Orizonte Hotel

Our stay here began in the most unusual way. I had booked accommodation close to this hotel but, when we arrived, it did not appear to exist. Spotting the hotel, I went in to reception, complete with family, to ask if they knew of it. No, but the lady at the desk – Anna, as it turned out – called a friend who came and tried to help. Long story short, we stayed in the reception using their wifi while we tried to sort it with our booking agent (happy ending, a full refund and compensation was forthcoming) however, it was now 5pm and we were a family with two teenagers and nowhere to stay. That’s when Anna suggested: ‘You could always stay here…’. No hard sell, just a friendly suggestion and that sort of sums up the vibe of Hotel Orizonte, where we ended up staying for the next seven days – friendly, easygoing yet everything as smart and efficient as it could be. And the deal Anna offered us was very competitive. Some details about the hotel, it’s right on the seafront so you have a choice of a small but attractive beach or the excellent hotel pool. There’s plenty of free parking, so no problem there, and when you walk into reception the cleanliness and simple yet attractive design welcomes you. The rooms are OK, clean and reasonably equipped although a fridge would have been helpful, and the balcony has room enough for four people to sit around the table, and all have a sea view. Breakfast is plentiful with a couple of hot dishes (bacon and scrambled eggs) but also plenty of sweet and savoury items to keep this vegetarian happy. And there are a number of local specialities – you must try the chestnut jam...it’s fantastic! Location wise, it’s an easy drive to Bastia and well positioned for reaching all points on the island, so long as you have a vehicle. I thoroughly recommend this place and thanks for the stay everyone!

Loved the attentive staff at this charming Mediterranean coastal hotel. In early May, the AC wasn't working at first, but we had some hot sunny sunrises, and the management got the system running for the season. Nicer views from "2 d" floor, but no elevator, so trade off ok for us older folk.

Hotel is a nice beachfront hotel with a unheated pool. Excellent and varied cold breakfast: cereals, yogurts, cheese, meats, juice, coffees and pastries. The staff are exceptional. All were excellent: our favorite staff member was Andrea. She speaks 4 different languages, and she and her colleague gave us great advice on things to do and great local restaurant recommendations. They also did our laundry for a fee. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel, lovely staff, very clean, particulary friendly was a guy at the breakfast (Kevin), he was very kind and made us coffee every morning. we would recommend the hotel to everyone who likes peace and proximity to the sea. Pool was very clean and the views are amazing.

very good hotel with good services and position. close to the beach and it has a good pool for children. Special thanks to Kevin for good service during breakfast and dinner! rooms are bigger than what i expected and i reccomend this hotel for sure!

Beautiful location on a beach and very quiet and peaceful . Walking distance to a handful of delightful local restaurants. Hotel staff very helpful and we had big room with huge bacon y and sea view . Lovely big pool . Easy drive from Bastia airport .

Amazing staff ... nothing was a problem. Beautiful fruit bowl in our room for our anniversary. Fredericka even phoned our car hire company for us as our french wasn't good enough. Lovely clean room and bathroom with a bath. We had a sea view. Pool very clean and quite and also easy 2 minute walk to the beach.

Nice location, quiet. Get a update to a seas site view 110€. (for off season somewhat too expensive). Breakfast and dinner good. Not too expensive. Good WIFI.
