First impression – the reception desk.
There were two hotel employees at the reception desk. We approached with our suitcases — no one reacted to us. The staff continued discussing their own important matters. My husband asked if this was the reception desk. The employees replied that it was, and then continued their conversation, telling us to take a seat and wait until they finished.
Next – the apartment.
The website stated that it had a “sea view,” but we were given an apartment overlooking the parking lot and the back yard of the hotel.
We then visited the lounge bar.
The bartender brought us the menu, but we had to wait to place an order because he was busy chatting with a single female guest at a nearby table. When he finally came over, I ordered a Cosmopolitan cocktail. Instead of a Cosmopolitan, he offered me a Sex on the Beach. I said I wanted a Cosmopolitan, but he kept offering me a Sex on the Beach. It was very unpleasant.
The bartender also spoke to us in German, even though we were speaking English and had told him that we didn’t understand German. We felt like unwelcome guests.
The hotel itself is beautiful and located close to the sea, but the staff behaved terribly.
