Good hotel for this price but several things aren’t clear Room was near super loud bar where people party untill 2am Breakfast was just super simple and cost 25€ for two No champoo provided, no fridge, no even water in the room Bed was very comfortable and amazing to sleep on

Quaint Hotel with some interesting decor! Room was big enough, modern bathroom, air con was noisy, but at least it was there! Staff were lovely and there was a great breakfast. Location city centre square. Be very sure of where you're going to and parking, if you're driving. Google Maps isn't up to date with the current road closures for pedestrianisation and arriving by car for us was not fun...

First and foremost, the service at Saint Julien was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were warm, and welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. They were attentive, accommodating, and always ready with a smile. From the moment I checked in until the day I checked out, I felt like a valued guest.

Excellent central location 20 meters from a very convenient subterranean parking lot. The hotel is only a 3 star and our room was not among the nicest I assume. It was accessed from the Bar side through a very narrow staircase. We have just spent 2 nights here and we found the room very clean and modern with all the necessary equipment with a comfortable bed and good shower. the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast a good continental one with Angers well worth a visit especially the castle.

Location excellent. Bar great. Room and bed small, poor lighting in both room and corridors. No water, tea coffee facilities in room, pillows hard.

Great and central location for a visit in Angers. Parking was possible practically only 200 m away from the hotel.

We were very happy to find this hotel located in the heart of the city with easy walking distance to the main sights and restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff, particularly the Breton receptionist, was extremely helpful and professional. Great value for your money!

Quiet hotel given its location in the heart of the city. Welcoming staff. Room warm, clean and a good size with everything you need. Will definitely stay again if I am in angers again

Beautiful old building, great location, nice staff but it’s quite expensive for what it is and compared to other places in Angers. Tiny rooms with tiny beds, no toiletries apart from soap. No kettle in the room. They could try a bit harder

If there was a 10* option I would give them this rating! From start to end the experience was fabulous, staff went beyond expectations to ensure our stay was fantastic.amazing staff! We had a nice stay and the hotel is very clean. The receptionist is always smiling. They have a bike garaje, if you are bike touring.

We stayed in the hotel for one night while travelling by bike. Both receptionists were super friendly and attentive (5* for them). They had a special deposit for our bikes, which was great. The location is very central, you can visit everything by foot. The price was fair and the room very comfortable. Some small maintenance would be necessary, specially in the bathroom.

It is ok, close to the train station. Room is very basic, however the bed was comfortable and the room was quite even though it faced a road. Cons: - The carpet seems to be dated - would have appreciated to have music or radio channel as from the 30 channels only 3 are international. Although I was informed that building work was being carried out on the hotel, the description was that it was confined to the new lobby area. It was a surprise therefore that my wife and I were woken up by workmen on the roof right outside our bedroom window. The hotel was nowhere near to full capacity and we could have been located in a room on the opposite side of the corridor.

During my stay I had a tooth abcess resulting in a swollen cheek. I was visiting from England and do not speak french and I was very grateful to Timothy on the check in desk, it was Sunday and he was able to find me an emergency appointment with a local dentist. Excellent stay here, staff were welcoming and accommodating the bar and resturant were great the ‘Burger with Camembert’ was soooo tasty! The rooms are nice and cosy the only bit that prevents the 5 stars is the bathrooms feel quite dated and are in need of some renovation.

Super place to stay within an easy stroll of the centre and about 15 minutes to the chateau. The welcome was warm and the two staff members helped us cheerfully and efficiently. Currently this hotel is being renovated. Nevertheless good amenities and maintaining it's quality. Breakfast had good options and receptionists can talk English.Will recommend.

—USA review. Clean hotel and has customer service that speaks English. Located next to a beautiful garden and park. A walk from the train station but don’t get it confused with the other Hotel Mercure up the street. Get breakfast in town and don’t leave your window open if you are traveling in the summertime. We had lots of bugs on the ceiling.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff at this beautiful, historic hotel! They went above and beyond to help us, including making appointments for our pre-flight COVID tests. Highly recommend!

It's a great hotel in a great location, there is a cheep car park under the hotel but a free one just across the river, it's worth the walk after a 600 km drive :)

Cheap, basic but definitely does what you expect it to - it's somewhere to lie down overnight. Showers were really good, staff helpful and spoke some English. Breakfast wasn't the best however, would recommend going o a bakery and buying some proper food
