Where to stay in Rantum

I doubt many Americans travel to Sylt so my review may be from an atypical perspective. We were looking for a hotel option for 3 adults. The two bedroom apartment options at this location are super. Very nice place to stay at and enjoy the island, the apartments really have all necessary features to make the staying ideal and they thought of small details that add a value like shoe wee caps, vanity sets, sewing kits, shoe shining product.. One big downside though, the checkout is at 10:00 just so you know.

Stayed here for the weekend with friends. Really like the service quality both at the restaurant and at the reception. Rooms were clean and the suroundings just amazing. One negative thing is long procedure at the check in. Definetly room for improvement.

Absolutely amazing with children! We had our 2.5 and 10 year olds with us. The little one was so happy zooming around the grounds on a Bobby Car and using the playground. The older one loved the giant outdoor chess set and the swimming pool - we did too! And the kids' pool was great. The hotel was really clean. Warm welcome, great location on the mudflats, rooms with a view of the mudflats, lovingly furnished, everything has been thought of. Unfortunately we are only staying 3 nights, the next time for sure longer!

We were warmly welcomed by Theresa, the service was good all round! The hotel has its own charm and a great location. The room was very spacious and individually furnished. Breakfast was very good. We would love to come back!

We have now been to the Watthof repeatedly to go on vacation and it was again very nice and relaxing. Very nice ambience, rooms designed with a lot of heart, pleasant and warm staff with always open ears for wishes and a great location. We were definitely not there for the last time!

Nestled directly by the sea in Rantum is the quaint and elegant Hotel Watthof. The thatched-reed roof architecture is charming and the white house gives it a fairytale appearance. Nice family-run hotel in Tinnum, dogs are - even at no extra charge! - welcome. The rooms are comfortably furnished and the room price is very cheap for Sylt standards. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. All in all, really to be recommended! We'd love to come back

Nice simple hotel with good value for money. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, even if not up to date. But you can't ask for that at the price. I would love to come back

Lovely Property & Amazing Cuisine We had a very pleasant stay with great food and enjoyable wellness moments. The staff was very attentive when something didn't work out and resolved matters professionally. If you would like to be looked after and pampered for a couple if days, this 5*+ hotel is a perfect choice! The staff is very attentive and does everything to make you feel comfortable. Rooms are cosy and well maintained, cleaning staff does more than one round per day and even prepares your bed for the night, before you go to bed. It was a perfect location for my weekend stay in Sylt. The Hotel managers Björn and Markus extremely friendly and helpful with even the oddest requests! The appartment was clean, comfortable and spacious . Would always book this Hotel again .
