Visited Bodenwerder and stayed here. My family immigrated to Texas 183 years ago from here so wanted to see where I came from. Hotel was so awesome!!! Breakfast incredible. Evenings drinking beer and wine by the river. Such a wonderful place and experience. Thank you Hotel Anker!!

I stayed here whilst working in Germany, It's a lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting. Rooms are very nice and the staff are also very nice. I enjoyed staying here and loved my time in Germany. I hope to return again.

Good hotel, clean and nice rooms. The restaurant is ok, but closes a bit early.

We were very excited. Super delicious food! Many thanks to the very nice and above all friendly service. They know how to treat guests here. We'll be back and more often!

The good first: The food was actually tasty. 👍🏻 We had reserved a table for 6 and could already read through the window on the remains of an internal event, where there are still teething troubles everywhere! 😉 And that still needs to be worked on. Drinks and appetizers came relatively quickly, but the kitchen was completely overwhelmed with our 6 main courses. We received them after about 2 hours...

Nice restaurant, small town and good fish

We were there with our Youngtimer IG, everyone was satisfied. It is rustic and in a great location right on the Weser. The breakfast is very varied. The staff very nice. You can also have dinner there very well. It is very quiet, surrounded by nature on one side and a beautiful old town on the other.

In the middle of lunchtime with a large rush super nice and very good service. Tasty beers, just during the bike tour, are just as much a part of it as a big meal on the terrace when the weather is good.

Food is amazing, went there with hubby few days ago. We both ordered rump steak. Let me tell you, this stake was cooked to perfection 😍 soo soo tasty. We recommend it to anyone. And staff is very friendly. We are coming back for more 😁😁

Breakfast was wonderful. Hosts were polite and accommodating. Close by restaurants. Rooms are clean but dated.

It is nice place with very delicious food in the restaurant. Breakfast is good, too. The unconvenient part is the key for the room. It is a key not a card..and they are even 2 keys - one for the room and the other for the back side door. The rooms are clean.

On our Weser mountain country Tour, we have also made a short Stop in the Hotel's colorful rock. Our bicycles we were able to Park in a Garage. The Hotel is kept clean and the rooms are renovated. It is a very good hotel and believe me I stayed in a lot of hotels. The room is small but very clean, with furniture in good shape. Overall is looking very good. I had also a big led TV with 100 programs, not only the ten boring german programs that all the hotels have. Internet works ok, five stars.

Pleasant Hotel in a beautiful city, but slightly Outside the centre in a quiet location. Price is very Interesting. Breakfast buffet is rich.

This Hotel is located quasi in the middle in the green. You realize that it is owner-managed. Although the rooms are not modern but has everything you need man. Clean they are also. The in-house Bistro, there are 18 at a few things for the small and big Hunger. I'll be back!

Stayed for an event at the nearby community center. Had heard how wonderful this hotel is. My friends did not lie. The most unbelievable family owned establishment. The staff for the hotel and restaurant were so accommodating. The food was as wonderful as I had heard it would be. I am from the Southern USA and we pride ourselves on hospitality. A small, slightly dated no-frills place with a very personal touch. Located at the green outskirts of Bad Pyrmont and 15 minutes walk to the center. Excellent service, lovely breakfast, great value. No credit cards accepted. Not your typical business trip hotel, but I absolutely enjoyed my three-day stay here.

Very old fashioned but also very clean and comfy beds.

Stayed here while traveling with work, had room 19 which was more like a suite to be fair it was a double bedroom, separate lounge area and bathroom. The shower could do with renervation the shower drips all night however shutting the door solves it overall stay was fine. Little difficult being English because unfortunately front desk didn’t speak even basic.

Great place to stay, top quality room with heating floors, walk in shower is pretty although it overflows easily but can get new towels If needed. Bikes are free with the hotel which is great for getting around, although staff dont know a lot of english they try to help as much as possible, second time here as partner insisted on staying here again as she fell in love with it

Loved our last stay in very spacious luxury room. Very well situated near the town centre. Coming again in August would like to know how much it is to hire 2 bikes from the hotel?

Very nice little hotel close to the old city - 5 to 10 minutter walk. We got a family suite with two rooms and two bathrooms. Access to a very nice terrace. Details in the rooms revealed that the build ingen was old, but every thing had been nicely restored. Very nice breakfast and very friendly service. All in all a place we would not hesitate to return to.

I'm still a guest in this hotel, and it's amazing, very close to everything, walking distance from the historical center. I recomend strongly this hotel.

Lovely owners. Great place to store the bikes. The only room on our trip with a tub for an after ride day soak. Fantastic breakfast as well.

Booked as an overnight stop between Berlin and Europoort. What a choice! Spotless, just been done up, huge comfy quiet room, lift if you need it, friendly staff, all of them, decent breakfast. Location bang close to town centre, armed with supplied map explored the historic town littered with 3/4 hundred year old buildings. Parking on site, what more do you need?

Breakfast was nice, room is big, very near to the old town. No elevator and reception is in second floor so may be hard for traveler with heavy suitcase.

We spent four nights at the Hotel an Der Altstadt and the hotel cannot be faulted for cleanliness and order. The staff were particularly friendly and most of them spoke excellent English. The breakfasts were also excellent. On our final day we had to leave very early to catch a train and breakfast was still provided even though it was much earlier than the stipulated hours. Top marks for service...

Big rooms and delicious breakfast

The breakfast is Wow: Marvelous, very tasty, and high quality. Everything was home made and so nice. 6 people taking very good care of us. Friendly and very observant. Mint tea on fresh herbs, and amazing pear, avocado, pine nuts and olive oil salat. So Jummy. We had rooms at street level. People walking by can look in and some talked to us! Privacy: not really.

Well located, clean hotel, giving you the experience of an old school German house. My wife and I stayed in the old town cradle on September 28th, 2021 during a bike tour on the Weserradweg. The staff was very accommodating. The room was clean and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent and sufficient in everything. At any time during a stay in Hameln.

Really cute hotel on a nice smaller street, kind and helpful staff. Lavish breakfast and one of a kind rooms, some with weird window glass others old timey and cosey, in our room we could hear those above us from time to time... Doesn't matter that much though. Parking behind the building Would probably stay there again

Very good location. A bit noisy due to the main street in front and construction site at the back. Average 4* breakfast. Nice terrace. No air conditioning. Rooms need a make-over. Friendly service but not enough staff in all areas.

Very satisfied, very clean and tidy, and the service is attentive. It is very close to tourist attractions and is only a short walk away. It is especially suitable for family travel, and parents and children can visit the historical sites together.

During my recent stay at the Hotel for a Seminar, there were discrepancies in room size and amenities despite uniform pricing for overnight stays, with some rooms lacking in comfort. Irma Grese lived here a couple of days after her trial. Than went straight to the gallows. Her body rested in the courtyard of this prison- now hotel. Poor girl. I do not believe her body was exhumed. Rest In peace _ Irma :)

Not bad, hotel in centrum, breakfast good, kitchen not tried, room was was clean, not renovated for some time (bad shower), but very bad (in room 210) was noise from room next to our - very thin (paper?) walls!

Comfortable hotel on the edge of the old town. Nicely situated next to a park and the market. Not the cheapest. Room was clean, had a nice view. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and the choice in food and beverages was quite large. Parking space at the hotel is limited but free parking is available in the area. Also a parking garage is situated right next to the hotel under the market square...

The advertise with free parking. In reality they have 10 free parking spots divided on 100 rooms. We had to go to a public parking space. There was some noise in the room. One could hear the piping very well. Swimming pool was old and needed tlc. Friendly staff and exelent breakfast saved our experience.

A nondescript hotel in a very quiet town. Rats and pipers everywhere (of course) and cubicle rooms have little style, but clean, good shower and good (hassle free, no cost) Wi-Fi. Can't ask for more as a business traveller.

The hotel seems to be on the low end what Mercure can offer in their chain. There is good breakfast though.

We stayed for a week. Hotel Wifi is unstable (disconnected frequently) and unfortunately the mobile network is also poor due to the room's location. We all have faced the same issue. When we complained at reception, she responded that she also faces the same issue in her computer. Until the good wifi is not re-established, I would recommend not to book the rooms.

We went there as a couple with a dog, the welcome was fantastic. We could easly communicate as the personn at the reception could speak also French.

The hotel is full of dolls, so may be a little bit creepy, especially at the evening ;) However, very good location and nice hosts.

My wife and I loved everything. Clean rooms, clean bathroom everything is cleaned daily. Delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of rolls and scrambled eggs. Very attentive staff. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and always tried to please everyone. The location of the hotel is highly recommended due to its central location, whether young or old. We would love to spend our vacation there...

After something went wrong with a booking at another hotel, we got a very comfortable double room on the spur of the moment. Furniture partly a bit old-fashioned but everything was clean and intact. Flexible check-in and check-out was possible and we were able to leave our luggage there for longer on the day of departure.

Is centrally located, is clean and there is a good breakfast!
