Very nice room. Nice bed, but bed-clothes too heavy for the time of year/ current weather.

Charming little Inn! They made American feel very much at home. We’ll be back in a few days to end our stay in Germany and are looking forward to it. Elvis tribute made us feel even more welcome.

We stayed at the Drahthammer in 2008 & again in 2012.
The first time was for business, the second was pleasure.
It was a charming old hotel with modern convinces. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved our time there, and look forward to our next visit.

Celebrated on the weekend there is a wedding, very friendly staff,rooms very well maintained and clean. Has us very well fallen. A thank you to all who have contributed to the fact that we had a lovely Celebration.

Very nice Hotel, good Restaurant and good Breakfast, beautifully located on the outskirts of Ambeeg a small lake. The hotel rooms are spacious, cozy and beautiful. The price-performance ratio fits. All the best.

Varied, interesting and tasty Buffets, and fine A-la-Carte-card. The new chef comes from Michelin-starred restaurants and designs currently, a new menu to the Restaurant, his fine position to return, so that quality and level are sure to rise even further. Very beautiful spaces indoors and out, sitting on the terrace, very idyllic, with no car traffic, close to the river.

My husband and I went for the Friday night set menu. The experience was so special. All of the food was exquisite, the atmosphere was warm and romantic and the staff did an excellent job. Really a five star experience with a reasonable price tag here in the heart of Amberg.

We had dinner last night in the Wintergarten, the setting and decoration were beautiful, service and food mediocre, very disappointing!!!!
They had a large party on the patio which took all the server's attention, even the manager was there, leaving other tables without appropriate service for this kind of restaurant....I had the Italian buffet always served on Tuesday nights. The appetizers were greasy and tasteless, soup too salty, the main dishes had been sitting there for a while like the rest, looked accordingly and did not taste good.
My husband had the Argentinean Rump steak which was tough, grizzly and undercooked.
The only good item was the Spargel soup.
My little daughter got a kids menu at our arrival with the server's statement: "I'll bring you crayons to color if I can find some" of course she didn't...
Anyway to top it all off, I got violently sick as soon as I got home, probably something bad in the buffet....my guess the vitello tonato.
This was an overall bad experience and we'll not go back.
