I stayed at this hotel last year. Overall, it was okay, for the money you pay, don't expect too much. It doesn't belong to the category of establishments I would rate with 4 or 5 stars. The food is okay. As for the staff, you might be used to a cold attitude, but for me, it was fine. I can't say they were overly friendly or accommodating. The spa center was also okay, nothing special compared to hotels...

Amazing hotel and experience. The spa is beautiful and very clean with great views over the lake. Hotel service was very professional and they were able to cater food for my gluten free & nut allergy requests. Only thing in my opinion that let the room down slightly was the aircon not working, tv was difficult to work and pillows were not great, however still a top stay!!

I would have given this Hotel full 5 stars but unfortunately there are some big flaws which is unacceptable when considering the price of the room/food etc. 1. We were touring through Germany and came across the Landgasthof Kleiner, a very pleasant, clean and friendly Hotel in Stockum. The food was good and easy parking outside the Hotel. We managed to fit a it of walking on some of the local trails adjacent to the Hotel as well. Well worth a visit and hopefully we will return again in the future.

A family company with heart and soul. Great rooms and really fabulous cuisine. Unbelievable when you consider that the lady of the house herself cooks everything in the kitchen for several guests at the same time.

We booked here spontaneously for a night in a weekend (with a-year-old baby). Especially the kitchen (chef is mother of the owner's family) was fantastic. Kid's meal request was perfectly interpretated, shared sermon dish as a starter was beautifully separated into two at the dinner without asking, and the special cake on the Easter and homemade bread at the breakfast buffet were specially delicious...

Great Rooms designed with some african decoration and so is the hole Hotel. I was fascinated by it. The only bad thing is that there was no cleaning service for my room , since i stayed for two nights i needed a change of towel unfortunately that service wasn t provided . The hotel is quite central in town, but inside it's very quiet. Staff was nice and helped us check in although we were actually too early. Great little room very quiet, just what you need when your travelling with work and feeling tired WiFi has a great connect and location is good to grab a bite, plenty of pizza and kebab shops if you want something quick or restaurants. Hotel was very tidy clean and welcoming.

Such a great experience. Marcel and the owner are so nice and accommodating. The breakfasts are hearty and tasty. It's a very genuinely German experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the wifi is solid. Such a friendly place.

Appropriate price-performance ratio. Tidy rooms, clean and all in all okay. Parking spaces can become scarce. Breakfast is sufficient. Pizzeria across the street and a pleasant place with good cuisine next to the hotel.

I stayed here for one night last weekend with a group of 6 men on a bicycle tour. For our purpose this was exactly the right place. Self-check-in, late arrival, secure bike garage and a good breakfast buffet deserve a good review. One problem with one of our 3 rooms was dealt with in a professional manner, even so there was no staff on site. Overall good value for the money!

A very nice, clean, and unique small hotel. The location is also great as there is a forest next to the hotel which is perfect if you love nature. I went for a jogging there and it was relaxing and quiet. Books are everywhere in the hotel, also some are in English. They have a small sauna at the hotel if you need a time to relax. Highly recommended.

Location, interior and service are very good. Reception is bad and Wifi is mediocre, but not exactly required features for a Hotel based on literature, reading and relaxation. The Literaturhotel Franzosenhohl hits the mark on everything it wants to be.

Oh... speechless...what a hotel... located among maple trees... quite and peaceful away from any pollution...5 minutes drive from iserlohn railway station... squeaky clean washrooms and linen...super friendly staff...nice English breakfast...the omelettes were great...lots of books arranged all round the hotel..

Had a great 1 night stay booked a forest view room but asked if it was possible to upgrade to valley view receptionist was very helpful and arranged for us to move rooms nothing seemed to much trouble, evening meal was delicious and breakfast was also very good, looking forward to staying here again, peaceful location with lots of walks and close to the town.

We have stayed at Haus Berghoff from April 19th to 21st, 2022. We traveled as a couple with a child of primary school age. The house is idyllic and quiet. We really enjoyed that. The reception by Mr. Berghoff (junior) was very taciturn but nice. He doesn't seem like your typical host but that was fine with us. We were escorted to the room and everything was explained to us. We stayed in the Wells Suite...

Very nice apartment in a very quiet location with a great roof terrace and a view of the mountain and horse meadow. Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful hosts. The wellness area is about a too small when fully occupied and the cooling pool was only filled up to calf height. Daa could be better. Still, we'd love to come back.

Lovely clean friendly near the town center very enjoyable

Stayed for 1 night in the family room. The room was clean and well managed with beautiful view. 👌 Even though it's a small hotel, the staffs were well trained and very kind. Be aware that there's no elevator in the building. Also, can access to town center in 5 min. by driving.

A very nice hotel with beautiful grounds and a great restaurant. Very close to the motorway so no time is wasted if your stop is part of a longer journey but still very peaceful. One of the most comfortable beds my wife and I have ever slept in. Strongly recommended!

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was absolutely picturesque, and the hotel grounds were breathtaking. A really interesting combination of old German charm with a modern flare. We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and both meals were great. If I’m ever in the area again I will consider Gut Kump a must stay location.

Positively surprised . Arrived late evening when dining area was already closed ,asked for any option on buying a tea. Consierge prepared 2 for me and my wife even that wasn't of his duties. Hospitality at the top level.

The hotel is located not far from the motorway. The parking is free The building seems to be of the sturdy German construction, located in a quiet part of the village. The check-in was absolutely great! No doubts there. We had checked in close to 9 pm and the hotel restaurant was slated to take the last order by 9 pm. She had informed them of our arrival and got them to wait!!! This is absolutely brilliant...

We were in Dortmund for a wedding and stayed here for one evening. Upon arrival the host was very friendly. He could communicate in English and told us everything we might need to know. The hotel has closed WiFi - you receive the password at check-in. The bed was very comfortable and the room standard. The bathroom has lots of mirrors and everything you might need. The bathroom was clean, but lots of house spiders who also felt at home there. Shower comfort is just sufficient. Breakfast and service is good. Overall, the price-quality ratio is fine.

Incredibly friendly and cozy here... The food is really delicious, especially the salads... The rooms and the house are very rustic and therefore extremely comfortable... The scenic view and this idyll let you relax very quickly come... The hospitality of the Weber family is really nice... You feel very welcome here 😊

The cleaness of the hotel is normal. The hotel staff is supportive. The breakfast is good. There is a very good restaurant near the hotel (Restaurant Aloisius, 5min walk from the hotel).

Brilliant overnight stop at Hotel Susato. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay at a great price. Good parking, friendly service, a clean comfortable room and a good breakfast buffet. We also ate an evening meal in the restaurant, very good unpretentious cooking, attentive service and good value for money. Recommended.

Hotel Susato is just south of the nice old centre of Soest where once every couple of years the spectacular Soester Fehde (Feud) medieval festival takes place. Next to the hotel is a large parking place (P2) and on the other side of the ring road there is a nice park where part of the festival takes place when that’s on. Staff was friendly and helpful on all levels My room in the hotel was nice...

We used this hotel as a stopover travelling from the Eurotunnel at Calais and onwards to Bavaria. This was our first time here although we have been making this journey over the last 25 years. Nice hotel in a nice location on the outskirts of Schwerte. The reception is well laid out, staff are attentive and rooms are clean and functional. My only grip is that, there is no blinds in the bathroom so when the sun comes up, it wakes you up irrespective of whether the curtains are closed or not. There is a great pub a hundred metre down the road, and has some fantastic meals available.

Great hotel, everything complete, not much to complain about except the pillows 1 a little small and soft for my taste and the supplement for the dog very excessive.....Parking 1 a little far away. Otherwise the rooms are large and well equipped. The full European breakfast, not just German....

Passing through and with little choice and exorbitant prices everywhere, I came across this magnificent hotel by chance, located not far from the highway. Very large, fully equipped room, same bathroom, nothing to complain about. Hearty and complete breakfast with very good service. Very good night spent.....Just 30€ for the dog supplement is excessive even for a hotel of this category. Perfect welcome...

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in April in this very nice small hotel. We had a large room in the new building next to the old hosue with the restaurant. The interior including the bathroom was very modern and worked very well. Very little noise from other guests or from the traffic. Breakfast was traditionally German, fresh and delicious.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer modern und sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen.

The building was big and open, outside is a nice walking route behind the carpark, free car park was a great touch, bakery & restaurant down stairs in the main part off the building

This gem of a place is located in the outskirts of Dortmund. The quality of food is very good with lots of Vegetarian options and salads. Their breads are awesome 👌

Recommended for those who has stay for the nearby offices like Delta. Old rooms. Non-German speakers would face little problem while communicating with few staffs. However staffs are very nice. Some kind of noise may disturb you in few rooms.

The room is spacious, the interior is tasteful, the design is luxurious, overall we were happy with the room. But the air-conditioning was very weak, and the fan wasn’t even provided. The safe didn’t work. The service was ok. The location was good. The breakfast service team had difficulty to keep up with the busy breakfast crowd. We found it a pity that there’s no fridge, no kettle no coffee machine...

Unexpected gem! Excellent room. Five star, modern amenities in a very clean and spacious room. Modern bathroom with hair dryer provided. Have travelled all over Europe and United States and did not expect such modern amenities in such a quaint, small German town. Truly lovely.

Very nice property. They should however update their information to say that they do not have breakfast on Monday. It was hard to check in after hours as it could not find my reservation without trying multiple times before finally getting the information I needed and checked in

It is a well equipped, big hotel complex, conveniently located in walking distance to central Hagen. Interior is a bit aged, but still in good shape and clean. Hotel staff are very friendly.
