Great spa hotel with the BEST breakfast buffet EVER!! The spa was also great. Nothing like leaving your room in a bathrobe and walking to a HUGE spa with everything you need. The only downside is the bar. It is VERY small and understaffed.

Excellent hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, the rooms are large and comfortable the the breakfast and dining facilities are fantastic.

The room was very big which we liked a lot, the bathroom however as a little too tiny but overall very nicely. We also liked to have a second sink in the room which was more comfortable than in other stays.

Einzig für mich war es etwas vom Nachteil am Berg zu wohnen, da ich vor dem Frühstück gerne eine Runde joggen gehe. War aber nicht schlimm, dann ist die Runde etwas kürzer ausgefallen.

I've been here many times. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are OK except the furniture that looks like an horror movie from the '70s. In some rooms the WiFi has very weak signal and in general it's not fast.

A good hotel in good location. Breakfast was not included in price but is optional. The Canadian exchange rate made it a little pricey for the cost of breakfast if you are a light eater. I have stayed at this hotel twice on business and it is the most satisfying hotel in Germany. The view from the top floor windows is fantastic. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent, as well as the quality of the breakfast. Most importantly, the refrigerator and free minibar are a big help for me. The ambience fits. You can tell that the country inn doesn't want to be a typical Franconian restaurant, which you can also tell when eating. Unfortunately the quality of the food varies depending on how busy it is as there is only one waiter and one chef. In summer you can relax in the garden with a beer. All in all well worth a visit.

The food (lunch on Sunday) was delicious. Very well seasoned sauces, tender meat, decent portions, fast friendly service and fair prices. The only downside: the very cool-looking light unfortunately creates an uninviting atmosphere in the otherwise beautiful and renovated guest rooms. Maybe exchange a few new LED bulbs with warm light for the old energy-saving bulbs and there will be 5 stars.

Very good home cooking, you can't complain. The portions are more than sufficient. The service area should be rated with 6 stars. Street food or food to order and collection is also great. Delicious Franconian food and even for vegetarians there is always at least 1 dish on the menu, which is not the case in most traditional restaurants. Even when it was busy, the waitresses were always friendly and courteous and even the toilet area is modern and clean.

The hotel is wonderful, with friendly staff and more than enough to get by. There is a supermarket about 1km away and a few restaurants close by. The old town is a bit far away with about 2.2km walk until you reach it. When you get to the old town there are wonderful restaurants and shops all along the roads. Really enjoyed the town!

Very good value for money! My family and I enjoyed both the comfortable room and high quality breakfast. We've been in Bamberg B&B. The position is ok: there is a bus line connecting to the city center in 10 minutes, and we found a parking spot on the street. The room was clean, modern and essential.

After reading some other reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but parking was not a problem. Checkin went easily. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is pretty awesome. We spent two days walking around Bamberg after leaving our car in the hotel parking area and though we logged over 23 km during those two days I'd still say anything you want to see is within walking distance.

The property was very clean. The breakfast was tasty and well presented. Even though the water in the room was not hot, I would reccomend this hotel to other solo travelers.

The stay was excellent and breakfast plentiful and enjoyable It is a short 20 minutes walk into town which is just as well because in the heat or rain it is all but impossible to order a taxi even though the hotel staff tried their best. The only criticism of the hotel is that although I did not want my sheets changed daily, I would have at least wanted the bed made each day.

A review of an overnight stay at Hotel Krone A wonderful stay at this olde worlde charm hotel. Frau Brendel makes one feel most welcome. The hotel is ideally situated diagonally across the road from the impressive basilica, 30metres from bus station and also 30metres from the (helpful) Tourist Office. The breakfast (included in the hotel tariff) was hearty.

Everything about the property was nice but the older staff member was nice but wasn’t very friendly about me not wanting to take the rest of my food with me because it would go bad before I could finish it. The young staff member girl with black hair was very helpful and understanding about my difficulties figuring out how the keys and parking worked.

Commenting on the Hotel restaurant, they serve authentic German and Bavarian food even outside of the usual tourist season. I really loved their Schäufle and their Bavarian sausages. You can order local Frankonian beer here as well if you're searching for that. Definitely a nice place to fill your stomach after hiking in the area.
