Location in the middle of nature, well connected even in winter with snow (cleaned road). Absolutely amazing breakfast! We also had dinner, delicious and reasonable price.

Really nice family owned hotel and restaurant. Great food and nice atmosphere. The renovated rooms are modern and fancy. Very friendly staff throughout the entire complex. The location is gorgeous, in the middle of nature with almost nothing around. All you can hear is the nice sound of the cow bells in front of the hotel.

Was a very nice hotel! Stayed here for a night. The room was newly done, very modern, had WiFi - which I was surprised about as it was in the middle of no where! We loved our stay. It was cozy, welcoming, comfortable and refined. They tidy your room while at breakfast, have homemade cookies to offer with afternoon tea, and the restaurant was superb. The gym equipment was disappointing, however, we would love to come back.

We had a wonderful dinner in a beautiful ambience. The service was great, the food was excellent, well prepaired, refined German cuisine. Local products, good meat and fish. And we had 2 desserts because they were too tasty.

The location is ideal - you wake up the middle of the tranquil black forest. The staff (Beatrice especially) were friendly and had extremely high standards of customer service. The food was amazing (we had dinner when we arrived, which was divine!) and a wide choice for the continental breakfast.

Really nice place to stay. Lovely rooms with a nice table and chairs so you can play games or read comfortably. Comfy bed and quiet at night. Restaurant is nicely layer out with an excellent Italian and German menu.

We spent a wonderful week here. Relaxed and friendly, mien hosts looked after us extremely well. The restaurant had by far the best food we tried in the region. The stream overlooked from our balcony provided a most relaxing background sound. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Very highly recommended!

A very good hotel and restaurant. Rooms are clean and very nice decorated. There is a small welcome basket with fruit. They have very good wines and the food is fantastic. The fish is super fresh caught in the little river behind the hotel.

The rooms are very clean - a bit traveling back in time - with newly renovated bathrooms. Dog was allowed after request. Card payment possible. We have stayed here on our biking trips for at least 6 times now. One of the best hotels we have stayed at ! Fantastic food,great value, spotlessly clean and great service , not to mention it is in one of the nicest parts of Germany. George, mum and co, we will be back !

Beautiful location in the middle of nowhere with lots of hiking trails nearby. The room are small and dated, especially the bathroom. The food is decent but not exceptional, but the breakfast buffet was very nice. Overall a bit expensive for what it is though.

Irene Schlender is what made this place wonderful. Her cooking was delicious. Her family was charming. We were going to come back but alas she is no longer working there so I will take one star away for that.

Nice hotel at the top of hill. It's great if you have a car as it is more than 20 minutes from MarketPlatz. The host lady is very nice and helpful. There is a nature trail which starts on the hill right in front of the hotel and takes you rut o the waterfall. It takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour. You may face issue with mobile network (at least I can say for Lebara) in some rooms. Wifi isn't the best...

Outdated but clean rooms. We had a family room with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Everything was clean and for a very good price (therefore I don't mind the outdated furniture). I've seen just one person from the staff. We wanted to check out and she kept on the phone for more than 10 minutes while we were waiting. Not friendly! Otherwise I would have given 4 stars.

We had a large 2 bedroom for 4 people. It was comfy, but the furniture didn't match. We had an early train and the receptionist was trying to help us with a taxi but there aren't any available before 7am. The hotel is also on a high, steep hill unlike the other hotels so we had to carry all of our lugagge to the train station, which wasn't fun. Next time we will stay by the train station. This is a great hotel. It is wonderful if you have kids because of the large family rooms, indoor pool, and game room. The owners are very welcoming, and will ensure you have the best stay possible. The other great aspect is the hotel is close to Triberg center without paying the Triberg prices.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel for a week in June. It is in one of the best locations possible. It is very close and just a short easy walk to Triberg falls (the main attraction in town) and it is super close to the main downtown area. Our room was small, but had an additional sunroom off the side. It was nice to look out at the fog on the mountains. The hotel was up quite a steep hill, however. It might not be good for someone who cannot do that climb. It is very close to a beautiful waterfall.

Close to all but no wifi There was an arrow on the door saying to go downstairs, so Entrance was confusing and staff was condescending when we finally got in. And wifi was only valid for 30 minutes per device with no option to purchase more time. But location was great and it was a nice room.

Nice stay Good location close to most places in town. Room was updated and clean. Very close to the waterfall trails. Check in before going to the waterfall to get the pass.

The room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the friendliness of the hotel staff and the attentiveness at breakfast. Breakfast is simple, but tasty with great options, including hot eggs and bacon. Parking was easy and the location of the hotel is great with easy access to town.

Excellent old hotel located in a beautiful Black Forest town of Triberg. We got a wonderful large room with a larger bathroom including a jacuzzi bath in the main building. Awesome. The hotel has a great Wellness and Spa area, well designed and all in perfect operational order. Sauna land area is only allowed to be unclothed. Great pool, jacuzzi, many dry and wet saunas, resting area on water beds...

An excellent place to stay at in this small town. Cozy rooms, food at breakfasts is great, good location. Special thanks to the staff, extremely helpful! We needed some hot water late at night twice, they were very nice to get it for us. The only downside is that they don't have an elevator. Otherwise, this is a perfect place. Highly recommend!

Very nice place with large rooms and private guest parking. Enjoy the bar and restaurant at hotel or several other locations within walking distance to widen your selection. Spa and pool help relax the body after a walk to Germany's largest water fall(free to hotel guests) or a few hours of climbing in the trees on a recreational rope obstacle course 15 meters in the air.

The room was spacious, and the door to the child's single bed closed halfway. The view from the window was beautiful. There was no air conditioning, so summer nights weren't hot, but rather chilly. Lovely location. The gentleman at reception was very talkative and welcoming. The pool was nice and warm. The food was wonderful at the restaurant. Our room was very large and the balcony was an added bonus.

Nice hotel with very large rooms and beds ! Our room had a separate area with the double-bed and a separate living room and balcony. The view on the landscape was very cute and relaxing. The receptionist was very kind and shared various tips on activities to do around the town.

Black Forest hotel stay Nice place to stay in the Black Forest region. Clean comfortable room. Check in was a small challenge due to language barrier, but quickly done. Restaurant food and service was great. There is no elevator to second floor in one building, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the set of stairs. The St Margen cloister museum nearby is a must see for any clock enthusiasts.

Relaxing in Sankt Margen Lovely hotel with a family feeling and ideal for hiking lovers!!! This place is ideal for a phone, social media rehab as the surroundings are mesmerising . Hotel Löwen by Mastiff is one of the best placed I stayed ever. The location is stunning, staff is really good and great food. The hotel also has great view of Black forest and recreational facilities like pool, ping pong, etc. The heated swimming pool and sauna are icing on the cake. I will strongly recommend Hotel Löwen by Mastiff for all visitors.

We only rented the sauna by the hour, so I can't rate the service and the hotel rooms. It's always a great experience in the sauna. You can bring your own food and relax with your friends, have a sauna, eat and enjoy the view on the terrace.

Owner very friendly and helpful. Was immediately offered a garage for the motorcycle. Breakfast wonderful. Unfortunately, after 8 p.m. no more hot food. No points deducted, because we had to realize that this is common in this area.
