The hotel is designed according to a traditional German style. The staff is helpful . The breakfast is good. but you have to check in before 8.00 pm otherwise it will be difficult to check in. There is no 24 hour employed receptionist.

Don't let the looks fool you here. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly, helpful and flexible. The cuisine to my taste is excellent. Maybe a bit much for one or the other. We were out for a long weekend with 5 motorcycles. The hotel owners and the staff are simply great, a storage facility was offered for the motorbikes, the food knocks you off your feet and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. I am rating this as it considers itself a 4* Hotel. It's really a beautiful hotel at a reasonable price. So it's definitely worth it. But there's so many little things. WLAN is 0.4 MBit. The renovations they've done (to the stairs, for example) are in a light colored wood which just looks terrible to the existing dark wood. We were on a trip in the town and came across this absolutely amazing and authentic place. The food was just fire- we’ve got a roast deer with “Knödel” and a salmon on a potato patty as a starter. We booked a double room, which turned out to be a nice size studio flat. Little kitchen, big bathroom with a bathtub and massive bedroom/ living room/ dining room. We also had a nice balcony with table and chairs. The whole place is very nice, big and rustical. The road nearby can be a little noisy in the room and the reception staff could be more friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised at just how grand this castle is and on large grounds overlooking the old town of Altstadt just a couple minutes walk. Our double room was large and well appointed and bathrooms were fresh. Romantic. An incredible terrace on the roof with views that no other property has in town. They were very kind to us. We booked this hotel a year in advance as we know during Christmas market time is very busy and we requested a room with view of market on the 2nd floor. I felt very comfortable in this hotel. The operators are very hospitable and respond to requests. My room was very clean and modern and had a phenomenal view. Breakfast was served at the table - requests are also met here. The hotel is on top of a mountain so a car is an advantage. I always got a parking space right next to the house. Based on my positive experiences, I am here again now.

The hotel is located right at the one end of the market square. The room was cozy and comfortable. The room window opened up with a view of the market square but surprisingly it was not noisy even on Sunday in mid July. The breakfast was very good. We were guests from September 2nd to 4th, 2022. Our host was super accommodating. The hotel and the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was very loving and plentiful. We had a spacious apartment for our family and ate dinner in the relaxing Biergarten of the restaurant. Great, central location in the city with easy access to cafés and little shops. Parking behind the hotel was great for unloading and loading our luggage.

Stayed here 2 days, breakfast was average and good, easy to access parking lot and the center of the city, if we return to Quedlinburg, we will return here, it is old fashioned, but we enjoyed it, nice hard beds, no luxury, but it works fine, compared to the price.
