Good beds. The rest lacking a bit. Comfortable beds. Roomy. Seemed clean enough. But… No internet. No room keys, reception had to open the rooms every time. Pool was closed. Air conditioning didn’t work, so rooms were very hot.

The "Achat" is a highly recommended hotel in Wetzlar, which I have enjoyed visiting for many years. The rooms are quiet and modern, some even have bathtubs. The walk between the guest rooms and the large breakfast room is a bit long, as it leads past several conference rooms. The breakfast is good, but a bit overpriced at €21.50. However, the evening sauna is included. Unfortunately, the plunge pool...

Nice hotel with ample parking.

Very average, some rooms don't have air conditioning! Some people at the hotel front desk were not very friendly

The hotel has the facilities but the whole place looks like it got stuck in the early 19th century. The rooms are large and there are some modern cupboards in but the toilets is very old and there are cracked tiles and some dirt around the toilet bowl and the shower. The cleanliness of the toilets is quite disappointing. The reception seems modern but it feels like that is where they stopped caring...

Nice hotel, new and clean, staff polite and spoke good English. Bar was good but closed at 10pm. The hotel reception area had a very bad smell of bad eggs, think the drains needed checking. Good underground parking.

Super friendly Staff and always helpful. Terrace was lovely for drinks and the nearby running river provided a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms were clean and Hotel is centrally located for a city tour of the old city or trip to the mall all within short walking distance.

Solid hotel. Rooms are pretty hot but they offer fans at reception. Breakfast is great as well!

Nice hotel near my work and less than a 10 minute walk from the old city. The staff is excellent here, they work really hard and are very helpful. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and has everything you could want and more. Great value here as well.

Hotel is quite near the centre and to the Altstadt. Room had everything including tea and coffee facilities, and was clean. Comfortable beds too. Also underground car parking was nice to have. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.

We liked everything. The breakfast and the staff were amazing. The room was very clean, and comfortable (it was an Executive Apartment). The venue is perfect, near to the old town, a lot of small eateries and restaurants around. Our windows were facing to the garden (at summer time this is an open air swimming pool). Beautiful! A simple hotel. The nice part is that from 5 p.m. you can enjoy free drinks, including wine and beer. Breakfast was quite weak, and there are very few parking spaces — it’s hard to find parking nearby.

The hotel rooms have seen their best times, yet they are clean and all is functioning. Last refurbishment probably in 80ties. The reception was missing, getting keys from neighboring hotel. This also means there is no evening life - so prepare yourselves. Breakfast was nice - fruits, vegetables, eggs - quite nice choice. This is a hotel you want to pick if you visit town for work or want to go to old...

We have come to appreciate this hotel and will probably make it our regular hotel as we visit our daughter several times every year. In short: it is nicely furnished. The rooms are all calm and decorated in white. Everything was very clean and the breakfast is more than good. The staff is very nice. Parking spaces available all around :-)

Everything fine. Breakfast was delicious

The beds were uncomfortable, the room was very noisy. The environment is quiet, apart from the nocturnal highway noise. But you can only hear them when the wind is bad. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very poor, you have to order every single little thing, that's annoying. Price close to the tolerance limit.

Lovely small hotel close to the historic part of Wetzlar. An easy bus ride to the Leica Museum. Recommend a taxi from train station as there is some uphill walking. Cosy room, great restaurant, excellent breakfasts.

I really enjoyed the hotel, rooms were clean and super cozy. I enjoyed the dinner in the hotel, dishes looked so good and were truly extraordinary. Also the stuff we’re super open and helpful

I spent two very pleasant nights in a large, modern room with a very nice shower room in this privately run hotel and felt really good. The staff are exceptionally friendly and they obviously have a lot of trust in their guests: there is a fridge with drinks on the ground floor that you can help yourself to and then indicate what you took when paying. That speaks volumes for the owners and the guests...

The hotel is just a few minutes from the cathedral and the old town, on a main road, but we still had a quiet room. It wasn't very modern, but it was big enough, with a desk and separate couch (unfortunately without a coffee table). Very comfortable beds. You have to be careful in the shower: it has neither a door nor a curtain - if you don't want the bathroom to flood, you shouldn't turn the water...

simply renovated hotel with a nice bathroom, very good location and clean rooms with good beds, breakfast buffet is OK, nothing special but the friendliness of the service left a lot to be desired, brusque and bossy, we were a bit irritated just because I wanted to order a 5-minute egg

Hotel is very old fashioned. Nothing luxurious, plain rooms and squieeky beds. Ok for bussines stay. But restaurant. That is whole another story. Very nice ambient, and food is siply delicious. I tried various versions of schnitzel amd all were sooo good. Staff is same for hotel and restsurant. And they are nice, polite and freindly. All in all nice place to stay if you are not too picky of fancy rooms

Could have more vegan options, other than that this place is really nice. Comfy atmosphere and really friendly staff.

We were very happy with the hotel. The only negative thing was that the restaurant and bar were closed. When the reception closed shortly after nine, there was no place to stay except in the room. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. I will recommend the hotel.

Really beautifully located in old town. Wetzlar has a beautiful cathedral just three minutes away by foot. Learn about Goethe and his life and love in Wetzlar. Eat at Landsknecht restaurant at Kornmarkt. Lovely people at reception. Parking is along the streets for free.

The hotel is close to the historic center. That's the only positive point. The rooms aren't exactly clean. There are cobwebs on the ceiling, the carpet is stained and the bathroom is just about OK. The staff in general seem overwhelmed. There is no compensation offered for not having the room cleaned if you stay for several days. One can only hope that something changes quickly.

Very nice lady at reception - check in was simple - really nice hotel - excellent choices for breakfast - although it was self service there were two very helpful waitresses on hand to help if needed 😀

In the past I must have gotten lucky, this time not. Rooms on fourth floor are small, hot, only have a small window, and most importantly the bed was uncomfortable and sideways tilted (room 417). At some point in the night or morning there were repeated noises of boxes of bottles (or dishes) being moved around. This was our 3rd stay. The Owners work so hard to achieve perfection and they over succeed. All staff are brilliant. Awesome food, service, bedrooms are very comfortable with everything provided. So clean and the attention to detail is remarkable. Well done team Hotel Blankenfeld! Looking forward to our next stay.

Our home away from home. The staff is attentive, the property is sparkling clean and the food is always amazing from the lamb chops, to the salmon, to the salads, it’s all perfectly prepared and plated. The property sits in a quiet cul de sac in a neighborhood in Bublingshausen, but is a quick walk or bus ride to downtown Wetzlar.

No electric kettle in the room.

The room is well-equipped and comfortable. However, the traffic noise is bothersome when the window is open. It's relatively noisy, as the hotel is surrounded by several main roads and highways. If you arrive by train, the hotel is just around the corner. There's also a shopping center opposite the hotel.

There is a large terrace and a beautiful environment. The room is large. The facilities are relatively old and the hygiene is average. There is a large supermarket and McDonald's nearby. It is OK.

1-night-stay 1-night-stay on business trip. Hotel condition: new, nothing to complain. Location is quiet, restaurants are about 15 minutes walking along the river banks.

All you need to stay the night and have a breakfast. In the room is no feature at all to have a drink. A tea or coffee would be appreciated in the room.

Six of us stayed for one night during a canoe tour in August. Everyone liked their room, it was clean and tidy. Yes the bathroom was quite small but sufficient for one person. Two people at the same time is already very cuddly. I would also like to mention the wonderful location. On the one hand you quickly have shops (Penny, etc...), Sparkasse and restaurants. On the other side of the river there...

Thank you for the friendly and helpful service. We were able to store our paddling gear in the garage until we left. Our room was pleasantly quiet overlooking the river. We slept very well with the window open. (mosquito screen). The breakfast buffet was typical for a hotel of this class: sufficient and good. We'd love to come back.

Very good location, just a few steps to the bridge over the Lahn. 5 minutes to the old town. The rooms in the pension are very well furnished. Reception very nice. Breakfast was really good, good selection. Price performance is okay.
