A Truly Wonderful Stay – Culinary Delights and Exceptional Service!
My recent stay at hotel Makednos was nothing short of fantastic, largely thanks to two standout aspects: the incredible food and the exemplary service from the reception team.

It is a small hotel with a pool on the beach front.Thay ask much just for sun beds in front 60 to 40 eur..back sunbeds 10 eur per person. All the grass is burned by the sun, it doesn't look preety at all. There is no shower on the beach. They are also in construction, so there are plenty of construction things scattered around. I didn't like the reception at all-small narrow, round place..It seems like they want to take peoples money but they don't offer nothing in return.Also there are no concrete roads around the hotel- to much dust..the parking are dust and dirt as well.There is also one water canal next to the beach that doesn't look good at all.

We were on a vacation at the Makendos hotel in June. When we turned on the air condition, a pile of dirt fell on us. We reported it to the hotel manager, who sad she will send a maid (she came right away) and the technicians to fix it. They didn't come until the end of our vacation, and AC turned on whenever the voltage dropped, so the maid cleaned it twice more.
From the first day we woke up bitten, even though there wasn't a single mosquito in the room. We realized that we had bedbugs in our bed. We reported it and the manager told me that they were misquitoes. She sad that all rooms were vacuumed before the season started, because they are very responsible. I reminded her about the uncleaned AC and that's how we ended the conversation. Now I pray that we didn't bring bedbugs into the house.
Otherwise, the room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The food was simple but delicious. The maid was very nice.
If we didn't have a problem with bedbugs and AC, it would have been a god vacation.

Exelent hotel for vacation, the beach is nearby and beautiful especially for kids. The food was olso good regards to the chef. Personal is polite and helpful, the only negative part was that the air conditioner wasn't working in the whole block of the hotel and it was too hot to sleep at night!

Really good service for the budget. I loved the fish dishes every night. Regular buffet for breakfast and dinner, with several salads and several meats with sweet stuff for breakfast and some fruit for dinner. Rooms cleaned every day and clean towels provided and nicely folded on the bed. I think they even change beddings every second day.
Nice pool right in front (they even have some water massage things, but not all work though). Pool clean and nice, for kids and grownups.
The best part is the beach right in front of the hotel, some 30m of grass and nice stone paved path.
Beach bar is really cool, great music, food and drinks.

We are very pleased with location of the hotel. Especially when you are with children, beach is nearby, swimming pool is right in front of the hotel and that was most important thing for me. Food is ok, maybe we expect much better quality but it was tasty and ok. Suggest better sweets and cakes because we only have apples, oranges and pudding...Also, coffe, water and juice from the machines are disaster because they taste like they have salty water... I was a bit disappointed with room cleaning because we didn't have clean towels for two days and no one came to clean our room because one of their staff was ill, which is not an excuse.

We had family vacation from 15th up to 25th of June 2024.
Rooms with balcon not so new and not so clean. They have TV, WiFi, fridge but also wery old, noisy and dirty air condition 1/10
Nice pool with jakusi and part for kids, clean 5/10 Next to the poll bar with coffie and ice cream.
Breakfast and dinner taisty, compliments for chef 9/10 . Only low quality coffee 1/10, water from sink and machine juices for drink 1/10. For your money they do not alow to take food out of restaurant.
Staff next to the pool polite also two girls in restaurant. 9/10
Value for money 3/10

Big rooms, comfy pillows and beds, clean towels every day, cleaning every day, new sheets every second day, clean pool, nice beach nearby , small playground for kids. Mosquito nets, nice spot if you like to explore Sithonia. Nearest town Nikiti in 6 km with big supermarkets od taverns. Beautiful sunset you can watch from the beach.

Nice hotel, great beach near by....
I think that they should improve the meals, there should be more choice... and should add some more facilities for children, because most of the guests are families with children and the only playground is broken.

great hotel for parents with small children. It is close to the beach. Clean and tidy!
