Great hotel. Lots of cupboard space. Cleaned every day. All staff were happy and friendly. Couldn't fault it apart from.... After arranging our evening around a cabaret act that we wanted to see - twice they didn't turn up. Not good.

This is one of the best holiday hotels we have stayed in ! The location is superb and all the staff are fantastic. Special thanks to Patrick, Francisca and Jule they were wonderful. The rooms were large well equipped and clean . It was very spacious with a large balcony and the most amazing views . The whole experience was fantastic. We truly can’t praise all the staff enough , they were all fantastic. As far as the pool goes it was beautiful with the best views you could imagine. The food was great along with all the staff in the dining room. A truly great experience and a great venue

I already miss this place - it does not have a luxury touch, but everything is here. I liked their fresh food, little live music stage at dinner time, and multiple programms for adults as well even though I couldn't try any of them. Actually you will be kind of busy swimming all the time at Amadores beach, it's one of the best of the island. It was very spacious that I couldn't even figure out the floors until the last day and would get lost at every step.

Booked a double room with sea views, the pictures are a bit misleading as you only have slight lateral sea views and no view of the pool, Just the main road and an urbanisation. Disappointing as the food has been excellent in the buffet restaurant as well as the service. The Spa is very nice and allows children during certain times. I would be writing a much more positive review if it weren't for the poor view. The pool areas are also nice. I would recommend anyone booking to request not to be in block 4.

Brilliant hotel, staff are very welcoming and helpful. The place is kept immaculate. We stayed in the presidential suite and it was perfect for me and the misses and 2 teenagers. The food is really good. You definitely get value for money and the service is spectacular. The views around the hotel are great. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be coming back. Yes the main entrance isn't open at the moment due to some work going on but it make very little difference to your stay. We found it quite handy to come up in the lift from the road. It made sense. The gym has enough to give you a workout. Its not stacked with equipment but it does the job. The Spa is good too. We had a massage and it was brilliant. So enjoy and treat yourselves to an amazing stay at the Gloria palace royal. You will love it.

Reading all the good reviews was really excited to visit Gloria Palace Royal but after the arrival was immediately disappointed by the customer service.
Hotel has got amazing views and good day entertainment and that is all the good things I can say about it.
I was travelling with my family, 2 adults and two children, all inclusive.
Firstly when we arrived, after 5h flight, they couldn’t accommodate us to the joined room which was promised before. After one night we had to move all the luggage to another room (no valet to help you with the luggage and we were out of the room for 2h till check in time).
You need to be extremely patient as you wait constantly to be served by the bar staff, there are no bracelets so you need to scan the card every time you want to order something (when you’re all inclusive). The card gets faulty a lot so you need to go to the reception to get a new one or fix the one you have.
Snack bar only serves food to the table, you cannot take it with you to the sun lounge.
There is no smoking area so people smoke next to you at the pool area, when you’re eating, also next to the young children pool.
Entertainment at night is very poor, during our 7 day stay we haven’t experienced anything interesting.
The food was nice but very poor choice. When you’re with the bigger party you cannot sit at the table with the view as it’s only for 2 people.
Lastly on our departure date, we had late transfer and we could not use our card to order drinks at the bar or restaurant despite constant visits to the reception desk. Manager was blaming anyone else but the restaurant and the restaurant did not seem to bother with getting us anything to drink till we finished our meal. Last day should be as easy and relaxing as possible whereas for us it was extremely frustrating and stressful.
Overall value for money was very bad.

We loved it!beautiful rooms with view and lots of nice food and the amazing location at the beach. We also loved the miniclub for children! They were very kind and sweet! A great recommendation!

Great room and balcony, helpful and very friendly staff willing to go the extra mile, every day we come back to a very clean room. We highly recommend Gloria Palace Royal Hotel and Spa. Surpasses all 5 star hotels we’ve been to.

This certainly was a Christmas stay to remember, excellent throughout from the moment of arriving to that on sadly leaving. I found everything was geared for the enjoyment of the guests. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is first class with so many options in the buffet restaurant at breakfast, lunch and dinner - the Christmas evening meal being so well planned and catered. Rooms are spacious, cleaned daily, with plenty of wardrobe space and a generous balcony overlooking the bay of Amadores with its glorious sunset. My room had a separate shower and bath (Tip bring own hair conditioner, though if you forget there is a "Spar" shop 100 metres away!) Outside the pool areas are again cleaned daily with many sun loungers for you to lie on the provided towels. The pool, sun terrace, mirador bar on the same level as reception also benefits from a variety of lounger beds and seemed to be used almost entirely by adults. The spa area is well used. However what really "makes the hotel"in my opinion, are the staff, no matter their role. All were always so cheerful, friendly and eager to help. We will be back.

Had a great week - room, food, staff, service - all so pleasing, already looking at dates to go back! Loved the infinity pool!
Only catch.. due to rock fall (currently being fixed) entry access to reception was up a steep and cobbled drive.
