Room was great ,clean with good facilities breakfast was excellent there is some room updates being done and on going Renovation

Overall a good stay, nothing fancy but not bad either. Rooms were quite outdated and I wouldn’t call it rustic. Good breakfast.

We were upgraded on arrival and the room was brand new. Beautiful room, decoration, quality linen and towels. Good breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. Really enjoyed our stay!

Maybe 3 1/2 stars. Old-fashioned, has seen better days but clean, friendly staff, good breakfast choices, and the breakfeast area is nice and spacious. No a/c, but that would be required only a few days during the year. Didn't spot any elevator for customers.

Pricey to stay, really 50-60's (not retro... everything original from that time :) ), but no other choice if you have to stay in Äänekoski.

A great place for a wedding. The weather was reasonably warm outside, and when there were still more than a hundred guests inside, the air conditioning did not seem sufficient. Do you know if the air conditioning anywhere would have been enough to keep the places cool, that's how warm it was outside. But mainly for this reason, I drop one star from the review. It's usually hard for me to get five stars

Really nice place for a relaxing stay! Cottages are in reasonable distances from each other, free rowing boat is great, and the beach (rental) sauna amazing! Communication via email was a bit difficult, so I would recommend you to rather make a phone call. But in person Antti has been very helpful and nice!

Absolutely love this place. It’s quiet and have got a good beach 200m from our cottage. Well maintained cottage and home appliances. Host of the property is friendly. My kids loved this place because of the host have a small farm with sheep and rabbits. The lake is beautiful. Recommend to people and families who would appreciate the forest surroundings and nature.

lot of mosquito, they can easy use around area, near water and near bungalows lamps anti-mosquito, same in rooms some Raid products or similar against mosquito and ants. Place have quiet and some nice view, but need more good take care. when enter in cottages, spiders say Hellou to you.

This hotel has an 80s feel to it. It looks like an old bunker and tthe rooms are also... Well vintage. Good breakfast!

To those who go to this hotel, I recommend you to take bus or car and not try to walk since the hotel is located above a steep hill. Don't be fooled by the outside look of the hotel. Though it might look very glim and boring on the outside, it's certainly refreshing inside. It has amazing spa at night, bowling hall, and bar is also available for the night, although it closes fairly soon.

Excellent Breakfast,nice grounds,not a bad Spa and swimming pool,but a lot of people.Of the minuses-the old rooms,no polotentsesushitelya. In winter the rooms get cool enough-told them-got the radiator). In General, for a family with a child is a good enough place.but not more than a couple of days.

We spent our wedding night here. The room was nice and big. The Bed was very comfortable. I loved their breakfast, it had different choices. The eggs were really good. It was an expensive hotel but worth the price.

Very high quality service and food. Everything is where it should be and wines, food, etc. is top-notch for each price category. I recommend making dinner reservation with the room reservation since the place is very popular. Only downside is that you can hear some noice through the ventilation channels, but this wasn't bothersome to us. Sincerely, Miika

Clean and well kept place with friendly staff. They only lost the fifth star due to no tea/coffee in room (although available at bar) and no bacon at breakfast (although very nice bread selection).

The room is a bit small but functional. I just wish there is a normal office table and chair☺️ the stuff there is super nice!

The hotel operates on the green concept, even the door key is made from the recycled wood (amazing it is). The location is ideal. Room a bit small, but in view of its location, the tradeoff is worth it. The shopping street/downtown area, marine port and some sightseeing venues are within the walking distance. Coffee is available 24/7, it is a great plus.

We booked here as a treat quite last minute due to impeding circumstances and it was such a lovely stay! The hotel was absolutely beautiful in every corner and the service all around was excellent; The staff can’t do enough for you and the cleanliness is top notch. Will definitely be recommending this place.

The room with the sauna was roomy and nice, with downtown views. Perfect place to observe the New Year's fireworks.

The place appear to be very popular at that time, that we had to wait for 5-7 minutes before we got sitted (many tables were coincidently reserved for a private event on that day). Really nice hotel, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained with nice facilities. The pool is small and the gym is a bit limited, sauna is good. The breakfast was high quality and the restaurant / bar had good food and beer with great staff. There were sports on TV and a few live performances which were very good. Short walk to town.

Best location in the city! Definitely worth while for a visit. Location is as central as you can get, all shops, restaurants and services nearby. Rooms are good, staff is excellent and breakfast was high quality. There were many people coming in the morning just to have breakfast with friends. Breakfast room was little and crowded, but good. Maybe some noise cancelling materials to walls and ceilings...

Really nice hotel. Great restaurant with open kitchen. Was upgraded to a room with a sauna. Had one of the best night sleeps. No one at reception to answer my call at 21:30 as I looked for help to turn on the sauna with reduction in rating for service. Other then that staff very friendly. Car park location was difficult to find.

Since the hotel doesn't have any parking very nearby, we followed the extremely complicated instructions on the hotel's website for the parking garage. The room is clean, but the bed is smaller compare to other hotel for standard room. We checked in on Sunday. And the restaurant is not operating, the room need to walk thru the tunnel and walk back to receptions. Not convenient at all.

While the room looks old, it has something that most hotels don’t in winter - air conditioning. This is great because it means we don’t have to open the windows to avoid having a hot and stuffy sleep! There is also no tea/coffee and kettle provided. But their breakfast is good, with plenty of selections.

Convenient and easy place to stay overnight in the middle of the city. The extra beds were a bit old and tired but the main beds worked well, the room was clean and the coffee/tea facilities a great surprise.

Would be good to have parking. There was no blender on the window. Too bright to sleep. Also would be good to have a shower door. Easy to check in. Everything is very near. Comfortable and nice looking furniture.

Rooms are nice and big enough (for a family 2+2). Beds are comfy, showers are clean, all required equipment is available in the room. Automated check-in and check-out is a huge advantage. I would recommend it mostly for one night sleepover as there are no restaurants or bars in the hotel.

Nice room, no staff on site most of the time, you get a door code by email. Simple as long as everything goes OK. The fire alarm went off while we were there, and the fire department showed up -- still no staff though. Tried to call the help number but didn't seem to go through. Nice hotel room though, with a reasonable price. Also there is no free parking on site.
