Hotels in Kemi

Stayed at Kemi for Icebreaker experience. I have chosen Scandic Kemi, furniture in the rooms are not modern, bathroom is not welcoming and I did not want to take a shower. Beds were clean, temperature of the room was not adjustable, it was enough for cold winter but I prefer if it can be increased. Breakfast was nice, there were plenty of food options.

Nice stay at Kemi Scandic in Ski week. Couldn’t use pool because of cold water(around 20 degrees) but sauna and breakfast was nice. Illumination inside rooms could be enhanced to feel more lively rest everything was fine. Reception staff were welcoming. It is located around 1 km from railway station and there are few markets/shops at walking distance. Snow castle is around 1.5 km but that’s also walkable

The front desk manager lady was very helpful and professional and made our stay pleasent. The rooms are plane but nice and clean. The food at breakfast and dinner was quite good too.

I used this as a base to go to Rovaniemi. It’s well worth the savings. Our family of 4 had a lot of fun in the junior suite on the first night. It’s spacious, has a sauna, and 3 beds (1 larger, 2 smaller), enough for parents and their two kids. The other night we changed to a standard room and it was much more cramped. This is a very outdated hotel that is in urgent need of renovation and refurbishment. One example was the bathroom mirror in my room that was some kind of build-it-yorself type of mirror. The breakfast is however okay with a good selection of classic Finnish dishes. The staff is friendly and supportive.

Friendly staff and nice service for us and our dog who loves the toy he got. Breakfast was good and would have been perfect if a cappuccino would have been available.

The real question is why you would go to kemi !? I have to confess my only reason was the villa. And actually I didn't know that the snow castle was not built this year. Since we were the only guests in the hotel, we couldn't enjoy some facilities, as the ice bar that was open for us just on Friday. Also, the breakfast served in the room was simple and didn't reach our expectations. Although the view was amazing and the reception lovely. We know the situation was atypical due to pandemic.

Renewed by new owners. Clean and good beds, room 302 has a small sauna, which was a huge plus when returning from kilpisjärvi. Breakfast was also a bit better than the norm.

Place is clean and quiet, with delicious breakfast, free Wi-Fi, close to motorway, and only 3km from Kemi center.

Hotel Yöpuu is located near Kemi. The central part of the hotel looks like an unfinished lighthouse. The hotel has spacious rooms and a large sitting area.

I brought a group of more than 60 people to this hotel, and I had a great experience. There’s a sauna, the breakfast is varied and excellent, and the building is cozy. The ladies at the reception were truly lovely. I highly recommend it.

Nice hotel in Kemi! We were able to check in early which was nice, and the breakfast starts quite early if you are leaving the city early. It is a old hotel but it does its job well! The staff is super friendly as well.

Very cozy hotel with traditional and vintage deco. Rooms are spacious, some even have their own saunas. It feels like you are travelling back in time while staying here. Staff is very nice and helpful. Although a bit old, everything is functioning correctly.

Quite old but clean hotel. Room was really hot even at winter time, AC didn't exist. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Service was superb, even hilarious. Free parking and WiFi.

Really friendly staff. Excellent food in the bar which is well stocked. Breakfast was adequate. Only thing that lets the hotel down is the decor. Very home worldly but in sad need of an uplift. Bedrooms are dated and the beds are not overly comfortable.

A hotel built from ice Inside the building is a room with an ice bar, each room is decorated in different styles. According to cartoons or stories, there is also a church that was built and designed with ice skates inside with a large slide courtyard. And small size for children to play and take pictures together

The theme of the castle changes every year. The hotel is overpriced if you stay overnight. But during the day all the rooms are open to visitors. You can lie down and take pictures.

The room was big, quiet even though it's in front of the railway. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The building is pretty and the café downstairs really good.

Beautiful rooms, nice and cosy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. Breakfast in the cafe is very good. I really recommend this little gem if you want to stay in Kemi.

Very good service. ! The staff was serviceminded and kind to us and even came up to our room and made an extra bed in The middle of The night. Supernice! Amazing room, perfect temperature and clean. Good price ! We Will defenitly visit this hotell again if we Come to kemi.

A nice and pleasant place to stay. Retro spirit creates coziness. The service is very good and friendly. Breakfast is sufficiently versatile, porridge is a special plus. We stayed in a large family room with fur bunks. Before we visited, I was not sure whether a hostel and shared bathroom would work out OK for us but I really enjoyed the experience. Being a hostel, it had a lot of shared space (with a snooker table, kitchen facilities, sauna, communal room) and the bathrooms were big and clean. It was quiet and we never felt crowded. Located 5 min walk from the train station with easy access to Snow Castle. Cozy room, nice pantry and 2 spacious Saunas on site. Self checkin is very streamlined

A cozy and clean hostel at nice location. Just about ten minutes walk from the train station. Well equipped. Even arriving late in the evening or leaving early in the morning, self check-in/out can be done easily. Really good value for money.

Great first impression of the hostel. We made check in next day because we came late in the night, and there were not problems at all. The staff were very friendly and helped us with everything we needed and even more. The room was clean, and comfy with a big bathroom. I was very pleased with my stay, 100% recommended.
