Hotels in Marburg

This hotel is a sad place. It has no atmosphere or personal character at all. It is a typical investment hotel, built into a former parking garage, completely impersonal and everywhere looks the same. The price of 140 euros for a small room for one person is far too high. You can get much nicer accommodation for that in the beautiful town of Marburg. Unfortunately, they were all fully booked that weekend

This was the first time I stayed in B&B in Marburg and found the location to be excellent. The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating to our requests. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay at this hotel again.

In terms of price, the CP value is OK. The location is in an alley in downtown Marlborough. Find peace amidst the noise. The only drawback is that the bed is too small. The bathroom is rather large. Cleanliness is also good.

Great central location and wonderfully welcoming staff. The rooms are very modern and clean, I think they have just been refurbished last year. Also: amazing breakfast! When I mentioned I was vegan I was immediately presented with soya milk and even a selection of vegan cheese and breakfast meat options (yes, us Germans even when vegan need our sausages and cold cuts for breakfast). Amazing!

Clean family owned hotel that lies closely to the main station. A bus stop is right in front of the building. Prices are reasonable and the rooms are comfortable.

Had a lovely evening eating here with colleagues. The food was lovely and it was a nice concept to have individual cabins, like eating in a rustic cabin. Great service.

The atmosphere and service at the Restaurant is inviting and comfortable. The food is excellent, specifically the Weiner Schnitzel is the best that I have ever had. I had the pleasure of meeting Konrad who can trace his family to 1600’s and his son now leads the kitchen. If you are in the Marburg area, this is a worthwhile stop for a beer and dinner. I went there for a 80th birthday of a friend. The food, the drinks and the service was fine and friendly.

We were in a suite with a view of river, it was neat and clean. The kitchen had utensils to cook something quick. I did not like the twin bed and it was a bit small than usual. Reaching the hotel was easy, there is a restaurant on premises, the morning breakfast had many variety and fresh fruits and drinks. I enjoyed the stay while working.

Location is subjective - it worked for us. 5 stars for our stay, my disabled mother and her husband spent 5 nights at the hotel, and it was fabulous. Nice hotel but our appartment was a big disappointment. Not so spacious as advertised (for family) and no airconditioning in the sleeping room. The temparature in the room was too high for a good night rest. Also, for a family friendly hotel we would have expected a (simple) playground/-corner/-room on the hotel premises.

There is different food and shopping options walking distance.

The hotel was very comphy and had an excellent breakfast every morning. The front desk folks were all very friendly. We had a lovely 5 nights there.

Everything is good except the pillow which is too soft to support the neck.Breakfast is good

WORST PILLOWS EVER! For some reason, Germany loves these massive, square pillows. My in-laws (also German) have them as well, and their pillows are bad, but this hotel's pillows take the cake. Even my husband--who's been sleeping on these wacky pillows his entire life--had a terrible sleep due to **his words** "...that terrible pillow." It's a shame, because everything else about the hotel was lovely...

Just ok. The hotel is central. My room was small and crowded with stuff. The TV did not work, and the model is old. The staff is charming. Would stay there again Perfectly located hotel a few minutes walk straight from the train station and near nice cafes and restaurants. Standard rooms, standard service and big breakfast. No bar or lounge rooms but cute little details like good night stories and a small gift if you choose not to have your room cleaned every day. I would stay there again and do recommend.

The position, though in an industrial area, is practical because of easy access to buses into the centre of town. Walking to town along the river is attractive (about 30 mins easy walk). Breakfast is fine and the breakfast room nice. Our suite was good, but it is important to know that access to the bed is via a spiral staircase.

Poor location, walking distance 3kms from historic centre. Fine by day but doesn't feel safe at night. Price is high for the location. Bad pillows. Very good breakfast.

This is a great little hotel. Room was small but well designed. Staff was friendly and competent. Breakfast was great. So why only 3 stars? The location seemed safe but charmless. This gem of a hotel is set in an area of warehouses and light industry. It is a fine choice for a one night stop but we wouldn't recommend a long stay.

Very clean and nicely decorated rooms (Miro, Chagall,...) good beds. Shared bathrooms and WC also clean and well equipped. If you arrive after 7 p.m. you get a number key to open the box with a card. All well organized.

The property is conveniently located in close proximity to several bakeries, restaurants and shops. Very walkable to get anywhere in town, and public transportation is available close by. Hotel was ok, clean and comfortable. You have your own bath and toilet but you have to get out of your room to use it. The breakfast was pretty basic and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Quaint and quiet little hotel idyllicly located in a small village outside Marburg. The restaurant is great, and the owners who run the day to day service are very friendly and accommodating! The breakfast buffet is very good! And when they say fresh honey, they bring in the actual honeycomb from the hive!

Impeccable cleanliness, the structure is new and excellent not to mention the hotel manager who is an exquisite person. A few minutes from the center of Marburg and with a very quiet position surrounded by nature where you can breathe the peaceful air for a holiday.
