Wonderful child and dog friendly hotel

Almost nobody of the staff speaks English and some are really unfriendly. Anyways it is very clean, good food - but not great variety - and very family friendly. Amongst the downsides of not speaking anything but German, we've been charged 30€ more than expected, but we couldn't understand why, and our email exchange before our stay was completely non-sense.

Very welcoming accommodation. Recommended. The building has great atmosphere and beautiful garden. The owner was helpful and flexible with our special requests. Thank you again! The walls are thick (as it is older but fully renovated building). This is not that hotel where you can hear all of the other guests.

Typical german romantic hotel in the beatiful countryside. The interior of the hotel is a little bit older (except the new bathroom) , but everything is really clean and comfortable. The owner of the hotel is very sympatic and friendly lady. Good coffee and fantastic breakfast.

Wireless is okay, but not very fast. Parking next to the hotel is for free. But the highlight is the kindness of the hotel manager.

In the Hotel Buchberg you are in good hands, as can be read in many reviews. But the unique thing about this house is the friendliness of the hosts. The two show a warmth towards their guests that is not found in any other hotel. Thank you for the wonderful evening I was allowed to experience.

The rooms are not big, but giant. This is by far the hotel that remained in my heart as the most pleasant memory. Would come here anytime I had the chance. It looks amazing, it is very comfortable, the food is good, the location is great, enough parking spots. For me, the cherry on the top was a very nice cat that I could play with.

We stayed at the Hanauer Hof for a week with our 2-year-old daughter in August. Ms. Hanauer is very welcoming and it was a wonderful stay. There is something for children of all ages and the little one is still raving about it. Come again.

Beautiful location, great food and a super attentive and friendly Stoiber family who want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There were two of us with our dogs for 4 days. A varied breakfast and salad buffet for evenings, as well as a very attractive offer as part of the half-board. Great hiking trails can be reached directly from the hotel.

A down-to-earth Hotel, a super kindly staff, incl. Boss, a beautiful nature and is a direct jump to the CZ. Only the the posted menu, we had to leave. Even the woman was just sick of it. The son was sick of, however, was only 5 years old. I was still noticeably hungry, so I got lucky a little something from the kitchen. The bottom line is - TOP

Rarely have we spent our family vacation with 2 children so wonderful. The Kids were happy in the Kids Club, the property was very nice, the food amazing and the hospitality in the Hotel you feel immediately. The Hotel is an absolute recommendation.

Beautiful hotel with a swimming pool, all inclusive from breakfast and lunch to afternoon coffee and cake and a hearty dinner with nice people in the evening in the bar, everything is there, not far from the Czech border, interesting for shopping!

The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. There are lovely hikes in the surrounding area, and there's plenty to do for children. The rooms are clean and functional. We had a terrace. The pool was 28°C and the whirlpool was 32°C. Breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. Drinks are free. Everything was excellent.

A great short trip. The room and food were top-notch. We lacked nothing. The meal times meant there weren't any crowds at the buffet. We used the indoor pool every day. Excursion tips are available at reception. We especially enjoyed the various activities for the kids, including cotton candy, magicians, and more.

It is a very nice hotel with a lovely staff, but.. 300 EUR/1 night/2 persons is ridiculously expensive: average (but clean) room, lunch and dinner is nice but not special (for the price), not so nice area at saunas. Great breakfast, great restrooms, lovely cats:)

The food is excellent and the location is great! The people that run the place are very friendlly. Nice beer and a very nice terrace! On weekends they were cooking their specialities in a wood fire! We went around 8:00pm and it was a short menu so hard to tell how good this place can be. I just got German potato salad which was average grocery store quality. I did taste the sausage and it was good. This place accommodates groups well and is a nice atmosphere right near the museum in NeuKirchen.

The hotel itself is calm and comfortable. Rooms are nicely renovated and the location is nice. The only negative thing was the service, as we felt quite unwelcome from the second we arrived until we left. These things are highly subjective, but the person serving us (who we believe was the owner) was rude and unfriendly. Why? We do not know.

Very good facilities, friendly staff (although they speak a very poor English, they were trying to help). I'd say this is perhaps the best hotel in the city. The restaurant is open until later than other guesthouses in the area. A menu in English would be helpful.

Room was clean, breakfast quite good and variate. Omelette and warm food missing. Decent coffee tough. Only the boss is speaking English. The value for the money was good and I will return if I will need to visit that location again.

We had the wood room for 6 days at the end of August including half board. The boss and her son were very good hosts, we felt very comfortable with them! The Hotel forest schlößl is unique in what relates to the family atmosphere. The rooms are top notch. The culinary delicacies in the Hotel as well as in the newly established forest lounge enchant every palate. The Spa area is beautiful and the new pool invites guests to Relax. All in all, Top!

Stayed here for new years eve in the beautiful Bavarian forest. The hotel is not an old castle even if some rooms or an outside view from one angle looks like one. The hotel consists of a main building and some satellites. Some of those are connected by underground tunnel walkways. Some of the satellites like our 4 flat house are rather old and you must walk outside quite a bit to reach the Restaurant...

Nice hotel located in a tiny village in Bavaria near the border or czechia. The rooms are nice but I could not use the shower properly because of the roof. There is WiFi but you have to pay for it and you can only use it in the lobby and restaurants which is a downer. Besides that the food is okay. Very nice hosts, very accommodating and friendly. The children had a lot of fun with the many farm animals and driving the tractor. The daily feeding was always a highlight.
