Where to stay in Giessen

Nice clean rooms and very modern. Could do with some English channels on TV. Had tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Nice hotel. There is a great restaurant and bar in this hotel. The employees are helpful and know english. The pool was nice as well. Picture is view from room.

Perfect and clean room, as well with minibar and coffee and tee. Friendly staff and a good breakfast Buffet. I dont use the pool and sauna. But its available for all guests. Inka WLAN could be better!

Best hotel in Gießen. The staff is what truly makes it. The breakfast and pool are awesome too. The receptionist here go above and beyond to make everything perfect. Wham bam in the clam.

We go a few years with a couple of friends to the Golden Oldies festival in Wettenberg. We stay all 4 years in this hotel. We are always very happy. Clean rooms, friendly service, good breakfast, friendly reception. We go every morning to swim, swimming pool, possibility to use nice sauna. We are very satisfied !!!!!!!!!!

Nice hotel. Building is old (but renovated), thus the rooms are smaller than newer hotels. Hotel has very limited parking, one usually has to use a nearby Parking lot (building) a block away. Breakfast was reasonable.

Average hotel a little bit old and with rooms in need of renovations. Location is good, close to the center and restaurants and coffee shops, personnel is nice and kind. Possibility to have breakfast in the morning.

That place is a hotel with flair. Based on an old building used as a bank before it is nicely renovated and has the comfort you are expecting.

Leider sehr laut denn direkt an einer grossen Hauptstraße. An warmen tagen sehr warm auf den Zimmer denn keine Klimaanlage, kein Kühlschrank. Geschlafen habe ich trotzdem recht gut.

I was here in February 2015, the room was good and clean. On demand car Park, I was shown enough so no Problem. The reception area is completely redesigned and really nice, the Breakfast is recommended. The meeting room is new and spacious. I would love to come again.

Very close to the Hauptbahnhof and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. It was very clean and comfortable. Friendky staff.

No elevator, breakfast leaves something to be desired, and they were doing construction in the adjoining room which was very disruptive

I am very often in the year in Giessen, Germany, and the Parkhotel is a favorite in my Bed. Super Breakfast buffet, who complains there's somewhere else to be satisfied.

Breakfast was great, fresh pineapple, melon and salmon. Bathroom in double room 211 is tiny (toilet, sink and shower on 2mx1m area), for 89EUR not okay. A star deduction for that. The walk to the eye hospital (400m) and to the Bar Paprica (diagonally opposite) ultra-short. Edeka near, train station also!

Nice location NO AC not place for summers. Otherwise clean priced right and near autobahn. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Great morning coffee bakery down the street. Secure free parking but limited number od spaces

Budget Hotel, but 5star welcome and service. Very comfortable,firm bed provided an excellent night's sleep. Varied breakfast choices, crispy rolls, cereals, jams,honey, cold meats, cheeses, bookended by orange juice and excellent coffee. A friendly goodbye, and yes, we will stop again.

We were overall happy with the stay. The location of the hotel is Top. The rooms should be cabins improved in order to shower the one or the other. All in all a good Hotel

Perfectly accessible by car, with very good Parking facilities. Despite the proximity to the A485 and it is available in the Hotel with the window closed, wonderfully quiet. You can sleep so well, and starts with a delicious Breakfast and a very nice condition (from Switzerland? ) in a new day. Dogs with their owners are also welcomed!

So I stayed nights there with my girlfriend of 3 and I must say felt good. The price/performance ratio is good. Rooms are rather small and sparsely decorated but very clean and not objectionable for the price of the room. A defective shower head was replaced within 30 minutes after we had this communicated to the staff without a great talk by a completely new one. The location is the commercial area...

This is a nice and clean hotel not too far away from the city centre or the Ludwigsplatz. There is a busstop right in front of the hotel as well. The hotel is clean as was the room we stayed in. Our room was comfortable enough, but having a kettle in the room would have been a nice addition. I travel here for work two or three times a year. Every time I am made to feel welcome. The rooms are always spotless and well laid out. The restaurant and bar area are very nice and good place to relax.

Excellent upscale restaurant (probably best food in town) with nice ambience. Great wine selection. Hotel rooms a bit old fashion some with very narrow subtle beds. I personably don't like the very thin pillows and the rather small blankets which either cover the feet or the chest but not both. Very friendly staff.

We arrived and looked for the night, likely sleepysleepy had free rooms, we slept well, big bed 2 adults and 2 kids under 6, very clean and fresh looking room and bathroom.

I stay here for business. It is in a good location for the town centre. The hotel is clean and the staff polite. The hotel overall needs a big refurbishment. It is showing its age in too many places.

Very friendly and great food with massive portions and very tasty, location is 5km from Giessen which is fantastic vibey town.

Due to a training I was allowed to spend here 6 nights. The room was clean, if rather rustic, rather clogged shower drain was cleaned after complaint immediately. Although in the house every few meters Repeater the Wi-Fi was hanging in the room (add-on), unfortunately, miserable. We were guest at a wedding celebration with an Overnight stay and overall, the stay was a round thing. The rooms (in the annexe) were quite spacious, clean and quiet. A great place if you want to stay in Gießen. The personell is very kind and helpful and always good fo a chat and laugh. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and available starting from 07:00. If you should need a nice recommandation about the area nearby just ask the owners ;) If I should visit Gießen again, I would not hesitate to book this place again.

Nice location for business purpose in Giessen, the city center is at a reasonnable foot distance. The hotel is quite old but is well maintained and therefore acceptable for this price range. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Rooms are quite nice,Spacious and has a fan. Breakfast buffet is so rich that i doubt whatever your taste is, you will find what suits your morning habits. Free WiFi. and coffee in the Reception. Free tea and water boiler in the room

Super fine small hotel. Good breakfast, lovely little fitness room. Internet and parking in the courtyard. Walking distance to the city centre.

A lovely Guesthouse on the Lahn. Very convenient to Giessen for Business and close to the river for a walk. Just watch out that reception closes early, better to make advance arrangements in case of flight delays.

Lovely little hotel in a nice setting along the river. Great food. Sunday evening in winter I think they have candlelight dinners in front of the fire. Danny, Matthew and the rest really took great care of me. They have roulade on the menu that it's fabulous.

Restaurant: Friendly staff and food was very good. Most importantly they appreciate critique. The room itself was rather dark, but homely. Hotel: Same goes for the staff here. Beds are just right, warm water took some time tho. Wlan on third floor wasnt really good but depends on the room you are in. Breakfast was fantastic! I would definately go there again.

Beautiful light, neat and clean rooms with a balcony. Friendly staff and a rich Breakfast. Delicious. I felt immediately at ease. At the Hotel itself, there is nothing to complain about. It was because of the road a little noisy for sleeping but we are in the city, and earplugs are at the ready. I would come back at any time.

Very warm and comfortable hotel. The castle nearby is suitable for hiking. Drainage floor drain should be installed on bathroom floor.

Clean room. There was a distinctive fresh fragrance in the bathroom. The style is quite old school, but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. You have radiators rather than AC which I personally prefer. Breakfast was good. Better than some 3 star hotels. Good variety of continental items including salmon and different cheeses. In the last 25 years, X times stayed here. Why? Because we like it here, because everything fits. Staff, Service, room, Wi-Fi, Breakfast, all TOP. Also, an Asian Restaurant located in the house. What more can you want.

Good hotel (self catering) but not suited for business travellers. Too far away from amenities if you wanted a drink with your dinner. Owner is very helpful, I would stay again if I was not working.

Our stay for the weekend was okay. Things to keep in mind : the curtains do not keep the light out! (especially in a room at the hotel's sign..). The website says there is always coffee : not true. The breakfast is rather limited + the eggs are often cold.

The hotel is OK for one night stays, but I wouldn't want to spend more time there. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Breakfast was good as well. The hotel in general just needs a modernization. There are two available outlets, all of them far away from the bed/living area. The mattress was soft and had seen its better days. Excellent Boutique hotel, converted from an 19th century factory. Rooms are lovely, reception very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great. Recommended.

Good breakfast. Clean rooms. The exterior looks very nice, as does the interior. However, the design of the latter is manifestly impractical: the showers are fully enclosed such that mold is an inevitability, but the bathrooms themselves aren't enclosed which again doesn't make sense.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Check in was fast and easy, rooms are modern, clean and interesting. The Hotel itself is very nicely reachable by car and even has an awesome sauna on the roof open until 10 pm with towels and bathrobes available. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the food is relatively fancy and pretty good. Portion sizes are large for this kind of place, even in multi-course menus. On occasion, some of the meat dishes weren't quite as good, but most of the time its on point. The staff is friendly and dogs are allowed in. The restaurant is on the expensive end, but that should be no surprise.
