Hotel Bristol Reims

Location is great, the rooms are awful. We found broken glass on the floor and on the bed and unfortunately found it by getting cut, green exit sign in the room that never turns off, windows don't close properly, bathroom vents don't work so the bathrooms don't dry causing bathroom floor to be cracked and have a gross smell (probably mold). The "fresh" towels had makeup on them. This is not a hotel it's a motel choose a different place unless you need somewhere to throw up. Negligence law suit waiting to happen and the staff clearly don't care.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL, honestly I do not know how can they call themselves a 3 star hotel. While this hotel is situated in a great location, it is not worth the money they ask for.
To begin with, the rooms (or at least the room me and my wife got during our trip to Reims) was red walls with black accents and it had 3 twin size beds, 2 of which were pushed together and a random twin bed across on another wall. the closet did not fit both our small bags, and there were no dressers or decent sized nightstands that I could use to put my clothes in. We were forced to book a bedroom with 3 beds due to availability and because when we made our booking, we knew hotels in Europe are small but even with that knowledge; the room we booked was tiny even for 2 people. Also, when we booked the hotel, we trusted the pictures of the rooms they have on the booking site and as soon as we saw our room, we were beyond disappointed. The room carpet was dirty in multiple spots, the safe was completely exposed and almost over one of the beds; the room wifi sucked but because you are using the wifi of the restaurant on the ground floor (so if you are foreign and don't have a data plan, you will not have good internet connections at all); and to top it off certain parts of the room (including the bathroom) still smelled to the body odor of whomever was there before us.

We had planned to stay two nights in this "hotel" while in Reims but within 30 minutes of checking in, we found a much much nicer hotel available a quick walk down further down the plaza and to our surprise, it would only be 40 euros more than what "Le Bristol" was charging us for the same amount of nights.

We left the same night we checked in. We tried to get a refund but because they charged us upfront (which was a huge mistake from our part), the lady in the front desk made it sound like there was nothing she could do because her manager would have to approve the refund for the breakfasts and the remaining nights so the only option we had to get our money back as to email back in the morning. At which point we didn't care about the money and left.

Do yourself a favor and before booking this hotel, check the 4-star hotels in the same plaza, you may find a nicer, more comfortable hotel that will only cost you a few more euros than what this place charges.
