Holiday Inn - the niu, Hop by IHG

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were given a room with dirty sheets and an overall unclean feel. We had to wait a long time at reception to get a new room, as several other guests were also complaining about similar issues.

Eventually, we were moved to another room, but only one on the ground floor was available. The windows barely opened, meaning there was little access to fresh air, and unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly either, leaving the room poorly ventilated.

We had also looked forward to using their advertised Chromecast feature to stream to the TV, but that was not available either. The staff simply said they would need to check with their headquarters, but no solution was provided.

Reception service overall was not very helpful or proactive, and it often felt like issues were brushed off rather than addressed.

Additionally, if you’re unlucky with your neighbors, be prepared for a noisy night. We could hear loud party music late at night and even early in the morning. The sound isolation was very poor — we could even hear the church bells clearly starting at 6 AM and then ringing every half hour afterwards.

All in all, we cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.

Never use this hotel for business travel. I extended my stay from 12 to 15 nights and they didn't hesitate to extend it, but unfortunately I should leave one day before and they were completely inflexible to don't charge the extra night.

I travelled before to Forchheim to other hotels, because my company has a big project in the area, this time I chose this because is a member of IHG, but I did a mistake.

The rooms quality and prices in other hotels are similar but they understand that sometimes you should leave early for business purposes in particular when you are traveling often to the place.

Is a petty because the hotel itself is not bad, but the management is terrible.

The rooms are pretty small, with no tea or coffee available and nowhere to hang clothes. The breakfast is very poor.

The general feel of the hotel is nice.

Very unfriendly service. I was there on a business trip. Booked through booking with a company but took an hour to show up in the room. The gentleman at the front desk, very rude, ham. I don't know, maybe it was the first day of work, but it didn't at all. I feel like talking to idiots. I was the three of my work colleagues. The Lord says there are no triple rooms. Great, we were the only ones who had reserved two rooms. The gentleman claimed that he had to download data from us and reserve a new room, even though all of the company's data was in the system and he had reserved two rooms. Hotel generally at a very good level, parking lot, room and bathroom all very modern and tidy, but the service is a disaster. Perhaps you should do some intelligence tests before hiring new employees to avoid such situations in the future. I will be there in the future, if the staff is still rude and incompetent, I will report it to the appropriate services.

0 Hospitality and understanding of situation, have explained couple of times that I will bring results of test, before that was impossible to check in. A very bad start for a newly opened hotel.
