We travelled as a group of four adults with a 15-month-old baby. I was a little cautious when booking this hotel due to some of the reviews, but we honestly couldn’t fault our experience. We stayed in Chalet 6 and it was perfect - warm and cosy (sometimes even too warm!). The chalet had all the utensils, plates, and cooking equipment we needed, and having an oven was a huge bonus as it meant we could shop at the supermarket and cook our own meals. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Two members of our group also had ski lessons and used the slopes, which they really enjoyed. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and couldn’t fault our experience at all

Service attitude from the restaurant staff was bad, he seemed like it didnt matter what my order was, tried to threaten with long wait time and force us to eat the buffet instead. When the order came, got my bolognese order wrong with a carbonara, again threatened with long wait time of redo-ing the order and tried to push for me to take the carbonara. Food was generally bland and fall short of average standards.

How is this classed as a hotel ? It’s more like a school canteen at meal times, scrambling for a table, the staff then have the cheek to tell you you need to scrape your food into the bin, clean the table of all plates and glasses whilst they are standing behind a bar doing nothing ! Food was gross, nothing good about this hotel at all ! Bar service was awful, never stocked properly. Canterbury should be ensuring this hotel is much better than it is considering the cost of the holiday. It was a real downside to what would have been the perfect holiday if not for this awful excuse for a hotel.

Hotel Suomu in Suomutunturi. Be careful with travel deals from Mondial Tourisme, Carrefour, Leclerc... They are dishonest! We had many problems with them. Nothing was honored. Along with other dissatisfied customers, we joined forces, hired a lawyer, and launched legal action. If your stay at Hotel Suomu in Suomutunturi was a disaster, then join us. Suomutunturi a beautiful place the snow and skiing was excellent, the facilities are first class and the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my visit ☺️

The hotel building and rooms were very nice. The ”basic” room was surprisingly big and had big windows and a great view to the ski slopes.
I was a little disappointed with the restaurants. We had pizza at Arctic Ski Bistro, it was decent but I wish there were more options.
At the hotel or near it there is no kiosk or any kind of store. The restaurants offered a very limited selection of snacks and drinks. Not ideal if you’re spending multiple nights.
Overall there was nothing wrong, but I expected more value to the money, our stay wasn’t cheap.

Nice rooms with a view.
We had a buffet dinner since we are with a tour group. The spread and taste was good too.
Met the skiing instructor who was very friendly. A pity we didn’t have time to get some lessons.

Bar, restaurant and view amazing. We all loved the ski slopes. Friendly staff and lovely food. Manager came to meet us at the table gave kids free ice cream, locals were friendly. We’ve booked again for next year! The lunch buffet was nice and good value. Drinks expensive but that’s same over all of Finland!

Magnificent landscapes, tranquility, silence and friendly staff, even if you have to systematically speak English. Sleigh ride pulled by reindeer, scam only lasts 5 minutes, luckily we can feed them.... and you are about 10 minutes from the farm, about ten reindeer at most to see, tourist trap given the price, shame
