Where to stay in Amberg

Lovely hotel, located a circa 20 minute walk from the centre of Amberg. Very comfortable, with friendly staff and good breakfast. Also, tremendous value.

Beautiful stay Beautiful property! The people working there were excellent and went out of their way to help with everything. My only complaints were that the internet was flaky and the room was very warm.

Located right by a lake with a terrace and plenty of outdoor seating. The room is large and tastefully furnished, as is the entire hotel. Everywhere there are green plants, sofas and beautiful tableaus. Friendly and welcoming staff everywhere. We will definitely come back.

Extremely warm welcome at reception with full information given about breakfast times, wifi, etc. The staff just couldn't do enough for the guests, from reception to service to housekeeping. Our waiter had a very wry sense of humour, which fit right in with us :) The room was impeccably clean and the bed so comfortable! Hotel Brunner is perfectly located in the old city center of Amberg, just 5-10 walking minutes away from many shops, restaurants and cafes. Nevertheless, it is a quiet location. The hotel staff is very friendly, and the check-in and-out fast. The rooms are new and very clean and tastefully decorated. The train station and taxis (if needed) are a 5 min walk. Parking is available. Breakfast is amazing...

One the most strange hotel I've ever been! It's an old prison which has been completely renovated and transformed into a bed and breakfast. We only stayed for one night so not a true impression of the Hotel. Our room had a bed surrounded with steel bars and steep steps up to the bed. I know its an old prison but for someone with mobility issues you are going to have a problem. The town is a nice place to visit for one night. The hotel has no parking of its own but there is a car park very close by.

Family style hotel, only 3 floors, maybe 10 rooms each floor. Breakfast was simple but good, they will make eggs. Parking lot is small. English is no problem. Modern bathroom(in room 23) and comfortable mattress.

This house was my default Inn for business travel in the Region of upper Palatinate. Sympathetic host, the dinner properly what is on the fork, the room cozy, clean and convenient, the Breakfast plentiful. Very recommendable house.

A very traditional and family run hotel in Konigstien which is close to Nuremberg. The hotel is situated in a quiet village, with open fields and forests in the background. Wonderful restaurant in Koenigstein. I did not stay in the Gasthaus but went to the restaurant often and was always pleased.

Nice hotel, very interestingly concentrated in the city center. I'm looking forward to coming here again in the summer, when everything is blooming and colorful. Stayed there for three months for work. Wonderful and attentive staff, clean and efficient rooms and absolutely delicious food and great beer! Parking can be a bit tricky and their internet is very secure, so some websites may not be accessible. Comfortable Home Away From Home This was my second extended business stay at Konigsteiner Hof. The owners and staff are friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I've only been here one night so far but I thoroughly enjoy the Konigsteiner Hof. The room is perfect and has exactly what I need. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the town of Konigstein provides as wonderful small town atmosphere.

This is a perfect place. Delicious breakfast for 6 euros and wonderful staff.

Location is not bad to access center of weiden but it's on a busy street. Traffic noise isn't too bad in winter when the windows are closed but can be loud when you open windows. Staff is very friendly and there's a little bar and breakfast area. Good price.

I've stayed there many times for business over the years and never had a problem. The staff is always professional and the breakfast is great. The rooms are big and spacious, like Americans are used to. Parking in the underground garage makes it super convenient to come and go. You are only a short 10minute walk from the town square. Very very clean and nice hotel. There is no reception, so you have to take your key with you, but very nice and friendly staff. Room was cold, bad insulation at the windows.

Beer and food are amazing. I ate the rum steak with butter and it is wonderful. The bacon chicken pan is out of control good...the schnitzel is top notch. They even make fresh kettle potato chips with a phenomenal dipping sauce.

For the price you can't complain. A more traditional Bavarian hotel. Friendly staff, older but tidy rooms. The main let downs, the pillows are really poor quality. And there is no parking so I had to park in another street away from the hotel which was not convenient. Over all though, a good stay

Nice hotel, especially for the cost. Bathroom was very up to date and cleaned. The room was of good size, considering it is an old building. Furniture was updated and in good repair. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel bar is great. Only drawback was the mattress, very thin and not very comfortable.

Very pleasant stay at Kloster St Josef Stayed 1 night whilst on a business trip. Was very pleasantly surprised by the serenity of the place and the good night's sleep I got. Spartan furnishings with no extra comforts, but everything was "just enough", the bed comfy and the breakfast good. Would recommend.

Barefoot clean, with a wonderful firm, simple (not memory foam!) mattress and roller shades for the best night's sleep in the calm quiet. In any case, the underground car park is not intended for hotel guests. Staff is perfect in service. Rooms are quite new an really nice. Restaurant is 👍. One negative point is, that they have chargers for electrical cars but this parking places are open for everybody. That is not a good solution. All 4 places where blocked by petrol cars. No chance to charge. Please think about that. You get room key through key box accesed via code sent by email so you can have acces to the room any time of the day or night.Very clean ,quitest airconditioning I have ever experienced,well isolated from any kind of noise,I slept better than in my own room.

Fantastic new facility, huge rooms, super clean and comfortable, wifi perfectly working, free underground parking. The hotel doesn’t offer the breakfast but you purchase it at the coffee/bakery place (seated) at the ground floor for good price, great choice and freshly baked pastry.
