The wilderness hotel is absolutely fantastic. The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying staying there. Buffet food selection is first class. Activities are fantastic and varied. We were blessed to see the Aurora lights dancing, absolutely amazing. Snowmobiles were great, especially in the powder snow. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an...
We join the Aurora Break and stag 3 nights. Although we not see northern night, the activity is good. Buffet is delicious. And the staff is really helpful and make us warm. Recommend to stay here if you visit Lapland
An amazing 3 night short break based from this wonderful hotel. Comfortable rooms with underfloor heating, delicious food each day from the buffet and of course amazing range of activities to make the most of this special part of the world. For the snowshoe safari, we were treated to a breathtaking display of aurora. Hiking through the forest to reach the frozen lake under the stars and aurora was...
The hotel’s breakfast was excellent and very varied, definitely worth trying. The rooms were clean and tidy with an amazing view, especially if you plan to see the Northern Lights. The staff were very cheerful and kind, always willing to help. The hotel’s transport service was also excellent.
We had a lovely cabin with lake view and are very thankful that we could switch to this one since it was low season! Thank you so much ☺️ The cabin was sooo cozy and the smell of the sauna amazing! We loved all the little details and would just add bathrobes! Unfortunately the aurora alert is not complimentary like in other hotels, that’s a bit of a negative point. The equipment and the fury are...
The hotel was very clean. The breakfast area was especially great. There was only shampoo, no conditioner. We were able to use the sauna, which was shaped like a cabin, for 10€ for 30 minutes.

Hands down one of the most badass experiences I’ve had. Sleeping out on a frozen lake, dragged into position by snowmobile, watching the Northern Lights from bed—it doesn’t get better. The cabin was simple but solid—warm, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The whole setup is just smart and well done. If you’re after something that feels remote but still comfortable, this is the spot.
This was honestly the coolest thing we’ve ever done. We spent two nights out on frozen Lake Inari, sleeping under the stars and Northern Lights, which put on the most incredible show both nights. I slept like a baby with the warm, cozy cabin and super comfy bed. The cabins have everything you need—heating, a toilet, even a power bank to charge your phone. One night we joined dinner in the Kota, and...
The owner and his colleagues are very nice. Try to help. We temporarily joined the Aurora Group. You can ask to be taken to the center of the lake a little later. There are many thoughtful services.
A very quirky, but truly wonderful experience. I won't waste your time by repeating all the fantastic things which people have already written, but the executive summary is: 1) Atte and his team are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. 2) The cabins were far more comfortable and warm than I expected. 3) This is close to the best nailed on Aurora sighting you are going to find. Just a few things...
What a unique place to stay! An amazing experience.
Went in March from Australia to Lake Inari, desperate to see Northern Lights for two nights. Upon arrival at Lake Inari Mobile Cabins, Atte & Alexis welcomed us, they fired up a real Finnish Sauna, a shock to the system but absolutely invigorating for the body & mind. The main house had showers and breakfast /lounge area, was very cozy, spotlessly clean & ample charging stations. Warm as toast, with...

What a beautiful hotel! Unfortunately we only stayed one night. The room was very cozy and seemed to be quite new. On the hallway you could still smell the timber. The breakfast was delicious and offered a big variety of food. We'd definitely come again!
The room was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was great and the allergins were marked clearly. The food was amazing and the staff was very kind.
The hotel and the restaurant didn’t fail us. We had a great vacation in April. We celebrated my sister’s birthday in the sauna building and our own anniversary at the dinner in the restaurant Aanaar. Both were exceptional. Breakfast is one of the best we have had in hotels (and we have seen lot around the world). We have been enjoying this restaurant’s wonderful menus during many years and it was nice...
Spent a week at Wilderness Hotel Juutua in mid March. The experience was truly amazing. The hotel took care of everything right from the pick up from the airport to my drop off. The Hotel has organised my entire week's agenda very well. I stayed in the Arctic room which was big, clean and had a wonderful view of the river. The hotel staff are welcoming, professional and friendly. The amazing and helpful...
We stayed here for 3 nights with the Aurora break. Everything was so well organised, everyone we came across from drivers to receptionist to guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. Our entire trip was amazing with plenty of activities but also enough down time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It was such a peaceful and stunning location within walking distance to a small town as well as forest walks...
Wanted a "different" holiday, that was winter without skiing. Got that and more. Landing at Ivalo, there was a transfer direct to the hotel Everything is so well organised. Rooms allocated. Warm clothing next door. Timetable / plan. Everyday teh plan for the day and teh next day is updated so you know where to be, what to where and what to expect. With a 4 night stay we met the reindeer, sledged with...

Stayed over for one night. Good breakfast and friendly service. Only minus was that there were no shampoo in the bathroom. Only some soap that was not meant for hair. The reception did not sell any shampoo, but luckily the K-Market was just across the street.

Really one of the most amazing vacation places I’ve ever been to. Such a friendly, cozy, and positive atmosphere. The nature around this place is beautiful, almost healing. I can’t wait to return.
We were helped and directed to this place by a friend who has lived in the area for a long time. Kaamasen Kievari is a welcoming environment with a wonderful homey feel. Would stay here again.
Northern lights right in front of your doorsteps, basic comfortable rooms, welcoming hosts, lovely dogs,
When entering Kaamasen Kievari, it's a home coming. The lady of the house is amazingly friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. The cottages are very clean and cosy, no TV though, but who cares. Breakfast is a treat, whatever you need to start a sporty day. A typical Sami dish (reindeer) can be asked for. Just lovely. And worth to mention, they have a pool table. 🙂
The White fish is very fresh and delicious. Salmon soup and reindeer soup are a must try. The fries and sausage was surprisingly good too. Hunter's steak was ok but I'm generally don't like hanger steak but the flavors were good.

Truly amazing boutique hotel, excellent staff and the guides couldn't have been better! It is a wilderness hotel so don't expect shops around the corner but that's the point of it. Had an amazing time, lots of good food, fun and breathtaking excursions. Even the Northern lights put on a show for us!
Amazing room. Had the panorama scenic room with its own jacuzzi and sauna. It came with a small kitchen. But shops are far.
This was such an amazing experience and the staff were beyond spectacular. My wife and I spent a long weekend here and experienced as much as we could during our short visit. The food alone was divine and we would gladly come here again. Sadly we weren't lucky enough to see the lights during our stay but we still met some great people and made some unforgettable memories.

Loved the food, place seems kept and neat. For me the biggest thing was the birds. Saw the siberian jay for the first time, that alone would land 5 stars from me. Lovely place.
Visited several times. Last time a few days ago. The place is famous for it's local excellent food (great portions) and special birds. The beds are awesome! 24 hrs free coffee, tea and cookies. Fridge and watercooker in the very clean(!) rooms. I love staying here. But you have to be aware of where you are: in Lapland's wilderness, with a local family. If it is your first time around it can be overwhelming...
Fantastic place for birdwatching! The bird feeders have an almost endless supply of birds especially in the mornings. The cafe setting is cosy, food is secondary but the overall feel is really nice.
Truly idyllic place to stop and spend a night or more. Enjoyed the sauna by the water! Enjoyed my breakfast while watching squirrels play by the trees. Cottages for two are comfortable and you have your own fireplace that you can set up.
Good food and amazing viewing place. This place has big windows and outside there is lot of bird feeders where you can spot lot of different kind of birds and maybe even a squirrel. Inside is decorated with bird species posters so you'll know for sure what birds you have seen.
What a discovery! Generous and fine breakfast at a very reasonable price. Cozy and charming. With a spectacular view on bird feeders. Definitely worth a stop, if only for a coffee and the view.

Great place to stay with family/friends, beautiful views. We stayed in December. Food was awesome at restaurant 😎. Lots of snow activities as additional fun during your trip. noticed bit delay on serving the dinner.
Great hotel for a family or couple vacation. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing. My family thoroughly enjoyed Aurora Village!
Beautiful place, excellent food, really good service. I am not sure what else you can ask for. Staff were super helpful and nice and the food was outstanding.
The best trip we have ever been on, the views are breathtaking, the food exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! We can’t wait to come back next year, a trip we will never forget.
Spectacular rooms and the meals are great. 3 course dinners generally. Buffet style breakfast including continental. The rooms are cosy and warm with lovely panoramic view of the sky. Good amenities. All round great experience and staff were very friendly!
Really nice hotel with great activities and also restaurant. The hut are really cosy and so cool to see the northern lights straight from the bed. :)

A nice motel with a great location on the river, friendly staff, very good breakfast, and fair price. Popular cafe, free parking, complementary sleds were nice. Definitely needs bathroom upgrades and room investment. How about tour information and ice skating on the river or hotel adjacent?
I dined here one evening, meals were cooked to perfection, staff very friendly and welcoming, highly recommended for a warm, pleasant atmosphere and good food :-)
Very nice stay in the deluxe room (in the side building near the river) - Nice view on the river and the aurora in the night. - lovely room, nice sauna, all new and very clean. Nice fire place on the balcony - Breakfast is okay, different things to choose from, but it is the same every day - Friendly staff - supermarket nearby. - Good starting poit for nice hikes to the woods and lakes - We would recommend...
Nice hotel and nice its restaurant. Some rooms are old. Poor cleaning service. Poor maintenance as a bathroom without working lights was left like that because nobody could fix it. Two days without hairdryer, no linen were changed in 6 nights, no tea, coffee and sugar replacement neither. Reception staff ok.
What a wonderful stay! Personal were excellent and were very helpful. They even supported us with an issue we had with a tour we had book (not via the hotel). We booked the room with the private sauna 😌 was so nice! We had lunch there on our last day and it was 👌 I really recommend this hotel. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful.
The food here is really good ... carb-loaded for the weather but delicious. Try the reindeer borscht, and the salmon in rye bread with veg risotto is also really good!

Beautiful location. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Everything was great!
Great experience on a 4-hour husky tour at this family-operated farm. They really take care of the huskies and know what they’re doing and it’s a lot of fun. You get the full time on the tour and you’re really in the wilderness (no snowmobile in the lead as some companies apparently use).
The staffs are very friendly and patient in replying all the questions and they are happy to share their knowledge. We attend the 4 hours husky safari and it was one of the most unforgettable activities I have ever had. It was easy to learn how to ride the sledge and the dogs are super energetic. The lunch we had at the tent was yummy and warm with tea or coffee. The views all along the trip were magnificent...
Definitely book your stay! This cozy guesthouse is so unique with the huskies a few steps away from the front door. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, tucked away in the snowy forest, with big windows to enjoy the view with a cup of tea. Firstly, the reception was very kind, she assisted us with the thermal suit, gloves and winter boots making sure we had worn them correctly and had the right size. We stayed here for a one night stop as part of a Globus tour in July. There is not much to do in the town of Ivalo, but out back of the hotel there is a seating area that overlooks the river. Rooms were basic, and warm in the summer as there is no A/C and no breeze off the river. There is a sauna that is available after 6 PM. The breakfast buffet was nice and there was a selection of both hot and...
The hotel is located on the south side of Ivalo District and on the riverside. On the first night we saw the Northern Lights in the open space in front of the hotel! The opening hours are until 9:30 in the morning, which is...
Our room was so hot , with no air conditioning so we suffered during the night . Unfortunately we were told the rooms had air conditioning It will be ok in Winter I expect but to be avoided in Summer However the breakfast was great and the bar very good Good location too
We stayed here one night as part of a Globus tour. Ivalo seems to be in the middle of nowhere and I guess is a good stopping point for tour groups. This hotel isn't anything special. It's just two floors. There was a questionable elevator and an easy set of stairs up to our room. Our room was simple, small and looked like an IKEA catalog. The bathroom was very small and seemed to be renovated compared...
Hotel is on a beautiful location when it comes to nature, but there's not much to do in the vicinity of the hotel. Hotel room was okay, but bathroom wasn't. The bathroom was very small and when I took a shower the whole bathroom-floor was wet, even though I had shut the doors of the shower cabin. The room nor the bathroom weren't that clean either. This is a very nice hotel for the area. Good basic rooms with compact bathrooms featuring a good shower. The black out curtains were not effective unfortunately.
