Domaine les Crayeres

My husband and I stayed for three nights at Domaine Les Crayères and only regretted that we hadn't booked a longer stay! Everything from the atmosphere, the grounds, the delicious food and drinks and most importantly, the people were nothing less than perfect. We were enchanted by the loveliness of the chateau and our beautiful room as well as the extensive gardens and the quietude. We have never been here before now, but we will certainly be coming back. From the moment we arrived at the Domaine Les Crayères, we were utterly captivated. Driving down the estate's stately driveway, our anticipation built with every moment, and the warm welcome from the hotel staff immediately set the tone for what would be an unforgettable stay.

Upon entering the grand château, we were greeted by the delightful reception team who embodied the perfect balance of professionalism and genuine hospitality. Before we knew it, we were whisked away to The Scottish Bar, where I indulged in a glass of my favorite Barons de Rothschild Champagne. Surrounded by plush interiors and the hum of quiet sophistication, this was the perfect prelude to what lay ahead.

The next surprise came when we were informed of an upgrade to a room that could only be described as breathtaking. Perched on the top floor, the room offered panoramic views of the estate’s immaculate 7 hectares of gardens and the majestic Reims Basilica in the distance. Waking up to this serene beauty was a moment I’ll treasure forever.

Our stay coincided with a visit to the Ruinart Champagne House, conveniently just a five-minute walk from the hotel. Upon returning, I took a moment to soak in the elegance of Les Crayères, enjoying yet another glass of champagne on the terrace. The tranquil ambiance, paired with the charm of the gardens, offered a sense of peace that was truly rare.

Dinner that evening at Brasserie Le Jardin was nothing short of extraordinary. Thanks to the attentive reception team, our reservation was seamlessly adjusted to suit our schedule. The meal itself was divine—the foie gras was perfectly rich, and the scallops were exquisitely tender and flavorful. What made the evening even more special was the personal touch of Arnaud Valary, the hotel manager, who came to wish us a happy anniversary. His gesture epitomized the thoughtful service that defines Les Crayères.

This was, without a doubt, the most magical hotel experience we’ve ever had. Every detail, from the opulent setting to the impeccable service, came together to create a stay that exceeded even our highest expectations. We left with full hearts and are already dreaming of our next visit to this jewel in the heart of Champagne.

There are literally not enough stars or Michelin keys to express how astoundingly fabulous this place is. It’s not just a hotel: it’s a luxurious experience. From the moment you arrive, the entire staff makes you feel special and pampered. The room and grounds are stunning and comfy, kept in the old style but modernized for all the little things: usbC charging ports, mechanized blinds, refillable filtered water. And restaurant le Parc was PHENOMENAL, earning every single one of its 2-Michelin stars… the tasting menu was beautifully paired with a bottle of Champagne (of course)!
If I could, I’d move in! An all-around exceptional experience!

Possibly the nicest hotel property I have ever visited. The building itself is beautiful and historic, sitting a top a hill overlooking a beautiful green space and within easy walking distance of several of the better known champagne houses. The room we stayed in was luxurious and very comfortable.

But beyond the physical luxury, what made the visit so memorable were the staff members that attended to us during the stay. They were all so welcoming, polite and incredibly helpful. Five stars for service just does not do it justice. The service team is really to be commended for the way everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything that we needed. It made our stay perfect.

Of special mention was Rafaelle who greeted us warmly every time he saw us and was always looking to make sure we had everything we needed. His friendly assistance was a highlight of every day we were there. Thanks Rafaelle for your help!

Another thing we really enjoyed during our stay was the daily breakfast. It was very delicious and we looked forward to some real delights such as the fresh-pressed apple juice and the scrambled eggs. I wish we had remembered the name of the wonderful woman who served us breakfast on most days we were there. She was so pleasant and efficient.

All told, a wonderful stay at a beautiful historic property. Simply outstanding.

One of the best hotels we're stayed at in France, if not the world. Domaine Les Crayeres is quintessentially French, with old world charm, warmth, and exceptional hospitality. The hotel is a former family estate, and it really feels like it in the best possible way. Location is perfect for touring Ruinart, Pommery, Tattinger, and Veuve.

The staff are helpful, sincere, and do everything they can to make your stay incredibly comfortable. Our room was very elegant yet comfortable, with a very nice bathroom, a comfortable bed, and air conditioning that worked very well. Dinner at Le Parc was exceptional. Much like the rest of the property, the service was extremely professional, but never overbearing, and definitely not overly formal. The food was excellent - lot's of seasonal ingredients, techniques that were clever without being unnecessarily fussy, and wine pairings were all perfect. The chef even came out at the end to say hello to diners and was very friendly.

Highly recommended. We will certainly be back.

We had a lovely stay and dinner at Le Parc. Wish we had made it more than one night. My only suggestion, is that for the price, you should include amenities in the mini-bar. Charging EUR 12 for a small jar of nuts was insulting. Just raise your prices.

Amazing hotel, one of the best I’ve stayed !!! Luxury to the max , wonderful staff since you step on the property , starting by Rafael the valet parking assistant who is super attentive , and professional , the front desk people very nice , helpful , they made reservations for us , for cellars and restaurants, and the two restaurants and bar in the hotel outstanding!!! Also the rooms , the gardens are beautiful !!! I recommend this place 100% as the best in Reims area !!!

I can’t say enough about the service here. I needed a doctor while staying and he was with me in ten minutes. The concierge helped me with a scheduling mishap at our next stop in Dijon. The Michelin star Parc is the best meal we’ve had thus far in France. Five star recommend, thank you for a lovely time.

Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful location in Reims. They were so helpful and communicative before the trip to set up tastings and dinner reservations. The room was beautiful and spacious. The welcome champagne and bar/lounge area is amazing. We only spent 2 nights and still talk about how wonderful it was. It was decorated for Christmas too, which was so special!
