Wir waren eine der ersten Gäste dort und wurden sehr herzlich vom Personal empfangen. Die Lobby wirkt liebevoll und einladend eingerichtet. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wir haben uns wirklich sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Hier werden wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Esslingen definitiv wieder buchen.

Zentrale Lage, günstiger Preis, viele Parkplätze 13 €, Hund erlaubt, 10 -15 €. Neu renoviert, große Zimmer. Kommen gerne wieder.

Was a shiny gem in a dumpy part of town. Is still pretty modern, but starting to feel dated. Very large rooms. Underground, on site parking. As with all hotels in Europe, I need to take a star away for having no air conditioning. Cute, storybook neighborhood with good restaurants close by. Had a refrigerator (finally!)

Great hotel. Best of all where I ever stayed. Great location in the very heart of Historical downtown Esslingen. Offers perfect options for breakfast with lot of vegetarian stuff. Breakfast is included all you can eat. Rooms are clean. Bar is open late if not 24hrs. If you stay there in summer you may request a portable air conditioner (no central air conditioning in the building). Iron is available...

Dieses Hotel ist sehr sauber und freundlich. Das Restaurant, das sie vor Ort haben, ist immer flexibel bei Ihren Wünschen. Am meisten habe ich die Gastfreundschaft genossen! Fühlte mich sehr wohl hier für meine 3 Wochen und so weiter während eines Besuchs in Süddeutschland. Ich würde es jedem empfehlen, der in dieser Gegend bleiben möchte, besonders weil es so nahe an den historischen Teilen Deutschlands...

Most of all I enjoyed the hospitality! Felt very comfortable staying here for my 3 weeks off and on while visiting southern Germany. I would recommend his to any one wanting to stay in this area, especially since it's so close to the historic parts of Germany. The best hotel in Esslingen. Nice rooms, great breakfast, excellent service, good restaurant... just not a single reason to complain... well...

Nice and friendly Hotel with all facilities. Would be great if we also could get a bite to eat on monday evenings as well, however we found a top restaurant in Gasthaus Rössle only a small walk away.

Amazing potential at the right time of year. The hotel itself was a incredible hotel unfortunately the town was empty with no one around. I think we were the only people at the hotel and the restaurant adjoining the hotel was not open. It really had a lot of charm and the swimming pool / spa area was amazing. This place is great! So quiet! We had a lovely sleep. Staff are great , beds are comfortable and the restaurant is SO good!! Totally recommend!

The spa was a big plus with a reasonably sized 10 metre pool. Although fairly far out of Stuttgart, it is accessible by bus and train . The main football stadium is halfway between the city and hotel. Very good buffet breakfast and a bar that is open until fairly late. There are some interesting places to visit nearby.

Esslingen Lovely hotel. Close to public transport. Esslingen is a special place. Lots to see. Lots of eating options in the Old Town and near our hotel.

At Hotel Am Berg I met welcoming staff and got a nice clean room with a comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom. Minibar and a working desk is a plus. My room was in a next door building, but no stress. OK breakfast.

The hotel is very far from anywhere. ————————————- I had a room directly across from the school. There, the children were already busy playing on the playground from 7:30 a.m.

Stayed here with some colleagues in the beginning of November. The room was nice and modern and the breakfast was quite OK. There is a balcony overlooking Esslingen below with a fantastic view. The downside is no restaurant and no local pub. The reception closes at 18:00 and there is no seating area after that.

Very nice room, very modern and up to date. On the side of a steep hill, so driving and parking can be a little nerve racking for we Americans used to larger roads and parking lots, but still very nice.

Overall a good place. Located just outside the old town in the university area. Just be aware that you have to park at a nearby underground parking garage, no parking on site. The room was very pleasant. Great bed and warm water for showers. Breakfast was great too, and check in and out, was a breeze. A great place to stay over the weekend, very close to the city old center, climate friendly (the hotel produces his own electricity). A very tasty breakfast made out of bio and local products.

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is stunning and it itself is a reason to go there. We got there very late and the key box worked very well. Even if your destinatin is Stuttgart you should consider staying here.

Very cheap place. It was ok. No air conditioning in the room, it is an absolute melting box in the summer. Unbearable. Also, no where in the hotel to get a cold drink, not even water, once reception closes.

Room was just great - very new/modern bathroom, king size bed, heaps of space (which was great as we had a Portacot with us)

Simple and clean property. Our room was very dark and a bit outdated. An average stay overall.

We stayed as a family for 2 nights. Walking distance (8 minutes) to the town square with the Christmas markets. You can walk to the train and bus station. We timed it without bags, and it was just over 1 kilometer and took 10 minutes walk. Would be slightly more with bags. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would go back.

I stayed 6 nights here while visiting a friend who lives here. I cannot overstate how nice all staff were. I liked the room too, very comfortable bed. It had a lift area and I recommend getting a room with a third bed in the loft, it allows one or two to spread out if traveling and need space. They have a good breakfast buffet too that is included. I have not being staying in the hotel, just had two lunches in the restaurant. The food could only be characterized as OK. The kaesespaetzle were far from the best I've had but definitely not the worst (4/5). The turkey steak was a completely different story. The meat itself was juicy, the seasoning was not great but not bad either, and the side dish was a disaster - the potato croquettes were fried...

Although it's about 14km outside of Stuttgart, the hotel is great all around, clean, big rooms, great staff, free parking, free wi fi, quite! Close to the Stuttgart airport, not easy to find, but it's accessable from 3 different ways, I would definitely stay here again

Lovely Hotel, very friendly staff. Best choice if you need to be really close to the airport. Not sure if its good for visiting Stuttgart as it is relatively far away from the city center.

Staff is wonderful and very accommodating. The dinners are superb. There are options if you don't like pork. They offer duck, turkey and seafood. Although there is are few other restaurants or sites to see within walking distance, there is a small creek with a walking path. I felt safe during the day to walk my dog. Mercedes-Benz Museum is close by. Also an indoor shopping center with a grocery store...

Rooms were a bit outdated for price. Not much is within the area of the hotel, but the staff was wonderful.

Am Buchwald is located away from Esslingen Mitte and offer a quiet and pleasant environment for overnight rest. The rooms are also conducive and offers a comfortable mattress.

Always a highlight. Best location in the Schurwald (forest), with great views on fields and nature, in fresh air, above the beautiful city of Esslingen. Creative shower cabin solutions (as long as one fits in).

This is a very modern hotel/restaurant housed in an old traditional building. Great staff and food. The area is rural but with lots to see and do. The rooms are excellent. Comfortable and well appointed. if I were to suggest improvements, about the only things that would be nice to have in the rooms would be a tea kettle and clothes iron.

Very pleasant hotel and friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was quite nice. Esslingen is a jewel if you like an old medieval town that extends beyond belief. We did great hikes in the local vineyards. Thanks.

E-bookers had a bug in reservation concerning price of breakfast. Hotel managed it well and we didn’t have to pay extra and got even free parking. Great job and service!

We only went there to eat. Everyday they have salad bar and a different main course all you can eat buffet. Nice outside seating.

Good place to stay for short or long journeys, when you are not pretentious and not necessarily looking for sophistication, but rather minding your own pocket. Good deal for the money, practical, comfortable and well situated.

I had a big room with kitchen, the bathroom also roomy. Everything os vlean an tidy. The breakfast is abudant, although the vegs and fruits are not in focus. The staff is helpful.

Modern, clean hotel. Bright rooms, functionally furnished, decent bathrooms. Windows with shutters and soundproof windows. Despite that, it is noisy due to the air traffic. There is also a large free car park. The breakfast is OK.

Generally: We spent a week in this beautiful hotel as part of a business trip. It has 30 rooms on two floors, a large parking lot and we spent a really pleasant time here. Had some bad luck. Only got a room that wasn't cleaned. That should not happen. Another room was then quickly made available to me. Hotel is right under the airport approach path, but that's not their fault. Price performance is quite ok. What they can do for, however, is that they make no effort at the breakfast buffet. It doesn't get much more spartan than that.

Rooms were clean. The place had been recently renovated. Had a problem with no receptionist and had to call someone who didn't speak English to get the key. WiFi only worked in the lobby and directly outside. Rooms are small but comfy enough.

used the instant coffee sachets and they did not replace it neither the sugar or long life milk. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Was and will be back for the next half year! Stay there because of several training courses at the TAE. The single rooms are spacious and clean. Communication is also via WhatsApp, which is very relaxed for me as a young person. Also easily accessible by phone.

We (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed one night in one room at there to go to Legoland next day. The room was really clean. And breakfast was great! Especially homemade jam was really tasty. At restaurant , there was aquarium so kids didn't get bored after they finished breakfast. So adults could have nice breakfast time. They do outdated right. It's such a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere that you feel like you're staying at your Great Aunt's place, rather than a hotel. The breakfast is standard German, but with a personal touch. You can order your eggs how you like and the cost is unbeatable. I loved every night there, and I was there 3 weeks!

Cosy house, something comfortable room size, good bed and cozy furnishings, and - very important - very clean old-fashioned but. What is particularly noteworthy is the nice atmosphere created by the "den mother". I had a cold strong voice, slightly feverish and had to go to the fair.
