Great! Very friendly hosts. Large room with especially comfortable beds. Clean everywhere. Very fair price. The best body wash (orange herb) of any place we stayed in the past two weeks.

We stayed there for one night. Everything went smoothly even though we arrived late in the evening.
Rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious and our host was very kind.

We stayed one night during our visit to Oberramergau, Ettal and Linderhof castle. The place was very easy to find. There are enough park spaces on both sides of the building. The host was very friendly and positive. He even gave our children some candies. It was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I recommend the place.

I was there in July 2022 for 2 nights with my family. The room was perfect. The bathroom was clean and the hairdryer was able there. Furthermore, breakfast was very tasty. As for the owners, they were very friendly and helpful. I can recommend this place.

Andrea of Alpen Gastehaus Gerold is the absolutely the best. We spent 8 glorious days and 7 nights in the Alpen Studio that had very comfortable beds with an amazing view of the Bavarian majestic mountains from our balcony. Everything you could need was provided and we really enjoyed making some of our meals in a well equipped kitchen. Their is a newly opened Edeka supermarket across the street too or treat yourself to Andrea's delicious breakfast. Everything is within close proximity making it easy to get around to all the wonderful places you may want to visit, especially taking in the Kurs, Moors & hiking. Andrea is always so gracious to help you with anything you might need and is great about emailing you back so your stay is very comfortable. Her English is wonderful and she has such patience and knowledge. Her beautifully maintained, decorated and clean guest rooms with full showers and amenities make this the place you want to definitely spend your next vacation at. Thank you Andrea for an awesome time.

Andrea and her family were absolutely lovely! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. The breakfast is insane; for 7 Euros you get pretty much all the bread, cheese, cold cuts, jams, etc that you could eat! They even provide little baggies if you wanted to make a sandwich to take along for lunch.
The rooms were also very neat and comfortable.
The only downside is that the hotel is right on the main road through town and depending on which room you have you really are right on the street, meaning that you get a lot of noise from passing cars and trucks. They do, however, provide ear plugs in the rooms. Also, if you close the windows then the noise isn't so bad.

Great place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was great, super helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is probably the best you'll get anywhere in Germany.

Rooms are nice and well maintained. They are all equipped with their own bathroom, most (if not all) have a balcony. There is also a TV in the room and there is WiFi access. It should be noted that WiFi reception varies greatly depending on where you are. Breakfast isn't included but is available and very generous (7€ / person per day). The owner is very nice and in addition to German can also speak English.

We were really satisfied when stayed in guest house Gerold. The staff was really friendly and pleasant, the room itself was absolutely nice and clean. A beautiful location.🌄 The rooms were good.🛏 Decent sized bathroom🛁 and a mini-fridge, and we had a little balcony to take in a more panoramic view🏞 of the amazing view of the mountains. In the morning the breakfast was a pretty standard☕ & The lady staff were very nice friendly as well. 😊😊
