Hotel La Mer in Bad Zwischenahn

Once and never again. First of all, we got what was probably the noisiest room ever. Right next to the swimming pool, where the pump kept us awake all night. I don't understand why breakfast is always so praised. Breakfast doesn't start until 8:00 a.m. Then you have to decide whether you want breakfast at 8:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. You can't choose your seat in the breakfast room either. There, too, we got the worst table. Everyone who comes into the room walks straight to the table. Since there was a whole bus full of people with walking frames in the hotel at the same time, and it's already tight next to the buffet table, several people bumped their walking frames into our chairs. The coffee was just colored water, the bread so old it was already curling and dry at the sides, the rolls were pre-baked rolls that were still ice cold on the inside and the cold cuts and cheese were pre-packaged goods from the discount store, the scrambled eggs in the small bowl were sitting in 4 cm of yellow water on Saturday, but on Sunday there were no scrambled eggs at all. The boiled eggs were deep blue and the grapes had to be picked up from the buffet with a cake fork so you couldn't take too many. The minibar wasn't refilled during room cleaning. We weren't even informed about the drinks fridge in the bar. The shower is just a tiny bit bigger than a sink. You have to contort yourself to get in and out.
