Hotel Sudstrand Auf Amrum in Wittdun

Great hotel, friendly staff, and simply cozy.

The breakfast was very good; egg dishes were freshly prepared and not left sitting on a warming tray for ages.

The room was equipped with everything you could need and, most importantly, clean!

We (a retired couple with a dog) stayed at the Südstrand Hotel for three nights at the beginning of November 2025. The location was perfect for us. It was within walking distance of the hotel, in a quiet, central location close to the town center, and also to the beach. The staff, including the owners, were nice, friendly, and accommodating. The entire apartment in this small hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet offered something for everyone. A two-course dinner was also available. Unfortunately, we have to deduct one point here, as the meat or fish option for vegetarians was simply deducted. This was a bit meager, especially considering the "good" price. We felt comfortable here and will definitely come back.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. However, I encountered a few issues: the internet did not work at all during my stay, which was quite frustrating, and the heating system struggled to keep up with the cold temperatures at night. If these aspects were improved, the experience would be excellent!

We spent a wonderful break on the beautiful island and stayed at the Hotel Südstrand for the first time.
We received a warm and friendly welcome, and everything was excellently organized.
We felt incredibly comfortable from the very first moment.
Very clean, comfortable, and the breakfast left nothing to be desired.
Everyone we met was so friendly, and we've now found a new favorite place on the island!

I stayed at the hotel for three nights. The room was well-equipped. The staff and service were simply fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was equally great. They had everything, including freshly prepared scrambled eggs.
The location is great, with everything easily accessible. I would gladly return.

A very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, very friendly and open interaction, and very accommodating. You immediately feel at home, comfortable, and well looked after. My apartment was furnished with great attention to detail, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was exceptionally varied, plentiful, and delicious. If I could have, I would have stayed longer. ☺️

Beautiful hotel, we loved it there and we will return! We stayed 2 nights only and the weather was not the best, is better to stay longer, min 5 nights I would suggest. Nice breakfast and letters in the morning with excursions and suggestions about what you can do that day. The hotel is very close to everything, my heart remained in Amrum this summer :)

Stayed in this hotel for 4days with a broken foot finger by car accident. The room was cozy, clean, and nice color interior which I liked very much. More than that, the people in this hotel was extremely kind. They brought me selection of breakfast to my table as I had a difficulty to walk with my foot injury. Also they kindly kept my ice bags to cool my foot and broght them to my room several times to change them. On the last day when I needed to leave the hotel very early due to the Ferry time, the hotel made a breakfast box ready with a heart-warming personal message hand-written by the hotel owner. Thank you Team! I really appreciate your warm-hearted kindness. Coming from Japan and got into such an accident, but I left the island with my heart filled with warmth. I am recovering well!
