Where to stay in Spiegelau

We have been guests of the Stadler family at the Hotel Hochriegel for many years. Pure relaxation and absolute hospitality. The wonderful new sauna area and a kitchen that leaves nothing to be desired should be emphasized. I'm looking forward to many more years in beautiful Klingenbrunn.

Always worth a visit. Now our second home in Bavaria. The Stadler family knows how to pamper their guests and enable a relaxing stay. In addition to the always excellent food, the wellness areas have become a real highlight after expansion or renovation. The rooms are also gradually being renovated more and more. And the price-performance ratio is still right here. Absolutely to be recommended.

Everything great. All nice and friendly. Special requests from the children regarding meals were never a problem either. We would love to come back!

Were there for the first time in 2019 and were happy to come back a second time. The breakfast buffet with delicious breads and baked goods was very, very good. The dinner was always very varied and delicious .. Service very good. Hopefully we can come with our grandson next year.

A very recommendable house! Friendly and helpful staff, nicely furnished, very clean rooms and exceptionally good food!

The room is incredibly clean. The kitchen has everything you need, including salt, pepper and coffee maker bags. Lots of dishes. Excellent sauna. Beautiful forest around with a cool playground. Shop selling ceramics in the town

We ( family of 2 adults and 2 kids 10+5 y/o) rented the Lusen apartment for a week. The apartment is just perfect: tastefully designed, spacious ,spotlessly clean and equipped with everything that you may need. The beds are comfortable. The sauna is very nice and relaxing. The owner, Annette, is very friendly and she's always ready to help. Annette gave us a lot of useful advises about sightseeing...

Just amazing! Very welcoming host, awesomely quiet location in the woods, equipped with all you need to relax and enjoy your time off. Sauna, BBQ, campfire place, wide open areas for activities, a nice garden and fancy apartment's. Good intermediate hiking trails all over the place. Cool things to do and to look at in the area. It was heaven staying there. So peaceful and quiet. You can hike right out the yard to trails that lead all through the Bavarian National Forest, even to nearby Spiegelau. Annette is super nice and accommodating. She keeps the gasthaus in tip top shape. Eating breakfast and dinner (cooked in our little kitchen) was PERFECT out on the balcony.

A very nice country hotel where we were warmly welcomed. Very clean, very friendly staff and a nice wellness area. The hygiene concept was implemented very well and nothing was missing. The food was also very good, since we had booked a week, we also got an excellent 5-course surprise menu. Kudos to the kitchen! There is a large parking lot. Our room faced the forest and the peace and quiet is indescribable...

Very nice Hotel in a quiet location on the forest. Directly from the house beautiful Hiking trails go. Rooms look to the forest are big enough and are cleaned daily very well. Staff very friendly ? Breakfast very plentiful. Dinner class you can choose between several dishes. Getränkek prices OK. Wellness is very generous and, above all, long Hours. The Hotel is an optimal price - performance ratio...

Great Hotel in a beautiful quiet location right on the edge of the forest. In spite of the size very informal and well managed. There are many excursion possibilities, a large swimming pool, a Sauna, and free bicycles. Tennis courts are available close by. We particularly recommend the excellent food and all at a very good price-performance ratio. Absolute Recommendation!

Very good food. Friendly attentive waiter. Rich breakfast buffet. Very nice room with a great view. Unfortunately the neighbors were pretty noisy. There is also an observation tower nearby that can be climbed. Swimming pool and sauna area are also great. Everything is very nice and very friendly.

We are here for the 2nd time to enjoy our vacation. Our room is very nice and large and well equipped. Everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful. Extra requests are fulfilled immediately (e.g. additional hangers, HDMi cables ..) That smoothes out small wrinkles ;-), which means very tasty. Saunas, fitness, massages .. The offer is very good. Could rave about it, but you should get your own impression...

Our holiday home which we visit 2-3 times a year. Everything is right here, from the comfortable rooms to the varied Breakfast Buffet - rich early dinner with choice of menu. Also kindness is a big thing here

Sehr schönes Haus mit mehreren Ferienwohnungen. Absolut unkompliziertes Einchecken, die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und alles, wie. z. B. Mülltrennung und die Getränke, die man hier haben kann wurden ausführlich erklärt. Wir haben uns sehr gut ausgehoben gefühlt und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sagenhaft.

First of all, I would say that the guesthouse Apfelbacher can be rated very, very positively in terms of service. It starts with the condition of the apartment and ends with the furnishings. As far as the location is concerned, you have pure nature here. As far as relaxation is concerned, you have to hope that other holidaymakers will also seek peace and quiet. Unfortunately, the house is very noisy...

With Franz it's just awesome. The food is fantastic, the service is super friendly and it's just homely. It calls for repetition

Hotel room is clean and the food was good. Too bad that after a 400km long journey, the Sauna was not in operation and also to friendly Ask this not been switched on. The swimming pool could only be used up to 20 hours. Furthermore, the drinks were not written up to the room and had to be paid every night. But otherwise all okay. So, ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ a ⭐⭐⭐ Hotel

Were between the years (2015/16). Two adults and a son (15). Absolutely clean and spacious room. Were with all very satisfied. The innkeepers are just great, you arrive and feel at home. Food - easy, tastes very good and the portions are huge!!! On special requests when eating is taken into consideration. We can recommend this Hotel!!!!!! and come back times over. Fam. Room great for the price. But the area when you look out the window should not be neglected (dog waste bags, empty bottles, paper garbage)

We can only recommend it to everyone. There is nothing we can fault. Rooms were clean, spacious and with a balcony in the room, what more could you want as a young person. We would love to come back and this time stay longer than just 3 nights. Greetings from Saxony :)

A quiet and relaxing stay is guaranteed here. With all basic amenities in an apartment, you will like this place for sure.

I did my booking through AirBnB and Catina was very quickly responding and explaining directions and details of booking. The Hausmeister was really accommodating and stayed up late as I arrived quite late in the evening. The house is pretty spacious, the breakfast space cosy. Recommending 👍

Had a great stay. The owner was kind and very welcoming. The breakfast was also great. The location is perfect for exploring and hiking in the Bavarian forest.

Cute little guest house with a great location. The rooms are clean and most have a small balcony. The guesthouse has a good breakfast and a very friendly staff. Very close to restaurants and grocery stores. Easy walk from the hotel to the trailheads for the national park.

I have been in Cafè Restaurant Waldblick in September 2017 for a couple of days. The place is cozy, clean and unexpensive. The owner is kind. I will try to spend there some days again in the next future

food is great Rooms are nice and ok Service in the restaurant is very nice Hotel complex and so on all very nice Would I go again: nope, because what you read here is unfortunately true and that's poison for a holiday. We were there in 2020. If there were a gentleman nicer the hotel would get 5 stars. You feel like a disruptive factor. Unfortunately. Why so bad mood? Too bad actually

We went with great expectations in this Hotel and were not disappointed. The equipment of the rooms is well thought out and practical. The Service is outstanding. The staff very friendly and empathic. The sauna area is pleasant and invites you to Relax. Also in the outdoor area, trouble-free, like a little hideaway. We will gladly come again.

We were in August 2011, in the Biohotel Playground and it has been absolutely good. I could write whole pages about how beautiful it was there. Even if I wanted to, we could fault nothing. Hotel, staff, food, rooms, Spa, ambient, trip possibility that everything will be perfect. We can recommend a holiday stay. Thank you for letting us be with you to visit
