Jaz Maraya Resort

We spent the last week of September at the hotel and were absolutely delighted with our stay, both in terms of the infrastructure and the staff. The hotel is definitely up to European standards. We felt well taken care of in every aspect. The hotel grounds are very safe, and despite the large number of guests, it was peaceful. There are beautiful coral reefs near the hotel. The only downside to the hotel's location is the lack of direct access to the sea. Overall, we rate the hotel five stars and highly recommend staying here.

Jaz Maraya and its top-notch staff saved our vacation! We booked a different hotel via TUI (Coral Hills, which we now call “the purgatory”), which was unbearable to stay in. We contacted the agency to relocate us but they were not helpful. So I reached out to the hotel on our own and made the booking. We arrived traumatized from a bad experience and entered an absolute dream! We were taken care of from the second we entered the premises. The food is tasty, fresh and delicious. Drinks are as good as in some of the best bars in big European and US cities. The staff are always smiling and helpful. Everything is clean and accessible (unlike the other hotel, which looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a year). And most importantly, everywhere you look, it’s just so beautiful and aesthetic! And as a bonus, the hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport. Huge thanks to everyone, including Mr. Azim, who made our stay absolutely delightful!

This is our 3rd trip to Egypt and I must say that this hotel is the best so far. The food is really good, the crew is very friendly and helpful. The biggest pro is the diving spot placed in a small bay which enables snorkeling without worries of the high waves.

We stayed one week in Jaz Maraya at the end of April 2024. Overall the hotel offers good value for money. Staff are very friendly & helpful (respect to all the waiters & cleaners working in the heat and always with a smile). The staff definitely is the strength of the hotel.

The aqua park is amazing and a big plus with children. Food in the restaurant is good, with sufficient variety. The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere for children, something we liked a lot.

In terms of downsides, the bathrooms feel tired, the tiles and grout definitely need refurbishment to allow for a 5* experience. Managers were helpful to listen to our feedback regarding this.

Also, while the beach area is nice, the waterfront consists of small pebble stones (not sand) and is very undeep (good for kids, less so for adults).

The rooms are awesome and always clean. The service is great, everyone is super nice! There are plenty of different activities offered with the nicest instructors possible. The scenery is gorgeous, an awesome view on the red sea and beautiful sunsets.

It’s been almost 5 years how Jaz Maraya is one of my favorite hotels around the Egypt.

A very carrying and positive personal, great food and an amazing location. It’s a very beautiful place where you always want to come back.

For big families is very good, so your kids can find new friends from other countries.
Also here’s a very good entertainment, animators, different activities and evening show with dancers and singers.

Family Resort with many children

Our stay at this hotel was largely enjoyable, with several highlights and a few areas that could use some enhancement. Initially, we weren't aware that the hotel primarily caters to families, with a significant portion of the guests being children under the age of six. This information would have been useful during the booking process to set proper expectations.

A big disappointment are the prices for transport services, especially from the airport. Be aware that you can book transport for about 12€ with the taxi provider at the airport if you are friendly and not afraid to negotiate (which still is much for Egypt). The hotel will charge you about 33€. That’s unreasonable.

The dining experience was good overall, though the variety for vegetarians left something to be desired, lacking in diversity and protein. On a positive note, the staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist, contributing significantly to the quality of our stay.

The rooms and the hotel's facilities were modern and impressive, aligning with our expectations for comfort and style. The internet service, while generally okay, suffered from instability, which could be frustrating at times.

A standout feature of the hotel is its fantastic reef, offering an excellent opportunity for snorkeling enthusiasts to explore marine life.

In summary, our stay was pleasant, supported by excellent service and facilities.
People without children might want to look for a more quiet accommodation.

We came to Egypt for the first time! Very lucky with the hotel, the service - wow. The animation team does an amazing job! Every day they delighted us with their smile and different shows! Made our holiday 100 percent! Wait for us again!

We had a fantastic time at this hotel! The atmosphere is delightful, and every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The food was delicious, and the pool and beach were fantastic. Huge thanks to the hotel for the warm welcome and excellent service. The animation team was outstanding, from the morning exercises to the evening performances. Kudos to the entire staff for their incredible hospitality. We can't wait to visit again!

We actually never usually leave reviews for a hotel but for this place we will make an exception because our 2 weeks here was an amazing experience and well-worth the money! Comfortable beds/rooms, lovely surroundings and the food and drinks much better than I have had at similar places before! Even my husband, who is a very picky eater was very satisfied! But the biggest advantage that the hotel has is it’s staff - the servers were so incredibly friendly and eager to help with anything that we desired (and some things on their own initiative, and always with the biggest smile on their face! We were treated like family from the first day, for the first time in an Egyptian hotel, we felt truely welcome and our next visit can not come soon enough , we only hope that the same staff is there and we hope that they know how appreciated they are. And one last tip - try the fish dishes, they are amazing!
