Old hotel and room, very noisy… but for a night it’s ok

Not very clean Furniture Old 5/10

A low cost hotel that is located at Komotini city centre. It has great view of the city 🌆.

Hotel Orpheus is what seems like a very old run down hotel and it is.
The bathroom was old and when you ran the bathroom tap the waste water came around your feet.
The balcony. On the balcony the paint was really badly peeling off. A quick Sweep with a stiff broom would take off the loose paint. I'm sure it would look better. Still on the balcony, the air conditioning units drain pipe. I know they need to drain out somewhere. But all over the balcony. Put a new hose on it.
The bedroom. The bed would damage your spine if you jumped on it as it was rather hard. But I did sleep on it OK. The bedside lamps did not work and the curtain did not fit the window. So one could not shut all the light out. A spare blanket and pillow in the wardrobe would have been nice. As would a free bottle of water or two.
On the bright side.
The bathroom was clean as was the bedroom. The towels and sheets were clean.
The lift was clean and in good condition.
The reception staff could not have been nicer. Always greeted me with a big smile and a hello or good night, depending on the direction I was going.
It was right in the centre so ideal for eating and drinking without the need for a long walk or taxi.
Would I stay again? Yes. But I would love to see it refreshed a little next time.

Good for one night. It's clean and in the centre but you could hear everything. The breakfast is adequate but not much choice.
