This was our first time staying in a hotel above a restaurant. We were.a little nervous that it was going to be noisy with the bar below but it wasn't at all! Its a 14 room boutique with a private entrance. We had the king size room with fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. We got excellent service from Emily there, our server. She treated us respectfully and assured us our food was hot and catered to our needs most efficiently and promptly. Thank you, Mercer Restaurant, for hiring such excellent servers there.

The Mercer is right in the heart of the action on the main street in town so for me, a person visiting for work and zero night life, it gets a 3 whereas a party person would probably give higher stars for this spot. Great service and efficient staff. Was unable to try the onsite restaurant. Lots of quaint shops and other bars/eateries nearby but I didn't try any. Anyone that does not like climbing...
The service was very friendly and they really wanted to be of help. The room was beautiful, very pretty and clean. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and fun, and the hotel was in a perfect location for walking around Stratford for a weekend.
