The place was well kept. We stayed in the Othello room it was big, beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. The common areas where lovely to hang out and in the morning we had the most delicious breakfast...
I was at the stone maiden inn for a baby shower. The rooms were beautiful with a lot of character. Everything seemed very clean. I'm not sure how much parking was available and that stressed me out a bit.
This is the perfect place to relax and be pampered by Tim, Chloe and the rest of the staff. Breakfast creations are amazing and the attention from all the staff is genuinely warm and inviting! Beautiful 1860's style Inn with plenty of grounds and a full size pool table to boot! Highly recommended!

Breakfast was excellent and plenty to eat! Loved the many options and little extras, home made jams, beautiful room to eat in.
We had such a great weekend. The house and grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, but the true beauty of our experience were our lovely hosts Ilya and Bruce. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend.
This is my favorite stay. We, two families 6 people, sightsee the Stratford city and luckily chose this county picturesque historic house. Llya is so nice and provided awesome hospitality to accommodate all of us. Just feel like a homecoming visit, cozy and considerate. Definitely we will come back in the future.
We, a family of five, visited Koch Haus B&B in the early July. The house is located in the picturesque countryside which is just a few minutes drive away from downtown Stratford. The drive towards there is just glorious, with endless green and yellow wheat fields, winding hilly countryside roads and peaceful farmlands with horses and cows. Our host and hostess are amazingly hospitable. The breakfast...
Just a simple delight. Our hosts welcomed us into their home as if we were old friends. The pioneer style stone house has been completely renovated but the feel of home and warmth remain. Fireplace crackling, massive round wooden table that invites relaxing conversation, large windows looking out onto the explosion of Autumn colours together with modern, but tastefully decorated bathrooms, bedrooms...

Location was good. Disappointed in bathroom amenities. No cup or body cream in bathroom. Keys did not work after we went out for dinner. That was annoying. Cleaning staff tried to enter at 10 am and woke us up. Beds were amazing and room was super clean.
The woman working the front desk when we checked in was so friendly and helpful she should be teaching classes on hospitality. The room was clean and comfortable. Amenities are great, especially for families. Not only do they have an indoor pool, but an arcade and a bowling alley in the basement. Loved it here and will definitely stay again.
I stayed here while my husband was having heart surgery at St.Mary’s Hospital which is just a 15 minute walk away. The staff were incredibly accommodating when I had to extend my stay multiple times. I was so impressed. The restaurant that is in the hotel, Aqua, is delicious, friendly servers, and fast service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, they treat you as if this is your home! From Sherry...
Hotel reception management need lessons on customer experience. Reception staff do not look you in the eye when you arrive - simply demand your name and ID. I get that kind of behaviour from a customs officer or police officer, not expecting it from “reception” on a 4 start hotel. Take note, Parking is in another building and can be confusing. Unfortunately, I took a ticket on entry and used it...
This is a very nice hotel in downtown Kitchener. Everything was clean and smelled great. The staff was very friendly and the food was also quite good. I would recommend them for their rooms and their event spaces.
Nice lobby and a nice bar restaurant. Service was good. Rates are reasonable. A bit of walking to the parking which is extra charge. We were in the older section in the rooms were a bit narrow and the bathroom was small no counter space - but the furniture and cleanliness and bedding was all quite good. Nice lobby and a nice bar and small restaurant. Service was good. Rates are reasonable. A bit of...
