Where to stay in Akaslompolo

I love how this place has a ski bus that goes around different lapland hotels to pick up people and takes them to slopes. Place is beautiful and peaceful

We did not stay at the hotel but had a problem with the bus that was supposed to pick us up at Äkäshotelli, it did not show. There was a super friendly lady at the reception who went all the way to help us! And the food in their restaurant was delicious. If their hotel is as great as the service we experienced, than this is a top hotel :)

€9 per person for the sauna/pool when you're not staying in the hotel. This was perfect so we could relax and shower before getting the bus to the airport

Family apartment was an ideal size. But lacking a cooker and utensils so you can't do a Family meals only frozen meals.

Great location for families and accommodates for it all. Rooms were great with drying cabinets, saunas and a small kitchen with dishwasher etc.

Had an amazing visit to Lapland with Inghams. The food in this hotel restaurant was really good, the service was first class and the staff were excellent.

Reasonable hotel, decent food. It's not too far from ski slopes or the ice hotel /snow Village. Which are a short bus ride away. There is a sauna in each room but the rooms are a little dated. The frozen lake a few minutes walk away is great for spotting the aurora.

A great base to explore the local area, shops, frozen lake, cross country skiing. Staff were all very friendly and incredibly helpful. My only thought that is slightly negative is the fact that the kids food on full board was very samey. Chicken nuggets and chips on most days. However, we will definitely be back.

Hotel is basic but meets your needs, food was always cold and staff weren't very friendly in the restaurant, reception staff were much nicer Was here for Christmas and disappointed in lack of choice of foods

Staff were great. Rooms were clean and pleasant if very warm. We were there with Tui but found the staff at reception and behind the bar much more knowledgeable and helpful.

Hotel Ylläshumina is a great place to spend a long weekend or even a week. The cross-country tracks start in the backyard and there is ski equipment rental and ski services on the spot, so you don’t have to walk anywhere if you want to get your ski waxed or take a lesson. I had a wonderful week in Humina. Cross country tracks start close by. Evening buffet is exceptional with a special Lappland Buffet on a Thursday. It is easy to get in contact with other guests. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Arctic pool only twice a week, but it is quite an experience (bring a woolen hat to the pool. Thanks for everything!

Such a lovely hotel to stay in. The older lady at reception was always willing to help us with booking activities, giving us advice etc. Our lodge had our own sauna and we were right next to the cross country skiing trails. And on one of the nights we stayed in we even managed to see the Northern lights outside our lodge. The buffet dinner is also decent value for Finland. We had a relaxing few days...

Lovely place to stay. Rooms are in cabins and are very cosy, spotlessly clean with TV, fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing with lots of choice on the buffets both breakfast and in the evening. The separate bistro and bar were also great offering alternative food options. Felt a very homely place to stay and would highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel. Not too big and it has al you need. Warming up at the fireplace in the cosy pub is great. The rooms are good, maybe the shower isn’t perfect but it does what it need to do. We had a lovely stay here for 8 days. We did not had a lot of contact with the reception, but when. They were friendly and helpful. The housing was cute, but I'll advice you to turn of heating around 8 o clock pm. It gets really hot really fast. The sauna they add is relaxing and fits for 2 persons. Pretty good cabins, modern design, they have just been renovated. Fits a 4-people family perfectly!!!

Nice place in the woods. Perfect for hiking, not far from the city and friendly staff. The cabin was fine, but the beds are small, the stairs are steep and the ceiling is very low. Good value for money.

I have no idea why there are very few reviews on about this resort. I have recently returned from my second stay at Kuerkaltio Resort. The first being around this time last year . Lovely small hamlet style went in winter looks beautiful with snow just 20 minute walk from main town, includes sauna and and all cooking equipment you could realistically need with comfy beds but all one bedroom very open plan. Cosy appartments with sauna and a small but functional kitchen. Sleeping room under roof may get quite warm.

Spacious and perfect for a family of four. Well equipped with a sauna and fireplace. We were welcomed by the owner and he was available for help while we stayed at the cottage.

The house “OUTA” was very nicely situated. A little “out” in the forest with some privacy and the forest directly surrounding but still everything in the village reachable within only a few meters. The accomodation was perfect. Everything was arranged as agreed and informed. Absolutely no problems at all. Also the location was perfect. In a quite area, but still close to all activities, stores and restaurants. I can recommend these chalets for everyone who is visiting Äkäslompolo !
