Rooms were really small. However hard to really complain as location and prices were really good but level to detail could be better. In general I leave 4 stars for the sheer passion with which the family owners take care of the business. Furthermore, the breakfast and their restaurant are good to my opinion. Especially, due to the local flavour from the region added to both. The rooms range from old fashioned to rustical, but in general are definitely clean. Don't expect the newest or the best, but definitely enjoyable to stay at

This is on of those fantastic little gems you are lucky to run accross. I had a very enjoyable time here and enjoyed the quiet and beautiful views. The rooms are large and accommodating with a full kitchenette. The buffet style breakfast is nice as well.

The best dog-friendly hotel we have even been to! The owner is very kind and texts you all relevant information a few days beforehand. The rooms provide many facilities and are very clean. The hotel is located on a big property with a backyard of a few km² which is ideal for taking your dog for a walk. Thank you very much for your amazing service, we will definitely be coming back!

Little disappointing there is no dinner restaurant, but the staff are great, very helpful and polite, nice breakfast and lovely grounds at the rear of the premises

Clean room, but not that big. Ask for a room with a balcony, these are bigger and have more amenities, like a mini fridge! The breakfast was standard, but with good eggs! Enough parking space and kind people running the hotel

Very good hotel with excellent service and reasonable prices. Situated in a very quiet area and walking routes directly from the hotel. Free parking, close to the ice-holes. A fine hotel for a couple of days to get rid of the everyday noices.

The room was big and clean with a good atmosphere. The wellness are was the highlight of the hotel with a nice view to the forest. Breakfast was also good with a rich amount of variety.

Great drink, food and fantastic service. The rooms look a bit dated, but clean. WiFi didn't work, but the area has 4g coverage. A bit pricey for what it is, but the view from the dining terrace makes up for it. Well recommended for a stay, and do try their restaurant, food was fantastic.

Absolutely lovely place. Luxurious rooms, excellent service, food from the region that tastes great. They ask you what you want ahead of time, so that the buffet is mostly stocked I'm accordance with guests' wishes, thus limiting food waste. Unfortunately the food was so good that I made some food waste myself by taking more than I could eat.

The stay was ok. The food was ok as well, location was off the beaten path a bit but I would have have 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact 2 days after we left the hotel emails me and threatens to file criminal charges for not paying for room. The location of this hotel is fantastic. We stayed in a room on the ground floor with a big balcony with well-equipped outdoor furniture. The view from the balcony is amazing. The room size is perfect for a family with a kid. The staff is nice and breakfast is well served every morning by the staff.

Very nice place for a get away in quiet green surroundings at drivable distance from touristic places. Dog friendly, spacious clean rooms, private balconies with lake view, good food and very hospitable owners. We enjoyed our weekend very much.

Die Lage am See ist sehr schön. Bei den Zimmern ist großer Sanierungsbedarf. Alte Möbel mit einem Fernseher so klein, das die 2. Person nichts mehr sieht. Wäschewechsel und Zimmerreinigung nur nach Abruf. Das Frühstück und Abend-Buffet war gut und reichhaltig. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Insgesamt entspricht das keinem 4 Sterne Hotel. Top Notch for long stays. Dorint Apartments are great. The staff is wonderful. Most can converse in English. I'd stay here again & again. Breakfast is the best. Bar, restaurants, squash courts, bowling alley, pool, sauna, small gym. Highly recommended.

We spent the weekend there as a group of 8 adults and 5 children. The accommodation was very clean, the facility was well maintained and the landlords were very friendly and uncomplicated. The accommodation is very idyllic! Clear recommendation!!!!

Part of the hotel has been renovated recently. I had one of those single rooms, superb. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Nice view over the little town and up to the mansion on the rock. Town centre is pictoresque.

Rooms and bathroom are clean and tidy. The bed is already past its prime. Parking is free and breakfast is surprisingly good. Reception service *not* available. Even if the restaurant is no longer open (anymore?), it is still a question of service to organize something for hungry guests from biking, hiking or similar - even if it is just a table reservation. Especially when a lot of things are closed...

The rooms here aren't super comfortable but the staff is nice and they have a lovely breakfast area and the breakfast they serve is actually very good. I really liked the scrambled eggs and the cheese selection.

Warm welcome, excellent value for money and food of an EXCEPTIONAL quality. Probably the best meal I've eaten in Germany, ever, and at a snip of a price. Yes, the hotel itself is a little 'tired', but the welcome is warm and we were very comfortable. It's worth a visit for the food alone. Will definitely return if we're ever in the area again.

This was a brilliant place to stay for a few days. The food was excellent, and the breakfast too. My motorbike was under cover, which shouldn't have been a surprise as this is a motorcycle friendly hotel. I had a great time talking in my tourist German. I felt really relaxed here. I would stay here again at the drop of a hat.

Hotell Finkenberg is on the outskirts of the small town of Blankenheim and provides decent time for a decent price, and includes a nice breakfast.

Great location and very nice staff. There is also kids club and the entertainers were amazing. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking and sightseeing. Mosel is also close by. The bar was great and so the restaurant. They serve some great local wines. Breakfast was exquisite. There is also swimming pool, open from early to very late. Mini golf and a wonderful playground for kids.

I have stayed here several times over the years. It is always a great experience. The same staff is friendly and speaks English. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is a restaurant with a great breakfast buffet and a small bar for late nights. There is a lot of terrain, so you have to go up and down hills a lot though.

Nice 4* hotel with friendly staff and great spa & welness

This is a beautiful hotel, completely tranquil and relaxing. We had a half board deal and were served a delicious four course meal each evening. It was excellent value for money. There's quite a small swimming pool but it was never crowded when we were there. We also used the sauna and jacuzzi. The scenery is stunning.

Bare-bones room and no amenities such as breakfast during weekdays, which could be a Corona thing, I suppose. Good value for money nonetheless.

We are there a week,are well received by the hostess herself.every day super breakfast and in the evening a dinner that is definitely worthy of a star. The staff there is not too much for a little explanation bi the daily newspaper. A romantic hotel in an old castle/manor was perfect for my visit to the Nürburgring as our previous trip we had stayed in Nürburg and accommodation choices are limited so my wife and I were both happy. The trout from Heidsmühle - we enjoyed "Forelle Müllerin" - are unbeatably good. They are totally fresh and perfectly prepared. And in the best spring weather and with a view of the rushing Kleine Kyll, they are simply great.

Couldn't stay here unfortunately because of an overbooking but the owner more than made up for it by putting us up in another place in town and treating us at the restaurant, which by the way was delicious. You can eat on a beautiful terrace overlooking the stream and the food is great.

Had a wonderful stay with Mike! Nice clean rooms, nice bed and a fantastic breakfast with bread from the bakery. Mike is an all-rounder (even if you need a technical hand with the engine 😉).

Stayed here for 2 nights on a motorcycle trip last weekend. Great B&B. Mike is a committed and helpful host. Rooms neat and clean. Good and extensive breakfast. Covered parking for the motorbike. If desired, dinner can be booked at a nearby motorcycle hotel. We will definitely come back here again.

Very friendly and attentive host. He went out of his way to help me. I just stayed one night, but everything was on point. And I got a fair price for being just one person. There was a garage available for storing my bike. Overall, one if the friendliest treatments I've had in Germany in quite some time.
