**Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Facilities**

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a highly disappointing experience. I booked a room with a sea view, but upon arrival, I was placed in a matrimonial room with a portable bed. This was not what I reserved and expected.
Furthermore, when we were handed the room key, the staff made an inappropriate and racist comment, saying that my skin color was "darker than the others." This behavior is completely unacceptable and left us feeling very uncomfortable.
To add to the disappointment, there was no shampoo in the room, and it had an unpleasant odor. Despite paying for a package that included breakfast and dinner, we were surprised to find that drinks were not included and required an extra payment. Additionally, the umbrella on the beach was removed because it wasn't paid for, which required another extra charge.

Overall, the service and amenities did not meet the standards promised or expected. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Title: A Hazardous Nightmare – Never Stay Here!

Avoid the Choral Blue Beach Hotel in Gerakini at all costs! My recent experience was nothing short of a disaster, and I feel compelled to warn others before they make the same mistake.

Undrinkable Salt Water: The water in this hotel is straight from the sea—brackish and completely undrinkable. For families with young children, this is not just an inconvenience; it’s a serious health risk. We traveled with our 8-month-old, and despite informing the staff, they allowed us to use this dangerous water for everything. I had to buy numerous bottles of fresh water from a nearby village just to ensure our baby’s safety. Young babies cannot drink salt water, and this negligence could lead to dire consequences!

Incompetent Communication: We requested a crib for our child, and the hotel completely dropped the ball. They failed to respond to our email, and when I called to confirm, they absurdly claimed I hadn’t sent it. To top it off, I discovered there was a hidden €5 charge for the crib only upon arrival. This lack of transparency is infuriating and unacceptable!

Subpar Amenities: When the crib finally arrived, it was missing a mattress and was instead equipped with a flimsy blanket. Seriously? This is how you cater to families? The staff eventually replaced it, but why should we have to deal with such basic failures?

Health Hazards at the Beach Bar: The beach bar serves coffee made with the same undrinkable salt water! How is this even allowed? At breakfast, there was no drinking water available—only sugary juices and milk. This isn’t just a lack of service; it’s downright reckless!

Parking Nightmares: Parking is a complete disaster. I was told to leave my car on the street, outside the hotel’s property. This is not only inconvenient but also a huge safety risk. Leaving your vehicle exposed like that is absolutely unacceptable!

Broken Promises and Indifference: Upon leaving early, we were promised a refund for the two nights we didn’t stay, which I have in an email from the manager. However, when I contacted the booking website, they reached out to this specific manager, who then said no. This seems personal and mean-spirited, revealing that this manager is incompetent and unfit for their role. I have emails and screenshots that prove all of this.

In summary, the Choral Blue Beach Hotel is a health hazard disguised as a vacation spot. The undrinkable salt water, egregious communication failures, substandard amenities, and overall negligence make this place a nightmare.

Recommendation: Do yourself a favor and find somewhere—anywhere—else to stay in Gerakini. Your health, safety, and sanity are far too valuable to risk at this hotel!

"The stay at the hotel Across Coral Beach was very bad. The receptionist femel was extremely arrogant and rude, and they mixed up my room. The service was very poor, the food was bad during both breakfast and dinner, and while we were eating, they would take the plates away before we had even finished. The food was always the same and of poor quality. Most importantly, my roommate got food poisoning and ended up in the hospital all night until 12 PM the next day. On top of that, we had to check out by 11:00 AM. The female staff were extremely rude, constantly yelling and raising their voices. I didn’t feel comfortable or at ease during my entire stay at this hotel."

I’ll start with reception lady.. Jesus Christ that lady is crazy, doesn’t let you speak at all, she just doesn’t care.. Room was nice and breakfast was always good but that’s all. Pool is smaller than you think, beach is dirty and no one cares about that, not enough sunbeds at the pool and the beach. Food is not good bro let me tell you, I waited 45+min for pizza?? Like ***? And my boyfriend got pasta carbonara with mushrooms and salami? (That’s not carbonara, they just gave him pasta from lunch for all inclusive) they are too slow in general. Pool is also dirty like the walls are yellow where water ends. Internet is awful at rooms, only good at beach bar and maybe parking ooo and parking is omg there is no parking lol you go somewhere and on way back you pray that you’ll have parking spot lol. What else hmm.. we got dirty and ripped towels after 2 days without hotel towels.. we had to go to other beaches because private one was not good so everyday 30min drive to the beach and 30min back. You have some restorans close by but 5min with car and there is nowhere to go at night like to walk …Im sure think there is more but can’t remember now. Good luck:)

Despite the low scoring at booking, we've decided to book this hotel thinking "how bad could it be". Afterall we're all frequent travellers and have stayed in all sorts of hotels around the globe. Also as an events professional, I spend at least 100 days per year in hotels, so I thought that worst case scenario it will be tolerable and we're only there for a night.

We'll I can tell you that the Coral experience was something else....and hence I've decided to fully describe our experience to help families and individuals avoid this costly and awful experience..

First of all, we arrived at the hotel and the receptionist looked quite annoyed by our presence ...hardly what you expect from the front desk of summer resort..

Although we've booked two connecting double rooms at around 200euros per night, we're given a two bedroom tiny apartment that more resembles to a "rooms to let" 80s establishment rather than a luxury hotel.

Then we headed down their private beach which was equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds for the quests. The sand around the sunbeds was full of rubbish and when we asked from the waitress to clean it, we were told that we have to do it ourselves..... Then after an argument, the manager jumped in and said unhappily that they'll do it, after asking for our room number....

A few minutes later the same waitress comes over and tells us that we must either pay 10 euros for the set or spend minimum 3 euros each on drinks and food...We told her that we stay in the hotel having paid 200 euros for the night but she insisted that we must pay for the set or order something on the spot..

We've honestly never seen any hotel anywhere that charges its guests for such facilities..and also having their staff insisting to get paid on the spot..

Never again. I have too much negative words, that I don't know from where to start to talk. flies were flying everywhere on the food. There's not enough food for everyone, every day something is missing, milk, bread, eggs, fruits... Diagusting 😠 they don't have umbrellas and sunbeds for everyone, people must get to the beach early in the morning to reserve place on the beach, the beach is not clean...

The management was lazy and controlling. The two managers do nothing but sit all day and watch the employees’ hands. They are not helpful for the clients. All inclusive does not work. There should be snacks during the day but there aren’t ANY. Water served in the bar is very often not drinkable as it is salty! Durig a rainy day nobody cared to wipe wet floor in the restaurant (it was wet because the roof was leaking). Generally the staff is very very friendly but they can’t do anything because the management is trying to cut costs everywhere.
