This hotel is very beautiful, but food is very limited with little variety. The breakfast was just different types of granola, eggs, lunch meat, and rolls! No toast or pastries which was very odd. The restaurant at night offers salads, fish, and chicken all with risotto which was also bizarre since most German food comes with potatoes. Besides lacking in food choices, this hotel has tons of stairs...

Will do for one night stay. Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff. Room basic, no doors to the bathroom.... No WiFi in the room. Hot breakfast rather limited.

It was one night stay doing long drive through the europe, but we liked and will go next time for longer. Big and tidy rooms , wonderful stuff. Wonderful countryside views. Positive

Very friendly staff, they did everything to make our stay memorable. We travelled with two dogs, and they were really kind to them too. Excellent food in the restaurant that really exceeded our expectations. Vegetarian and even vegan options, which is not a given in Germany. Beautiful location in a little village surrounded by hills and forests. In summary: highly recommended!

I have been here for 5 weeks because of work. It really felt like home or even better! The hotel is located beautifully and it has everything you need and more. Returning to Hotel Zur Post is always a treat: the hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Feel free to ask at the desk for anything, even for places to visit in the area - we had a lady explain to us every step to reach a certain viewpoint, she even drew us a hand drawn map which was insanely adorable! The rooms are clean and spacious, this includes the bathroom which features all amenities...

Relativ großes Hotel. Ich war in etwa 4 unterschiedlichen Zimmern. Alles soweit sauber und gepflegt. Zimmereinrichtung und Bad würde ich mal auf Mitte/Ende 80er Jahre schätzen. Fernseher klein, teilweise noch Röhre. Restaurant und Frühstück gut. WLAN kostenlos aber von wechselhafter Qualität. Die Zimmer hatten alle einen kleinen Schreibtisch mit Steckdose.

Very pleasant little hotel! The owners are a bit older, but they are always friendly and hospitable! The rooms are clean, there are minor signs of use here and there, but nothing that limited the functionality. We had a room with a balloon. It wasn't particularly big, but it offered enough space for two and was well worth the € 80! The breakfast was excellent and the owner's little wire-haired dachshund...

Long-established inn with really super hospitable owners. The rooms are actually so clean that you can almost eat off the floor. No dirt, no mold in the corners .. just great!

I stayed at this hotel last year. Overall, it was okay, for the money you pay, don't expect too much. It doesn't belong to the category of establishments I would rate with 4 or 5 stars. The food is okay. As for the staff, you might be used to a cold attitude, but for me, it was fine. I can't say they were overly friendly or accommodating. The spa center was also okay, nothing special compared to hotels...

Amazing hotel and experience. The spa is beautiful and very clean with great views over the lake. Hotel service was very professional and they were able to cater food for my gluten free & nut allergy requests. Only thing in my opinion that let the room down slightly was the aircon not working, tv was difficult to work and pillows were not great, however still a top stay!!

I would have given this Hotel full 5 stars but unfortunately there are some big flaws which is unacceptable when considering the price of the room/food etc. 1. Very nice house right on the beautiful Sorpesee. Rooms are good, as are the facilities, there is an artificial turf soccer field, table tennis, air hockey and direct access to the lake. Food is ok. However, the employees are not very friendly, you feel more like a disruptive factor. After 10 p.m. there must be absolute silence and every drink is expensive to buy on site, otherwise there will be trouble...

I stayed here for two weeks. I shared a twin room but got a good look at the single, 5 bed and 6 bed rooms as well. Lake fronting rooms have a spectacular view and are also a bit quieter than the parking lot facing rooms. Twin rooms overlooking the football pitch can be a bit noisier. This DJH provided linen. Great equipment for younger ones too. Spent a very wet weekend here and the kids had enough to do. 2 play rooms and a toddler sized play climbing frame just outside for when the rain stops briefly.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast. I had a single room, which was the typical German single room with a single bed pushed against the wall. For the price perfectly fine! There restaurant is nice, the staff friendly. It'll be my choice to stay, when I'm back in Meden.

Excellent hospitality! We were warmly welcomed by the staff, it felt like home. Rooms are very comfy and clean and food was delicious! We'll be back for sure!

The breakfast was gigantic. In the breakfast room there is a freezer with excellent cold cuts. My first impression was that it was a farm shop. But no, it wasn't like that. These cold cuts are for the guests. The nice hosts cut as much of each variety as you want (there was also real Parma ham). We were extremely impressed by this generosity and friendliness and will definitely be back. Many Thanks

Good base for excursions into the surrounding area. Delicious breakfast. Overall very clean. Somewhat old furniture, but well maintained, bathroom almost new. Parking available at the back of the hotel.

We were touring through Germany and came across the Landgasthof Kleiner, a very pleasant, clean and friendly Hotel in Stockum. The food was good and easy parking outside the Hotel. We managed to fit a it of walking on some of the local trails adjacent to the Hotel as well. Well worth a visit and hopefully we will return again in the future.

A family company with heart and soul. Great rooms and really fabulous cuisine. Unbelievable when you consider that the lady of the house herself cooks everything in the kitchen for several guests at the same time.

We booked here spontaneously for a night in a weekend (with a-year-old baby). Especially the kitchen (chef is mother of the owner's family) was fantastic. Kid's meal request was perfectly interpretated, shared sermon dish as a starter was beautifully separated into two at the dinner without asking, and the special cake on the Easter and homemade bread at the breakfast buffet were specially delicious...
