Hotel Avalon

This is a hidden gem. The room was fantastic. It was very spacious with a refrigerator and ceiling fan. The bed was very comfortable with night stands and plugs on both sides. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the forest leading up to the castle. The balcony was very private and had chairs and a little table. There was a huge wardrobe and a desk. Bathroom was very large and had plenty of hot water. The lobby, room and bathroom was very clean. There is an elevator if you don't want to take the stairs. The only thing I wish it had was a coffee pot or water kettle. It was very hot during the day while we were there but the lobby and room was cool. We hiked to the castle for lunch and it was great. The hotel is within short walking distances to many places including the train station and we felt safe walking around the town. The parking, breakfast and wifi is free. There are microwaves at the end of each hall. It is very reasonably priced. It was very quiet. The owners, Mike and his wife were very nice and accommodating. We will most definitely stay here again. Our only regret is we didn't know about it sooner because we would definitely had stayed here before.

This was the absolute cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. And I travel a lot.

The owners are wonderful, helpful and accommodating hosts. The fresh breakfast is a great way to start the day.

The hotel is in walking distance of all sorts of bars, restaurants and of course the castle.

This hotel is wonderful! I called half an hour before they closed desperate for a room for my son and I. The staff was friendly and helpful, even giving recommendations for where we could get a meal late at night. They also speak English wonderfully.

The room was spacious and clean. There was a beautiful balcony, overlooking the trees and nature behind the hotel. The room was quiet and comfortable. There is a mini fridge (quite large for a hotel fridge) and the tv had a few English channels (BBC and ITV).

Breakfast is included in the price of the room and was lovely. Traditional German breakfast foods as well as hot scrambled eggs and bacon. My son was particularly excited to see kiwi.

The location has plenty of parking and I was able to easily park my dodge grand caravan.

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at the Hotel Avalon. I wish it was appropriate to hug strangers in Germany. I would have hugged the staff for sure. Sending virtual hugs their way ;)

This hotel is a unforeseen gem, if you are here, do not pass this up. Price is very reasonable, breakfast is extremely well done and tasty. Perfectly located within walking distance of even the train station.

This is a two star hotel in a quaint town.

Ignore all reviews prior to Jan 2020. Michael and Isabel are very friendly with their hotel.

Michael and Isabel were wonderful hosts! The room was quiet, even though we were on the traffic side of the hotel. There was also an excellent housekeeping staff, so our room was absolutely spotless--very impressive. The wide range of foods offered for breakfast was exceptional and far exceeded our standards for "Frühstück". We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Landstuhl.

Absolutely awesome place to stay, between both price, service and how cute this hotel is, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. If you are looking for a place that's both quiet and tucked away but close to Landstuhl, then do not overlook this hotel.

For every ask, they were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. The beds are a little on the firmer side but not too firm and solid memory foam.

Very nice owners, great facilities and good breakfast. No clue why they are not officially rated as at least 3 stars, they would deserve it!
