I really enjoyed my stay in Calamus . The beds are super comfortable. The shower cabin is really nice and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

We had three issues with the hotel. First, it’s 900 yards from the nearest tram stop which is the only way to explore Strasbourg and the rest of Kehl. There was no mention of that in the material we reviewed prior to booking. Second, the size of the room. We booked a comfort double which was supposed to be 237 SF. There’s no way room 62 is that size. Third, their pricing is out of whack for a property...

Nice hotel. Room was a bit small just a sliding door for the bathroom. We got a room towards the street and it was a bit noisy. Make sure to ask for a room towards the back

The staff and hotel room were excellent. The staff was friendly and kind. The room was simple, clean, and quaint. The breakfast was great and we were welcomed by a lovely staff member to seat us. If we get a chance to come to this part of Germany again we wish to stay here again.

Hotel sits right along a very busy road, the rooms are very badly insonorated. You hear guests pee! The cleaning staff were chatting loudly outside my door at 6-7am Carpet in room is very outdated

My wife and I stayed here rather than paying to stay in Strasbourg. It is a very quick drive for a day trip into Strasbourg to enjoy the city, and then back to this charming hotel for the night. We had dinner in their restaurant, which is traditional and excellent! We highly recommend staying here.

Brilliant food and drink brilliant service

The hotel is at a very convenient location both close to Kehl town center and the border to France. The tram station is just outside the hotel front entrance which can take the Tram Route D to visit Strasbourg. Highly recommended for people traveling in Germany but would like to have a day trip to Strasbourg.

We were transferred to this hotel due to problems at our original hotel. Our original hotel was old, tired with very rude staff and awful food. The Hirsch was opposite - the staff were extremely helpful and the room was excellent. We would be very happy to stay here again.

An excellent traditional hotel with a warm welcome. The inside wouldn't be out of place in an alpine setting. A large restaurant with plenty of outside seating. Our room was very large for a double. The service was excellent. Free parking opposite and available on the quiet street.

I've stayed at Europa Hotel for over 10 years but the standard is unfortunately going down, despite increasing prices. The latest: self check-in (and check-out), room cleaning only upon request and canned (v. fresh) fruit for breakfast.

Traveling solo with pet The room lacked a kettle for making coffee or tea. Providing this basic amenity would greatly enhance guests' comfort, especially when dining options are limited due to restrictions on pets in certain areas. Overall the hotel staff were very friendly and understanding, the tram station is across the road, and in 20 minutes one arrives in the center of Strasbourg.

Nearby shops and food, bus/tram station and tankstations. Breakfast was good. Also nice was an refrigerator in the room. Very good beds. Bathroom was clean. Every day they make up our room. No wifi in room, wifi only downstairs in the hall and bar and breakfast room. Whats missing is something to make coffee or tea. For the rest we have a good time.

Excellent location. Supermarket, tram station, train station, gas station everything is within 200m - 400m distanc. Property is squeaky clean. Good heating system. Limited but wonderful breakfast options (it can also be complimentary based on room reservation type). Hotel staff speak German and English(some speak French too). Had a wonderful stay.

No reception, even at 4pm so checkout very tricky Basically no reception, no one at hotel at all, and a message was meant to be sent to me with my room number, or code to get the key, which was not sent. So it took me like 3 hours to finally work out how to call them, as there were multiple numbers on a small bit of paper to call. I almost gave up. Ok hotel in Kehl Good location in Kehl with good comminucation to Strasbourg. Nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was not the best but it was coffie and breed. The check out time was after the breakfast with was a little bit to early.

Good basic lodging and less expensive option than staying right in Strasbourg. This hotel is just over the bridge and is a 10 minute, easy, and cheap tram ride to the center of Strasbourg.

It's only about a 15-minute walk from the train station and an even shorter walk if you take the tram D from Strasbourg Train Station. The breakfast is adequate, but. not stunning.
